When we first arrived the cabin was very hot as the a/c was turned off and it took quite a while to cool off. The cabin appeared as if it hadn't been occupied for a while. But overall, the cabin met all our needs and stayed cool. There was beautiful scenery and it was a quick drive to Bryson City.
I loved this cabin. It’s the right size for 2 adults and 2 small dogs. I had fun fishing off the back deck. The park was clean and no one bothered us. I met the host and he’s a pure gentleman. Very polite and friendly just a good down to earth person. I will return to stay at this cabin again.
The cabin was perfect for just the 2 of us. It is right on the river and we saw fish right of the deck. The cabins are close together but it wasn’t bothersome. It was just a few minutes to the train station and restaurants. The outside, the deck could some TLC. A good power wash would do the trick. We brought a small fan for the bedroom because it just had a single window unit in the living area. It worked fine and cooled the living room and our little fan helped with the bedroom. Was tolerable. Our host was very attentive and friendly. Was definitely worth it.
The train cancelled the ride on the day scheduled for apparent maintenance that they should have done before the ride. The VRBO was supposed to refund us a day for inconvenience and she has never given me a dime back and won't respond to my emails. If this is how Bryson City operates, I will never go there again and I am telling everyone on my social media about it. So very unprofessional but par for the course of tourism towns that get your money and then could care less about the service they give.
