Have you ever dreamed of being the owner of a campground or wondered what it is like to stay in the owner's building at one? Well here is your chance to live your dream for a visit to this cabin campground. The cabins are closed in the winter, but the main house is still available to rent! Enjoy this lovely home and the entire grounds of the property, with 100s of feet of water frontage. The winter sunset is incredible!

You can access all of the main house and the grounds of the property. If you'd like to check out one of the cabins, I'm happy to try to make that available for you upon request!

I live locally, in Orono, Maine, but your stay will be without interruption. Our house keeping and maintenance staff live nearby as well, should you need anything at all.

You'll need a car to get around the area, there is minimal public transport. A car will help you explore the nearby area!

Myself or other staff members might be around the cabin campground area doing winter maintenance during daytime hours, but we won't bother you and won't be near the main house!

The main house is located in Orland, Maine. Right on the shores of Toddy Pond, you’re also less than 20 minutes from beautiful coastal Maine towns and around 45 minutes to Acadia National Park.

Great Updated Cabin with Rustic Feel

We loved the cabin! It had that wonderful cabin feel but was updated with the modern conveniences and finishes. Kitchen was well equipped and even included some staples. Beds were wonderful and the pillows were perfection! Great family area where we could ask three hang out. The grounds w. The pond was beautiful. The location was great for our daily portions to Acadia. I highly tecumseh finding Mount Desert Pie company and getting the best blueberry pie you'll ever taste.. with every penny. My husband flinched when i told him the price... then he tasted it and ate his words.. This place was truly wonderful and communication was stellar. The only thing i suggest... and it's nothing... would be coasters. I'd hate for your beautiful furniture to be ruined. I used a saucer lol. We had a wonderful time, and made memories. Thank you!

Quick stay in Maine

Location was most important to our party on this trip, it was an hour from Acadia, 30 minutes from Bangor, about 2- 1/2 hours from Mt. Katahdin and the Dark Sky park. The location was cool, I think it used to be the main house for a summer camp, they are currently renovating all of the tiny cabins. The pond/lake that the property sits on is very nice and clean, the included kayaks were fun.The size of the house was as advertised,we did not cook any meals there, but it looked like there was plenty of plates, silverware, pots, pans and such. The outdoor fire pit area was great. It would’ve been nice if the hot water lasted longer or at least kept up with both showers being used at the same time, but we managed. It probably would’ve been a bigger issue with more than 4 people staying in the house. Also, it is worth noting that currently there is no flooring in the upstairs, it looks like carpet was removed some time ago because there are tack strips still in a some areas. It was just plywood subfloor painted grey, so it was very loud downstairs if someone was walking around upstairs, the creaks and thuds from walking were quite amplified. I would definitely recommend this property for the price and location.

Main House at Lakeside- Perfect!

Main House is just as nice as the pictures! The kitchen is well supplied with plenty of dishes, utensils, drink ware and even spices for your cooking needs! The beds and bedding are so comfortable and the area is very quiet at night. The lake was lovely, wish we could’ve stayed longer and used the kayaks! Check in and out was a breeze and the host and property manager answered any questions we had right away. We will definitely return in the future.

Perfect weekend

We camp yearly in Down East Maine, this year we had a wedding to attend and rented this house. From start to finish we thoroughly enjoyed this property . It was clean, well stocked and located close to Acadia. We enjoyed kayaking, the fire pit and the peaceful surroundings. We highly recommend this house and will inquire about one of the water front cabins in the future . 5 plus stars and the host was extremely communicative and responsive. Perfect weekend.

Acadia trip

This was a great location for our trip to Acadia. Not too bad of a drive and away from the craziness in Bar Harbor. The house had plenty of room for our group of 7 adults/teens, and the pond is beautiful. We wished we had better weather to enjoy the kayaks and campfire, but we had a great stay anyway.

Amazing stay

The host, Eddie, is very nice and super helpful with any questions. The house was clean and had lots of fans for those who need white noise at night like me. The firepit was a big hit for my friends and I and the lake is absolutely beautiful.

Great spot on Upper Toddy with quick access to Blue Hill peninsula

A friend and I stayed here for a few nights while working on another property on lower Toddy Pond. The house was clean, the beds were quite comfortable, and the kitchen was well equipped. The heat pump kept the place comfortably cool throughout our stay. The waterfront is nice and we fished a bit from the dock, but mostly just returned to the house in the evenings to relax.

Great Location to Acadia Park and Waterfront

This location was our first VRBO stay for a family vacation. The location is close to Acadia Park and is dog friendly. The waterfront is accessible with a small pier and stairs and the waterway is beautiful with Loons calling at night. The accommodations were perfect for our family with plenty of space and our Samoyed loved the time spent with everyone. This is a great location for families with children to visit. The grocery store Hannaford is approx. 15 mins away and we saved a lot of money with cooking at the rental. There are cabin rentals on the property in very close proximity that will hinder those wanting privacy but we were fortunate to visit early in the season while the cabins were being prepped. Parking is limited but we only had two cars so this wasn’t an issue. Eddie, the host, was very attentive and checked in with us throughout our stay to ensure everything was going well. Check out was easy and we enjoyed our stay.

Nice Memorial Day Weekend

We stayed as a family of 6. The house is excellent. All the bedrooms were spacious and convenient. The bathrooms were very roomy and clean. The whole downstairs gave a wooden cabin feel where you can feel comfortable away from home. There is a lake just behind the house for the beautiful sunsets. Our mornings were spent playing games with kids outside having breakfast on the table in front of the house. We cooked breakfast at the house. The grocery store is very close by. Our days were full of sightseeing, hiking. Its a bit of drive to Acadia National Park but time just flies looking at the scenic beauty. After it got dark we would all get around the fire pit and make smores. For some of us who wanted to stay up very late (like myself) we would just open a wine bottle and sit outside watching stars while kids can catch a movie on netflix. Great time away from home for everyone.

Clean and Convenient to Acadia!

It’s hard to find a roomy place that is low stress to stay with dogs. This place was perfect! Two full baths made it easy to stay with our adult kids who had their own space upstairs. The house was clean and the hosts very responsive. It’s also, very cool to watch the renovations of the cabins in front of the house. The “pond” (the size of a typical lake) is a short 30 seconds walk and it’s a clean and beautiful. If you like to hike there are so many trails within a ten minute drive. The views on Great Pond Mountain are superb. If you are going to Acadia, this is a nice place to come home to at night from the hustle and bustle of that area. Cheaper to stay in this area too! (Just go to a grocery store in Bar Harbor and look at jacked up tourist prices.) Bucksport with Fort Knox is a short 10 minutes away, and I must see as well. I want to thank our hosts for a great stay!
