Neat and clean place

I really can't find any fault with the cabin itself, other than maybe that the light switches should be labeled. But neither I nor my kids were too thrilled about the neighborhood. The roads are narrow and steep, the "yards" are tiny, and the houses are practically one atop another. The kids did not have any room to play outside. Fortunately, there are places mare minutes away by car we could take them to. So, I would say that if you are travelling to the area to go skiing or enjoy Boone or Banner Elk, then this place is perfect. But if you want to enjoy a little privacy in the mountains and have outside playing space for the kids, then this is not it.

Wonderful Low Key Christmas

We loved it! We enjoyed it from the moment we drove up. It was so clean and the decor was warm and inviting! It fit our family of 6 perfectly. The intent was pretty much just hole up and enjoy each other's company and that is what we did! We didn't get to go out much due to single digit temps, but we all think it would be amazing to stay again in the summer. I can't thank the owners enough for their detailed information on making the most of the cabin. We definitely made it our own and felt completely at home! Anyone looking for a cozy mountain getaway...this is the place for you!

Thanksgiving in the mountains

The cabin in Banner Elk was cozy and warm even though it was COLD outside…..in the 20’s at night! The beds were very comfortable. There are 2 flights of steps up to the cabin. They definitely give you a workout. The community of Mill Ridge is close to many things to do in the mountains.

Cozy, inviting!

My family and I loved this cozy little treehouse! My son, who is a senior in high school, is applying to Appalachian State, and we already know we want to rent this frequently if he ends up going there! It was clean and inviting! The kitchen is gorgeous and the bathroom is so cute, with the stickers from the surrounding areas on the walls. The heaters work great and kept us very comfortable! Thanks for a great weekend!

High up in the trees!

Cozy cabin situation between two huge boulders on the mountainside. Loved the deck are for quiet time in the mornings. The cabin has everything you need for a get away. Mill Ridge is a great resort with so many things to do: swimming. Hiking and tennis. I just enjoy walking up the mountain to see all the different styles of cabins and beautiful landscapes!

Everything we hoped for an then some!

My wife and dog rented here for a quick weekend get away in the mountains. We had plenty of communication prior to our arrival and had the property owners cell in case we needed anything the entire stay. Fortunately we didn’t and our stay was spectacular! Highly recommend and hope to be back for future rentals!

A great place to stay in the heart of one of NC's favorite tourist areas.

A lovely cabin in a quiet community only 9-15 miles from all the seasonal activities, from whitewater to skiing. The Blue Ridge and other less physical activities are also nearby. The owner is fantastic, easily reached if needed and will make sure your vacation is worry free. We are here in winter and have enjoyed a peaceful, pleasant time with just enough to do, even with many places closed for the season.

Fun mountain getaway

We had a wonderful time at two rock treehouse. The house was very clean, beautiful and comfortable. It was nice that a pack and play and booster seat were provided! The owner was quick to respond to any questions that I had and even went out of her way to recommend local things to do. We will be back!

Missing the mountains already

We really enjoyed our time at the Two Rock Treehouse! It was a perfect size for our family of 4. The kids enjoyed the pool and river in the community. There's lots of places to walk. We grilled, we chilled, and had a great time. Alexandra is great to answer any questions you have before and during your stay.

Nice Mountain Escape

This was a great cabin to spend our vacation in. Despite not being huge, it was still accommodating for our family. There were plenty of amenities in the cabin, including kitchenware, bed linens, and things for the bathroom. Our stay was very relaxing since there wasn't a lot of traffic nearby, but it was still located near enough to area attractions that we didn't have to drive forever to do things. The only problems we had were that there wasn't an air conditioner for the cabin, no window unit or anything. There were ceiling fans in all the rooms, but the fan in the main bedroom didn't appear to work. There was a fenced in backyard, but no lighting to be able to use it at night, except perhaps tiki torches. Keeping these things in mind we would still stay there again and perhaps prepare for these issues ourselves.

Our family really enjoyed our recent stay at Two Rock!

Alexandria was so easy to work with and incredibly pleasant. Booking our stay was quick and easy. The house was adorable. Decorated well to give it a cool mountain vibe, and centrally located to so many cool spots we were able to visit during our stay. Even more awesome, we were able to bring our pet lab for a minimal fee. Would highly recommend.

Wonderful mountain cabin!!

Cute mountain cabin very tastefully decorated in all things rustic!!! Absolutely everything you could need is already there!! It was just my husband and myself so we had plenty of room. Very quiet with a beautiful woodsy view!! Only thing I would have like was a window unit air conditioner as the nights were a little muggy, but with the windows open and the ceiling fan we made it Also, if you’ve got knee or other orthopaedic issue, you may have issues with navigating the front steps in. Overall, wonderful cabin and convenient to everything mountain! Don’t forget to do the utv tour and see Linville Caverns.

Cozy! Clean! Everything as advertised.

We were in the area for App State graduation ceremonies so we didn't get a chance to enjoy the nature trails and such, but the cabin was cozy and relaxing to return to at the end of a gruelling day (2 commencements and a Master's hooding)! I would like to return again for a more relaxing ge getaway!
