About this property

Oceanfront Home in the pristine Canadian Gulf Islands

Ocean front house on one acre in rural setting very private and quiet. Great views of Saturna Island and Mount Baker. It is close to Poets Cove Resort which has a swimming pool, National Parks for hiking and access to two public beaches. Kayak launching is easy and the area is flat which makes it good for bike riding.

The house sleeps four with a queen size bed in the master bedroom and two twins in the second bedroom. There is one full bathroom with bathtub and shower and one half bath.

Please note that the washer and dryer are only available for stays of two weeks and longer unless a special arrangement is made.

Spectacular ocean view
Comfortable but old cottage needing upgrades. The view of the ocean and surrounding area are amazing and inspirational. Well equipped with amenities and all systems in good working order.

A slice of Heaven on Earth

Scenic and peaceful
We spent a week on Pender Island and had the bestvtime. The home is cozy, clean and very well appointed. There is a lovely view from every angle and the surrounding area is very peaceful. Richard is an excellent host, very responsive and helpful. My family and I can’t wait to return next year.

Rest and relaxation on Pender island
We had a lovely week long stay at this property! The views were spectacular. The various seating areas, with Adirondack chairs near the edge of the property overlooking the ocean and tables and chairs on the deck allowed for everyone to have as much space as they wanted. The house is spacious, with a lovely kitchen and plenty of cooking utensils. We cooked the entire time we were there. Blackberry bushes at the edge of the property and on the road provided luscious berries for a pie. It's a calm and peaceful property. We took advantage of the Enchanted Forest walks on the South Island. Communication with Richard was easy and greatly appreciated.

Great location, view and essentials!
Enjoyed our second stay at Richard’s cabin. The view from the cabin is lovely and the location is central for exploring beautiful Pender Island. We also really appreciated having a well stocked kitchen for preparing meals at home. Richard was a good host and checked in with us during the stay. Would recommend this spot to anyone visiting Pender Island.

Uninterrupted peace and quiet
A beautiful spot overlooking the ocean. Only rarely did the sounds of civilization intrude. The place was clean and orderly when we arrived. Everything we needed was there and everything was in good working order. Very comfortable and plenty of room. This was our second visit to this house and this trip was just as good as the first time.

Great spot!
Very quiet area on S. Pender. Striking views. Fully equipped kitchen. We made a full Thanksgiving dinner as we vacationed over the long weekend. Check in was a breeze. Excellent communication with the host. Perfect for our family.

It’s quite a peaceful location with a stellar view. You have a perfect view of the sunrise.The bed was comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked and clean.The living room has satellite TV and I think I saw some gaming units in the cabinet as well to keep the kids occupied.

Wonderful Spot!
We loved staying here on South Pender. The sunrise view was spectacular! We saw otters, seals and deer from the front deck. The house was as described in the listing, we found it to be very clean and comfortable. Would love to come again! The beach access point around the corner is a new favourite spot on South Pender. disappointment in a beautiful setting
The natural beauty of the setting was unparalleled. The house itself was in fairly rough shape with the screen door falling out of its frame, cobwebs all over the ceiling, paint peeling, utensils in the drawers dirty and a musty smell pervading the house. Most distressing of all was the fact that the washer and drier (which were advertised in the listing) were locked off and unavailable. The hot tub was full of dirty water and debris.

Vintage solitude
Great views from one of the quietest parts of Pender. We went over one of the busiest long weekends in BC and barely saw a soul. There's easy access to the ocean a short walk on either side of the property, with lots of interesting rock formations, sea life, and places to sit in the sun. If swimming is more your thing you'll probably want to drive to other parts of the island if it's not high tide. The area is fantastic for watching wildlife, especially birds. The cabin is roomy and comfortable with a kitchen stocked with any utensil/tool/pan you could need. Everything is appealingly of a 70s/80s vintage, though there's a large TV, video games, etc for those who don't actually want to time travel.
