Christmas visit

What a beautiful historic home. Well cared for, nicely decorated and comfortable. We stayed during Christmas and Pat was kind enough to decorate for the holiday. Only a two block walk to downtown Olde Arvada, great restaurants, shops and amazing bakery.

Historical stay in Olde Town Arvada

The house is historic, clean and immediately accessible on foot to the original township of Arvada. Even with steady snow in April, I was able to walk a few blocks to meet up with cousins for a meal. I loved the bed and slept like a baby. Full kitchen and great yard set up for hanging out and grilling in finer weather. One side of the house is adjacent to a parking lot, but given the size of the house, this was easily blocked by blinds while still enjoying the rest of the property.Since I had a family connection to the immediate area going back over a century, Pat and her husband really went above and beyond their normal role as VRBO hosts. Yes, Pat was responsive and friendly, but beyond that, I'm grateful for her real skills as an informal ambassador for the old town of Arvada. As a frequent traveller, this property was easily like a home away from home. Highly recommended!

Loved it!

What a great location and thoughtful host! I had let our host know we were coming to babysit our grandkids. She had all sorts of thoughtful little touches for our kids; including personalized notes. And it is so very close to Olde Town Arvada which made for great morning walks for coffee… and evening walks for ice cream. Did I mention the lovely breeze on the front porch. Great, great, great rental!

Host profile image
I am a married, 75 year old ACTIVE mother of two adult sons, six adult grandchildren and seven great grandchildren! I love to swim, bike, explore outdoors with my great grandkids and dog Marley. I’m also active in my church and community.
I grew up as a military dependent and was privileged to attend high school in Madrid, Spain in the mid-60s. I love meeting people and providing a unique stay through our historic VRBO home.

As a host I enjoy tailoring each stay to the unique needs of my guests. Bringing kids? Let us know ages or special items that will be helpful so we can provide a safe and fun stay for them as well. We love dogs! Arvada is a very dog friendly community so we consider them guests as well. Are you a cyclist or coming for a special event? We love to be a resource for your stay.
