I had a great experience when communicating with the owner and property manager. The check-in was phenomenal! The home was extremely clean. I look forward to visiting again.
After looking at many properties in the area, we decided this place would be perfect and it was! Cozy and comfortable.
everything!everything we wanted to
Overall, our family (and dogs) had a great stay at this property in Brunswick, GA. It was our first time staying in Brunswick and we really enjoyed exploring the historic neighborhood and downtown area. The property was clean and cozy and met all of our needs. The one negative was that the property had a bit of a musty smell. That being said, it was clean, functional for cooking, and very relaxing after days at the beach. We will definitely consider stay here again or the adjoining property in the future.
This was the perfect get away spot for us. It is a converted Garage part of a lovely historical home. You do need to be careful upstairs it is a v shaped ceiling. Great for me being a short gal. Very tidy, a lovely welcome card and a gift. Just had an issue trying to figure out the tv thing, but probably human error. Great location, very receptive manager. Will come again.
My family enjoyed our time in Brunswick. Great location for walking and checking out downtown Brunswick. We slept very well and made simple meals in the little kitchen.
Right in the Historic district! We had such a great time walking around the area. Great location! The privacy of the cottage was perfect. It's centrally located to everywhere we wanted to go. We stayed for 4 nights and had an amazing time. We really enjoyed the patio and lounging on the huge sofa! The cottage has its quirks, but we didn't mind at all. We were there to relax and have fun and mission accomplished !
We went for Jekyll Islands Shrimp & Grits Festival. The cottage was just as descripted. Within walking distance of downtown Brunswick. The neighborhood was very quiet and there was plenty of yard for our dogs.
The Cottage was the perfect place to stay for a quick weekend trip. It was clean, well stocked, quiet, and close to everything. I love that I was allowed to bring my dog - he enjoyed hanging on the patio while I worked.
Cute cottage, perfect location for us as we had early medical appointments in Brunswick and it was easy to get to either ST simons or Jekyll Island to meet friends for dinner.
This guest house is just as pictured. There is a king bed and day bed upstairs (looked like it would fit one adult or two small kids). The king bed is comfortable and my middle school daughters said the sofa was comfortable too. This property is near the Baptist church and a couple blocks from restaurants and shops. We loved walking to breakfast at Daddy Cates (delicious) which was recommended to us by a friend who lives on Jekyll Island. The neighborhood is quiet and safe. We were out a lot walking our dog at all hours and never felt unsafe. This is a very close drive to Jekyll Island which is why we visited. The Holly Jolly Jekyll light show, fireworks, Driftwood Beach, and festive "cottages" did not disappoint. We contacted the property manager a few days before for the code and she responded right away. Stacie was awesome! If you don't mind the leaning ceilings on the second floor (which fondly reminded me of my grandmother's house), you will enjoy this house.
Nice place to stay for a night or two to check out the shops and restaurants in Brunswick. We also took the Lady Jane Shrimp boat tour. Loved the trip and the restaurant located in the front of the boat, the Marshside grille.
This was a lovely little place! It was clean, comfortable, and had all the amenities of home, including a washer/dryer and little dishwasher. It was within walking distance of some great restaurants, including coffee shops and the brewery, and easy driving distance of the islands. All of my communication was answered promptly. Parking was close and plentiful. I would definitely stay here again if I was in the area.
We’ve vacationed in St Simons many times, but this was our first time staying in Brunswick instead of on the island and we weren’t sure what to expect. We ended up loving this cute cottage and were absolutely enchanted with downtown Brunswick and the historic district! The cottage had plenty of space for our family of four. It was beautifully decorated and had everything we needed to be comfortable. It was very clean. The courtyard was beautiful, especially at night when the lights were on. The neighborhood was very safe and walkable. Do yourself a favor and walk or drive through the entire historic district- it’s absolutely lovely. The downtown area had many shops and several places to eat, all walkable from the cottage. The only hitch we had is that we didn’t receive our check in code before we arrived. However, I was able to quickly and easily reach the property manager by cell so no harm done. All in all, we are glad we stayed here, and hope to return soon!
Nice but not worth the money and was upset at having to pay extra insurance. Upstairs loft where bed is has multiple cross beams and you have to be careful to not smack your head. Not good for someone over 5ft tall. Bathroom downstairs so be careful you do not smack your head if you have to go down at night. Couch in living room is very broken down and lumpy, not comfortable at all. If you have a vehicle, you have to share drive way with main house which was completely full of vehicles (thankfully we came by boat). Location is excellent and walking distance to EVERYTHING in Brunswick. Nice but too expensive!!!
Lovely stay over on our way home from the mountains to FL. Easy check in/check out. Beautifully decorated and all the comforts of home. Very comfy king bed upstairs and large comfy couch downstairs. Well stocked mini kitchen. Historic neighborhood with mighty old live oaks one of our favorites. Lots to see along the Golden Isles. So glad we found the Elegant Southern Cottage!

Nice Cottage in Historic Brunswick
The property was nice and laid out as expected. There were pros and cons to the stay however. The key code was never sent to me prior to check in. I called the property manager and was greeted with an immediate voicemail. I left a message thinking I would get a quick call back. After 30 minutes of sitting outside the property I contacted the owner and was given the key code to enter the cottage. I didn’t get a call back from the property manager for over 2 hours. Upon entering the property I was greeted with a half smoked cigarette and a lighter on the entry table. Those were the cons. The property is situated on a great street in historic Brunswick. It is about 10 minutes to the entry of Jekyll island. The cottage was stocked with towels and could easily sleep 6. Overall we had a great stay.
This is a wonderful place for a couple with pets. The neighborhood is historical and eclectic. The furnishings are exactly what is needed and the kitchen is easy to use and clean. A very nice little dishwasher makes cooking clean up very easy. Laundry machines are very nice for an extended stay. Owners and property manager are attentive and friendly. Overall a great place to stay in Brunswick and convenient to out islands.
I stayed in the cottage while in Brunswick for work. At the time of my stay, no one was renting the main house so I was able to park in the driveway and come and go as needed for my early to late work hours. My job required my coworker and I to have a large outside space to work in and the lovely courtyard served this purpose perfectly. The cottage was so cute and clean! Walking distance to the main downtown Brunswick strip and delicious restaurants. I was staying alone (female) and despite the large, curtain/blind-less windows surrounding the living room, still felt safe during my stay. Highly recommend this location!
