Hello, this home IS pet freindly. Should you be bringing a pet please let management know and the small fee of $50 per pet will be applied / requested. We do not accept cats.

**Lake Arrowhead is a private lake and short-term renters are not permitted access to the Lake, Lake trails, Peninsula Park, and Grass Valley Park as of September 28th, 2020. Available lakes for swimming, fishing, and walking trails are Lake Gregory in Crestline, Lake Silverwood, and Big Bear Lake in Big Bear. Lake availability will vary by season. The Dogwood Cabins is open 7 days a week from 8 am to 7 pm. You may call or text. If there is an emergency please call the number provided and we will respond immediately. This is a full time neighborhood and we ask that the quiet hours are followed. Please note that access to this home does require a 4WD vehicle during the winter season. The neighborhood roads are not always completely plowed when a storm is occurring, so it is very important to drive cautiously and to be prepared. For nights "out on the town", the mountain does offer "Uber" like services if needed however they are limited. The best option for this would be the RIDE service; be sure to call ahead. Even though most shopping/entertainment/dining is relatively close by, it is all located off of one of our main highways so you will need to drive. Lake Arrowhead Village is 4.5 miles away or about a 12 minute Drive. Blue Jay Village is 3.1 miles away or about a 12 minute Drive. SkyPark at Santa's Village is 5.9 miles away or about a 14 minute drive. Snow Valley Ski Resort is 17 miles away or about a 32 minute drive. All of these times are approximate and without traffic or weather delays. Parking is dedicated to the driveway for 3-4 vehicles. PER COUNTY CODE THERE IS NO STREET PARKING PERMITTED. We highly recommend carrying chains/cables with tensioners during the winter. CalTrans will have chain checkpoints and require you to show them or in some cases put them on to be allowed up the mountain. **Lake Arrowhead is a private lake and short-term renters are not permitted access to the Lake, Lake trails, Peninsula Park, and Grass Valley Park as of September 28th, 2020. CA Penal Code 365.7 Punishment may be up to a maximum penalty of $1,000 per instance and up to 6 months in jail. Please note that service animals are defined by the ADA as: Dogs that are individually trained to do worker perform tasks for people with disabilities. Service animals are working animals, not pets. The work or task a dog has been trained to provide must be directly related to the person's disability. Dogs whose sole function is to provide comfort or emotional support do NOT qualify as service animals. under the ADA. Any attempt to present a comfort or emotional support service animal or pet as a service dog is fraud. When the home is not rented and occupied, the home is owner occupied, including with a family member who has severe pet dander allergies. Additionally, homeowner’s insurance is inordinately high for vacation rentals, and limited, particularly in this region, a fire zone. Regardless, the law requires any request for a reasonable accommodation to be made in advance, so if you feel your circumstances reflect an exception, you must contact us to discuss before renting so we can assess on a case by case basis. Your animal will be required to leave if you do not proceed accordingly and demonstrate the need for a reasonable accommodation exists. Our agency has homes that permit dogs and we can give you resources and leads for other rentals able to accommodate you. Please be mindful Airbnb must abide by the Fair Employment and Housing Act (FEHA) regarding what qualifies as a “reasonable accommodation” and one must consider some individuals need accommodations regarding service dogs and emotional support animals, while others, also protected under the FEHA. In other words, you should not interpret any Airbnb language allowing service animals and ESA dogs as automatic approval to access to all homes. Again, you must discuss your request for accommodation in advance.
Level entry to the home into the living room with gas fireplace, dining, kitchen, and access to the large deck. The pool table is also on this level to have a game or 2. A great place with a minor glitch (on a tough weekend)

The place was wonderful--nice and clean, lots of fun and interesting touches that added to our family trip. We had one glitch: no problem finding the place or getting access to the key, but actually opening the front door with the key turned out to be really difficult. Basically the front door lock/handle does not work very well. The timing for our trip turned out to be tough as our Saturday night was interrupted at 10 PM by texts with an Evacuation Warning from San Bernardino County due to the Line Fire. Internet research and our family in the area reassured us that while preparing for a possible evacuation was appropriate, confirming our route home was clear of the fire area and heading to bed was all we really needed to do. I trust the property remains safe. The locals seemed somewhat used to it all.
