Welcome to our North Shore cabin near Lake Superior! This has been a family project for a couple of years and we're now making it available to guests. It's built with logs so it's very cozy, heavy and quiet inside but still has all modern amenities. It's tucked into acreage near Lake Superior and while it is not directly on the shore, it is close. Also, it's just a few minutes to Two Harbors and 15 or so to Duluth.
IMPORTANT NOTE: To keep rates manageable, the rate here is for the house with just the King bedroom. If you want one or both of the other queen bedrooms (each $50/night), just message us once you're booked and we can easily add them.

Cabin was new, clean, and well-furnished. Bedrooms were comfortable and attractive. Kitchen and bathrooms had what we needed. Multiple gathering spaces on three levels—good for groups. Deck was lovely for bor stargazing
Cabin was very clean and everything we expected. Great location. The host was wonderful to work with! I had an issue with the app and Chad was very helpful! I would book again!
This was a great location for exploring the shore. There was easy access to both Duluth and the North Shore parks. It provided plenty of space for the 6 of us. We were able to gather together for family time and spread out when we wanted to get our homework done (2 college students and a teacher in the group). Be aware that it is on a well, so depending on what you are use to, you might want to bring bottled drinking water.
We had the most amazing stay at this cozy VRBO cabin nestled in the heart of Minnesota's Winter Wonderland! From the moment we arrived, we were enchanted by the snow-covered trees, peaceful silence, and the crisp winter air. The cabin itself was the perfect blend of rustic charm and modern amenities, with a cozy fireplace that made it feel like a home away from home. The space was incredibly clean and thoughtfully designed, with many details considered to ensure a comfortable stay. We loved the spacious kitchen and family room with large windows, which allowed us to gaze out at the beautiful winter landscape while sipping our morning coffee. Our days were filled with outdoor exploration and wildlife photography, which was our main focus—we spotted 10 Great Gray Owls and even a Boreal! An epic trip for a birding enthusiast. The hosts were fantastic, providing great communication throughout our stay and even giving us recommendations for favorite local spots to explore. Whether you're looking for a romantic getaway, a family retreat, or simply a chance to unplug and enjoy nature, this VRBO is the perfect winter hideaway. We can't wait to return!Thank you for your wonderful hospitality, Tony and Emily
Chad was responsive, friendly and very helpful. This is a family owned property and they were awesome all around. The property itself is set in beautiful northwoods acreage near Lake Superior (teensy bit of lake view and beautiful woodland views) with easy access to the North Shore and Duluth.
It was squeaky clean, very warm, inviting and well stocked. Really, just perfect.
We went to go on our sxs’s, which the planned ride was cancelled. We decided to go anyway and sightsee some of the Northshore since we live on the Iron Range and don’t get to the Northshore that often. The cabin very clean, beds were very comfortable and we were able to use the newly built fire pit! You’ll want to bring your own chairs to sit around the fire pit (which we brought)! We can see there’s some very minor things missing from the kitchen (hot pad holders, cutting board) but other than that it was a beautifully wonderful place and I would recommend it to anyone looking to stay and visit the Northshore! We drove up to Lutsen (only about an hour) and did the Gondola ride and the alpine slide, of course you have to hit Betty’s pies. Thank you for sharing your beautiful Cabin!
The cabin is in a wooded private location and very clean on arrival , check in process easy. We enjoyed quiet walks on the country road and Lake Superior is stunning around Two Harbors. Some items that would have been appreciated would be a comfortable sitting area on the upper level beside the dining table so you can look out at the woods along with some comfortable chairs on the deck. We used the picnic table but some rockers or Adirondack chairs would be amazing for older adults. A firepit on the property would have been a nice feature as well. Some throw rugs in the lower level bathroom and bedroom so you don’t get cold feet on the concrete floors. I believe the cabin is still a work in progress and perhaps these things are going to be added. The kitchen is beautiful with new appliances and dishes. Over-all the property has great potential and we enjoyed the privacy and slept well in comfortable clean beds.
My husband and I along with our dogs decided to get out of town for a short spring trip up north before the season went into full swing. We found this new construction cabin in the woods that looked perfect for what we needed. Just needed to verify with the owners that it was ok to bring two dogs around 30 pounds each. We were told we were one of the first guests outside family and some details still needed to be done to complete the finished product to the owners satisfaction. That didn’t bother us. It just meant that the grounds are newly disturbed and will eventually grow back and be less muddy and that the cabin is still acquiring additional homey features. We noted the floors were cold and the owner informed us there is a heated floor option but we didn’t know until after our stay and thought bringing slippers was a good idea. The owner was very responsive to questions. At the time of our visit I would recommend bringing extra blankets if you like to snuggle on the couch watching tv or the fireplace. Bring your favorite things for the shower. There were towels and hand soap. There is a large grocery store in town to get anything you might have missed bringing. The kitchen has new appliances and sharp knives where we enjoyed prepping our own meals. On our nicest day we all enjoyed lounging on the deck in the sun. There is a nice picnic table and gas grill ready to go. Very convenient location to visit the falls at the local state parks like Gooseberry Falls.
