There are spots to park for park and ride in the area and spots to park and walk a bit, though it is along the road. If you have more than 2 vehicles, let me know so we can discuss your options and whether this listing will work for your group.

ACCESSIBILITY: There are stairs to access the building from the driveway. The home is also three levels so two sets of stairs. There is a bathroom on the main floor though. Maine winters are unpredictable but the driveway is accessed directly off of a plowed state highway. Watch your step around the property and water when icy or wet.

Guest can access the entire property.

Guest interaction is highly encouraged if needed, I'm here to help! I am not always local but there are caretakers in the area for whatever you may need, just ask.

Bucksport is a small town in Downeast Maine. The lakehouse is conveniently located within 15 minutes of shopping centers like Walmart in Brewer and Bangor and less than an hour day trip to Bar Harbor, Mount Desert Island, Maine's Acadia National Park, and the rest of Downeast Maine. About 25 minutes to Bangor International Airport.

You'll want a car to explore any surrounding areas, but you also would have all you need to enjoy a week right at the house. This area of Maine does not have consistent rideshare service. If you need help with coordinating transportation, let me know ahead of time. Parking is limited, please let me know if you have more than 2 or 3 vehicles and I can explain the parking situation further and make sure this is the right spot for your group.

Birthday getaway

We surprised my nephew for his birthday! We had 4 adults and 4 kids and the property was perfect for us. We did a day trip to Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor, but also spent time playing games and looking out at the lake and we also had a fire going one night for s’mores! Would definitely recommend this property

Great Stay in Mud Season!

Wonderful property any time of year. We were here end of March, beginning of April for a college visit to U Maine and to check out Acadia . Property is centrally located between both. Acadia is delightfully quiet and still amazing trails open to explore. Host was able to direct us to fantastic hikes and restaurants that were open in the off season . Comfortable. Beds and comfortable home to return to after adventuring!

Beautiful location, a little further out than we thought it would be. Not many restaurants are still open.

Great Location, Great Host

We loved staying at this location. What was promised in the pictures and description of the property was available in entirety. The house was very well-kept and stocked adequately. The instructions from Eddie were excellent and timely. We were a large group of 11 and had an excellent time enjoying the lake-view and the outdoor space. Check-in and check-out processes were both very smooth. Overall a great property and a great host. I would definitely recommend this as a great place to stay if you were to go to Acadia with it being only about 45 minutes from the park!

Incredible time at the lake house

My friends and I had the best time at the lake house. The place was extremely clean. The house is beautiful and has all the amenities. Kayaking and canoeing on the lake was the best time. Eddie is an incredible host. Would highly recommend this place to anyone. Thank you!

Wonderful home on a lake!

This was a great house. Beautiful views. Everything we needed for a wonderful stay. Plenty of room for the family to spread out. We were there in March so didn’t go boating but it looks like it would be amazing! Easy drive (just under an hour) to Bar Harbor and Acadia.
