Guest Access:
Guests can access the entire cabin as well as our playground and communal spaces on the resort property. There is a new community firepit and cornhole game located in front of the Grand Lodge.
The Lobby, located at the front of the property by Fall River Road, offers a paid guest laundry room, pamphlets for local attractions, and a coffee bar. You can access the door with your cabin code.

The Neighborhood:
Fall River Road has access to Rocky Mountain National Park's north entrance and is lined on each side of the street with cabins and resorts. Even so, this area is in the remote Rocky Mountains and feels very secluded. We often have wild animals such as deer and elk on our property.

Getting Around:
The easiest way to get around is by car. You do not need four wheel drive to access the property. There is free parking near the cabin. We are only minutes from one of the entrances to Rocky Mountain National Park.
The roads in Amberwood are paved and may be slick when it is icy or snowy. We do our best to keep them clear for you!

Other Things to Note:
We are in the wilderness of Colorado. There are bears, elk, deer, sheep and numerous other wild animals that also call the mountains home. Respect their space and do not keep any trash or food outside unattended. We have an animal proof dumpster on our property for any trash.
Do not feed the wildlife! It is illegal to feed any wildlife in Colorado and you could get a fine. This includes deer, elk, birds, bears and rodents! Thank you!

DO NOT LEAVE PETS UNATTENDED IN THE CABIN!!!!

Rocky Mountain Getaway

When we arrived we could not get in to our room because it had been locked with the key so our code did not help. I reached out by e-mail and someone called me back and helped with the code to get the key. We were then able to open the door. I must say the steps up to the second floor were very dangerous for someone who has neuropathy in there legs and feet and uses a cain. Had I known about the stairs at the time of booking I would not have made the booking. Not having a hand rail made it more dangerous and would have been most helpful. How do the steps pass inspection? Also the night before checkout we had no hot water and there was also no hot water. Other than these issues we loved the property especially the location.

A beautiful cabin at a scenic location

Jill’s Cabin is a gorgeous place and perfect for a couple. It has been tastefully decorated and gives you a feeling of being right in between the woods and mountains. We loved our stay with our pet at Jill’s. Everything you would need for a comfortable stay was taken care of. We had some network issues when we tried to check in as the door lock was jammed and wouldn’t open with the code but Jill was very patient and tried her best for us to get the key out of a lockbox. Apart from those few mins of hustling for the keys, our entire stay was perfect and would definitely go back again soon.

Spacious yet Cozy

We stayed in the newly refurbished cabin #20 above the yet to be refurbished office. We had a private parking spot, and a huge wrap around balcony porch (wraps halfway around the building) just for us. The inside was so spacious with tons of storage/closet space, modern kitchen (it could use a few more pots/pans/baking pans), huge laundry room stocked with laundry pods and dryer sheets to use in the full size stacked washer/dryer, comfy king sized bed, and modern bathroom with hotel-like soaps. The very long entertainment center (I think homemade) was a perfect counter to keep all of our backpack/hiking stuff in order and ready to go each day. Just steps away from RMNP entrance, and a short drive away from everything in Estes, it is a prime location. We would definitely stay here again!

Great Place

Nice cabin with all the amenities. Comfortable furniture. Huge TVs. Nice kitchen. Comfortable bed. There was construction in process below us which was sometimes distracting. Mentioned it to the manager and it got much better.
