About this property

There is No Ocean View Like it. Victoria Only 30 Minutes Away.

When my husband Bob and I purchased this property 13 years ago, we knew it was just too beautiful not to share. The ocean and mountain vistas are like no other. The most common comment we receive is 'Wow, what a million dollar view'.

We are situated on seven acres set in a private and peaceful setting. Our home is truly a great place to relax and enjoy the amazing views from the hot tub or gazebo on your private deck accessible from your private room entrance. Enjoy the spacious bathroom equipped with towels, misc. bath needs and comfy bath robes. Enjoy breakfast at your leisure in your room where fresh fruit, coffee, tea, ham or Canadian back bacon, eggs, cheese, homemade bread and preserves are provided for you to prepare at your leisure.

This is much more than a bed and breakfast. Many of our guest choose to treat it as a destination, taking time to relax and wind down. The gazebo and hot tub are yours to use exclusively during your visit. There is a BBQ provided which has been very popular. Your dishes are whisked away from behind the magic door (you have to check in for the rest of that story) and returned dishwasher cleaned.

If you choose to venture out, there are several hiking trails, wineries, fabulous restaurants, lakes and ocean beaches close by including the spectacular Malahat Sky Walk just 1.5 kilometers south. Mill Bay (about 5 minutes north) has shops, liquor store, Thrifty foods, Pharmasave and many other amenities.

The magical Malahat

This was the most beautiful place and one that will remain close to our hearts. My partner chose the breathtaking views to propose to me and we couldn’t have been happier to enjoy our stay infront of the propane fire pit drinking red wine overlooking Vancouver and the USA in the distance. Top that off with a hot spa, bacon and eggs for breakfast and a relaxing sleep in a huge king bed - there wasn’t anything I could say badly about this beautiful place and hospitality. Highly recommend to anyone and already have two friends booked the week after we got home.

Magnificent Malahat

The most incredible stay I've ever stayed. Incredible hosts that really put their love and care into their property and their guest's experience. They added so many little classy details for us to enjoy and they made us (and my dogs) feel warm and welcome and cared for the entire time. This was above and beyond my expectations and I would highly recommend

Sweet place to stay

We stayed here for our honeymoon and it was the perfect cozy place with the sweetest hosts. The view from the hot tub and private heated patio space was absolutely beautiful. The room itself was small and quaint, but it had many extra cozy amenities like the heated floor, towel rack, and toilet seat. The hot tub and patio were beautiful and we spent several hours relaxing there outside. The cheesy bread does indeed live up to the hype and was about half or our food the first two days haha. Only thing to improve upon might be the comfiness of the bed, but in every other aspect the stay was fantastic! We’ll definitely make every effort to come back!

Extraordinary view

Very thoughtful, touches and detail. Generous breakfast and comfy bed outstanding view. Relaxing outside areas and hot tub.. Even the toilet with heated seat, etc., Char was very helpful explaining how to work everything, and mostly with remote controls! Everything was So easy and accessible to have a comfortable stay. One thing we would’ve liked would be a seating area inside as we went in January and it was a little cool in the mornings. We enjoyed our stay and hope to return to take advantage of all the outdoor seating areas to read and enjoy the view! We did make a little fire in the private reading nook, and it was lovely. The view is breathtaking

Relaxing stay and amazing view

My partner and I had a very peaceful and relaxing stay. The view from the room and the hot tub are as amazing as described. The property is close to restaurants and stores in Mill Bay and not far from Victoria. The breakfast was delicious and Char made us a wonderful cheese bread. All of the features in the suite were very modern and luxurious. Char was very easy to communicate with and she was very responsive, we felt very welcome but also had a lot of privacy. We would definitely stay again!

This property has become our go-to getaway spot for a couples retreat! Bob and Char are great; they think of everything you could need and are always willing to help if you have a special request. Char makes the BEST homemade bread and all the fixings for a delicious breakfast and the local restaurants are fantastic! But the best part of this property is always- THE VIEW! Stunning in the sunshine and the rain. Even when the weather doesn't agree with you, there's still a cozy, warm spot to relax and enjoy! We just can't say enough great stuff about this place! Paradise

Really thankful that owners are willing to share the paradise that they have created with guests such as ourselves!! Fantastic views over mountains and sea. Fantastic facilities inside and outside!! Char and Bob have created a little paradise and no details have been overlooked from remote control patio door blinds to exterior lighting for enjoying sunset from one of the three seating points available or the hot tub!! Char and Bob are superb hosts and ensure that guests enjoy the experience of their stay here! Homemade bread, jam and ice cream are some of the luxuries to be enjoyed!! We truly enjoyed our time here and hope to return in the future!!

Bliss and a breathtaking view!

The property was beyond expectations. Pics are beautiful but don’t do justice to ACTUAL views/sunsets/sunrises. Location is great, a few towns nearby to suit a variety of needs - great eats, coffee shops and boutiques. Victoria is a short, scenic car ride away. Hosts have thought of everything you could need and went above and beyond for our stay (I am 6m pregnant and the hot tub temp was lowered so I could have a soak!) All in all, if this is the area you are looking at, fingers crossed they are available for your dates! Thanks again Char & Rob!

Wow! What a view!

There is no better place to enjoy an evening sipping, relaxing, and enjoying the view. Slip a little something on the BBQ, take a hot tub, maybe stroll down to the “reading room” and make a little fire. We throughly enjoyed our stay and Char and Bob helped make our pup’s first vacation stress free.

Just Stunning Views

My wife, myself and our dog stayed here recently. The first and most obvious plus to this property are the views which are beyond brilliant. The room itself is comfortable and well appointed. You have a fridge, heat/AC, electric skillet for breakfast, a bathroom with heated floors and towel racks. The bed is comfortable and the linens good. What takes this over the top is the exterior spaces where you have a heated pavilion to sit and take in the view or what is the cleanest most well maintained hot tub I have ever seen. The hosts are charming and helpful and bake a fanatic cheese bread for arrival. I cannot recommend enough.
