This was the perfect getaway for us! The location was perfect and the house had all of the amenities we needed. Our host was responsive and so friendly. Would love to stay here again!
This was the perfect location for our large family gathering. Kerry was absolutely wonderful in accommodating all of our needs and special requests. And nothing beats this location right on the Bow River. Many Elk walked by every morning and evening. So beautiful. We would certainly rent here again if back in Banff.
The house was perfect for our family ski trip and the location couldn’t be better. Kerry Lee started us off with an incredibly well stocked house and was extremely helpful in every way possible.
House was so warm and inviting. Kerry was very helpful. Loved our welcome basket. The location was the best. Herd of elk came by one evening. All 13 of them. Were able to walk to town and to your shuttles.
Our family of 8 adults had a wonderful experience at Kerry’s home. The home was large, comfortable, clean, well stocked, and just two blocks from downtown Banff. Off street parking included. All kitchen appliances and cookware was available. Thank you Kerry for providing your lovely home.
Great location. Walk into town was very close. Saw 8 elk right outside the house on the Bow River. House was very comfortable. Would stay at this location again. Thanks
The property was all that was described! Spacious clean and so close to downtown Banff! We had such a wonderful time ! Kerry was a fabulous host and responded to whatever we needed right away.
We would definitely visit again!
We had an amazing stay in Banff. The house was everything that the write up stated. Kerry was a great host and the house was well stocked including a gift basket with snacks and wine.
We stayed at this house for my son's wedding at the Fairmont and could not have been happier! The house was spotless the beds were comfortable and the pantry was fully stocked! She also left a basket of food including 2 bottles of wine and a basket of fruit. The property is within walking distance of town which was a huge plus due to little town parking. There were 4 parking spaces available behind the house. It is a very quiet neighborhood. The master downstairs even has a heated bathroom floor. If you have little children it was stocked with everything needed! I highly recommend this property!
Great property. Steps from the Bow river. You can walk to everything in Banff. Lots of parking. Beds were comfortable, kitchen very well stocked - we were a family of 8 and cooked most meals, big spacious house that gave everyone privacy when they wanted it. I’d definitely stay here again. The owner was friendly, accommodating and helpful. Very smooth stay.
The house was a fantastic respite from the hectic throng of tourists in Banff. It was well stocked and very comfortable for the 6 adults in our group. Location on the Bow river was excellent and the trail along it was beautiful. Parked our car and walked or rode the bus everywhere. Kerry made check in seamless with lots of nice touches in the goody basket! Thanks!!
Great location by Bow River. Spacious, clean accommodations. Kitchen has everything - and I mean everything! Our host met us when we arrived and showed us around. The bedrooms and bathrooms easily accommodated our party of 5. There’s a lovely patio with a beautiful garden where we had tea in the morning and saw deer come by. Easy access to downtown Banff and to some hikes. We walked everywhere. Perfect spot!
Right on the river and 1/2 block from downtown Banff and a grocery store, the location is incredible. The house was plenty spacious for the 10 of us. We had wonderful meals at the dining table, the kitchen was large enough for all of us to hang out together, the beds were comfortable except for the couch/hide-a-bed. The heated floor in the downstairs bathroom was especially nice.It was a little bit of a shocker to discover that Kerry lived in the basement. That should have been disclosed. She is very nice and it was not a problem, just unexpected. It was odd to not get an empty freezer. We also left the house cleaner than we received it.The gas stove is large and works great, but the oven isn't that great. It has a hot spot in the back and difficult to dial the temp in, but after we discovered that and rotated the food more that normal, we made it work.We were there to make memories with the family and succeeded 100%. It was a great time.
Great location to explore Banff. Right across the street from the Bow River. Fully stocked kitchen. Helpful host (resides in basement below home) who left basket of snacks and treats that was much appreciated. Upstairs was a teeny bit warm overnight, as it was quite warm in Banff when we visited (early August). Would absolutely stay again if we are lucky enough to travel to the Canadian Rockies another time.
Kerry's house was perfectly situated - by the river (small street and path in front) and an easy walk to town. Comfortable and spacious inside with small back deck great for morning coffee. Kerry was very helpful and generous with a welcome basket, including bug and bear spray which we fortunately did not need. This was our first trip to Banff and the town can get a bit congested with lots of visitors from all over but the trails are close and the house was a great oasis to return to. Strongly recommend getting out on the water.
This house is exactly like it looks online. On the Bow river and 3 min. Walk from town. Excellent house for us, grandchildren and adult children could do activities separate or together. Kerry-lee was a wonderful host, could not figure something out in the kitchen, she was there to help. My grandchildren wanted to meet her dog she was very accommodating. We loved the kitchen to sit together for food, drink and conversation.
House was overall lovely and perfect for our group. Kitchen and pantry well stocked and the gift basket of snacks and bottle of wine was very nice. Perfect location in Banff, being right on the river and just a block or two from town. Host was very helpful and responsive.
Just a couple comments and suggestions. Shower head in bathroom with shower stall needs repair, water shot up towards ceiling. Otherwise worked fine.
Would like to suggest the second first floor bedroom be available. Perhaps could choose between that one and the back upstairs bedroom?
Overall would recommend the rental for families looking for extra space, a very good location in Banff and don't mind an older rental. A very nice welcome basket with snacks and wine upon arrival which was a nice add after a long day of travel.
The reason for the 4 stars is because the house is dated (somewhat hard to tell from pictures) and for the price range you can probably find newer lodging options. The owner of the property lives onsite (in the basement separate from the main house) which is not totally uncommon with house rentals but was not clear in the listing.
We really enjoyed our stay. The property needs a deep clean and some repairs. Nonetheless the home is very enjoyable with spacious rooms and nice views out the two front bedrooms.
Not having a garbage disposal and having to take the trash across the street to these bear proof trash containers is a bit of a hassle. Also the woman that owns/runs the property lives in the basement below the home with her own entrance. Not an issue for us but should probably be disclosed in the listing.
All in all we would be happy to rent here again.
I don't know where to begin because everything was absolutely perfect. We could not believe our luck. We were 7 so everyone had their own rooms and bathrooms. The house is designed for everyone to get together or have quiet times. The kitchen loves a gathering with comfy stools around the island, there is a verandah off the kitchen as well as adirondack chairs in the side yard so you could really go anywhere. The view of the Bow River was everywhere. All the beds were comfortable, the kitchen was very well equipped and there was lots of parking which is very important in Banff.
We couldn't have asked for a better place and Kerry is lovely. We all felt at home right away.

Not what we expected
Bring your earplugs and a warm coat! The home looks welcoming, situated by the Bow Valley river, but had some negatives that were hard to ignore. The blinds on the single paned windows in the bedrooms don’t work, so the street light shines in, and the train coming through at 3am feels like it’s taking its journey through your room. The owner was there to greet us on the first day, which was nice, but when we needed her help during the week was unavailable and didn’t respond to requests for days. The fridge was already partially filled with food left from previous guests, which left little room for our groceries. The gas stove and oven were a challenge to operate, and the outdoor BBQ had not been cleaned. We always knew when the owner was out, as she lived in the basement with her dog, who would yap constantly while she was away.
