Neighboring towns like Meredith and Laconia are within quick driving distance, offering a variety of local eateries and shops. Up the road a bit further, Gunstock Mountain and Campton Mountain Ski Area offer thrilling skiing opportunities.

Lined by warm wood finishes, the interior of Hermit Lake Retreat blends the perfect mix of rustic charm and homey convenience. The kitchen is well-equipped for all of your cozy home cooking sessions, whereas the living room's plush seating and smart TV lend themselves to movie nights. The adults of the group will appreciate the separate bar space off the living room.

The main, upper level of the home, displays the three bedrooms and an additional seating area. One of the bedrooms even has a remote workstation. Partial air-conditioning, a board game collection, internet access, and an automatic backup generator tie together the interior amenities.

As the sunset's orange, pink, and yellow hues begin to set over the water, head for the deck where amazing stargazing opportunities are best accompanied by gooey s'mores.

Stay was ok

I have used Vrbo many times and always check the comments. Never left one before, but I have also not had a bad experience like this either. The location of the property and the check in check out process was pretty easy. There were a couple things I told management right away there were broken items and missing pieces to things. In the photos you can see a wood stove and a fireplace. The wood stove is obviously not hooked up but the fireplace was not allowed to be used either, although there was 2 pieces of wood left. The slider door did not open as well. I’m not sure why it would be locked. The other thing I noticed right away was there was no pantry items. Just pepper. So if your going to be cooking a lot make sure you bring spices and oils ect. Another thing is it says no pets allowed. But has dog/cat doors and pet bowls as well. So if you are allergic to dogs or cats I would reconsider. I gave the cleanliness a low score because there was a ton of dust on the walls and cob webs along with garbage under the couches you could see when you put up the recliners. If you go in the winter the heat control is on the bottom floor. So if the heat is turned up to warm up the bottom floor it becomes stifling hot upstairs. The shower head squeaks so we had to take quick showers. And the bathroom sink kept making a god awful sound in the middle of the night which we told management about that as well. Personally I would not stay somewhere with a management company instead of a host.

Lake house exceeded our expectations!

House is wonderful and was perfect for our group of five which consisted of my husband and I, our daughter and grandchildren. There was plenty of room for all of us! The bedrooms are air conditioned which is great for the summer months. The main living room featured four comfortable lazy boy chairs and beautiful views of the lake. The deck was spacious featuring a gas fireplace which we enjoyed in the evenings. The deck was perfect for sitting and watching the loons. The house had plenty of towels including towels to be used for the lovely beach which is a two minute drive from the house. I took one star off because the TV didn’t work for our entire stay which was six days. After several conversations with the VACASA management team and being told someone would come out to rectify the issue, no one ever came out to the house. Therefore, it did not get resolved. This was more a reflection of not being able to speak directly to the owner who would be most knowledgeable about connecting the TV to the internet instead of having to go through a management company. Overall we were very happy with our stay and would definitely return!

Beautiful Views

The house, location and views were wonderful. Home was clean and comfortable. Only issue was air conditioning, only units are in bedrooms on upper floor. No air on main living area. Temps were mid 90's and we had to keep one bedroom air unit off because the power would go off on the kitchen if we used all 4 units. Just check to see of owner resolved before going. Other then that it was a beautiful place!

Perfection on Lake Hermit!

This rental was perfect! Lovely views of the lake from the deck and back bedrooms. Plenty of space for our group to hangout and relax. Beds were comfortable and plenty of pillows and towels were available. I would rent this property again!

A Blissful Escape: A Blissful Escape: Long Weekend in the Hermit Lake House

The lake house offers comfort and coziness for relaxation. It is equipped with everything necessary for a comfortable stay. spacious living room with new comfortable furniture where you can relax and enjoy the beautiful view of the lake through the large windows. The kitchen has everything you need, so you can prepare your favorite dishes. The bedrooms are provided with very comfortable mattresses (I can say this because I have had back problems for almost 40 years) and very clean and soft bed linen, we were able to sleep well after a day of active recreation on the lake. Towels in the bathroom are available in sufficient quantities and are absolutely snow-white. The house also has a spacious balcony where we enjoyed the fresh air and beautiful views. The balcony has a gas fire pit so you can enjoy evening gatherings outdoors. Overall, the lake house offers a comfortable and relaxing space where you can enjoy nature and spend quality time with loved ones. I would like to add : the guest service instantly responds to calls or messages
