Not What I expected for $1600,

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The condo has been poorly maintained for a $350 a night rental. Light fixture falling down in the master bath, shower nozzle plugged up, scuff marks all over the walls, doors and baseboards, band aids covering electrical outlets. Very poorly cleaned. I took several pictures to document the condition. I would not recommend this condo to anyone in the current state. I will gladly share the pictures I took to document the condition of the unit.

The Inn @ Dauphin Island, 211

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Thought it was great that I received a gate code and door code before arrival. Also the "helpful" info in the text about what to expect on the island, getting groceries prior to coming, etc. The condo (rm 211) was fine, it was clean and had everything we needed. Fabulous view of the beach. Longer walk to the beach than what I'm accustomed to, but no futher than the other places in that area.

But we had to go out and purchase toilet paper because they only provided 1 and a half rolls for our 6-day stay, with 4 people. There was mold visible on the ceilings in some places and in others, you could tell that it had just been painted over. Somewhat understandable I guess because it's right by the beach, but still, they should monitor that and treat it when it shows up...not just paint over. There was this light...thing...and my 4 year old was curious and touched it and it burned her. I have no idea what it was, but it's dangerous to not have at least a warning sign.

Nice place to stay

Beach front, we had room 211. Like the other reviewers said, no curtains in the livingroom, not a big deal, you get full time view of the beach. The room could use a refresh but it was clean and comfortable. No problems with gate or room keypads as another reviewer had said. We only got in the pool once, 3 feet on each end and 6 foot in the middle. I’d guess both pools were the same. The pools were beet and clean, maybe 5 or 5 lounge chairs at each one. We spent the mornings at west beach and the beach at the property and afternoons running around. I would stay here again, it was a nice getaway.

A very large BUT

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Everything about the Inn was great. Location. Beach. Room. Neighborhood. All greatBUTDon't rent #211 unless you are some kind of exhibitionist or you have no interest in using the den/living room at night. There are no curtains or blinds for the glass doors to the patio. It's not that they're missing or whatever. There's literally no hardware on the walls to hold up blinds. There is nothing there.You can't even hang a sheet to block out the world. You can do like we did in the evenings, turned off the lights and stayed in the bedroom.I totally recommend the hotel but not room 211.

Beautiful Getaway

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The Inn unit 211 was a great place to stay on the island. It was clean and the views were spectacular! The pools were not crowded. There was a long walk to the beach but not unbearable. I do recommend wearing shoes on the boardwalk as my son got a blister when walking on it during the day due to the heat. The staff and property manager was nice and pleasant to work with. Easy walk across the street for food or Icecream at Island Rainbow, Pirates Pizza, or Reel Deal BBQ. Will definitely stay here again since the island is less commercialized and crowded like other beach towns.

Perfect in every way

This property checked every single box in what we were looking for for our vacation. It was clean, comfortable, and the view of the gulf was picture perfect from the balcony, living room and main bedroom. It was so quiet and relaxing. All staff on the property we helpful and friendly. Do not hesitate to stay here. We will definitely be returning.

Could be cleaner

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This property is well furnished and equipped for it's purpose, but it was not clean. Yes, the toilet had the wrapper on it stating it was cleaned and that was fine, but there was a layer of dust on a kitchen chair that left prints on it when I set down an item. Around the bed in the master was caked with dust/dirt. I took a chance, as this was written in MANY other reviews...but was saddend to see that those reviews were accurate and had not been addressed by the owner/prop. mngr. We would love to stay here again, but would truly like to see these issues addressed. There are a few requirements such as the dishwasher must be unloaded prior to your departure and you must start a load of linens in the washer. For the cleaning fee that is paid, I find these to be poor requirements placed on the paying guests. If guests wake in the morning, have breakfast, and prepare to leave by the 10am departure requirement, there is a good risk that dishes could be put away unclean due to time constraints. I just see these as pitfalls that are unnecessary for such a lovely property with a lovely view.

Comfortable condo with good beach view, nice art

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We always choose Room 211 at the Inn because it perfectly meets our needs. The pros: good beach view, nice art, well chosen living room , table, and dishes, enough room to put up our food in the cabinets, comfortable seating area on patio, close beach and pool access. Cons: new master bed from recent renovation is not very comfortable, we were not left with any dish soap or laundry detergent, which necessitated late night runs to buy some.
