Very nice experience!

The owner of this property, Ms. White, is an excellent owner/manager. She was pleasant, helpful, prompt with messages, and helped make our stay really nice. The housekeeper gave us a spotless house to begin our vacation and she was very pleasant. The view from the back decks is marvelous: Assawoman Bay with grass islands and birds and the perfect sunsets. The beach out front is a moderately short hike. There were a number of surf-fishing-licensed trucks on the beach (which was fun to watch as they caught some sharks and a sting ray) but no other beach goers, to our joy and amazement. We recommend this house and owner.

Beautiful home with an outstanding view

Due to covid-19, we wanted to book a property that was out of the way, and had more privacy than years past. Normally we would've stayed on the coast side of the OC area, but we intentionally booked on the bay side in a townhome that would provide us our own accommodations. The property is nestled in a small group of town homes. It is located in a beautiful setting that is well landscaped. The driveway is easy to pass by if you're not looking out for it carefully. The exterior of the home was neat, and it had more than enough parking space for my family, and my sister's family. The home on the interior is just as described. It has lots of beautiful interior decor with comfortable furnishings. The cooking, and dining supplies were adequate, since we would be cooking in mostly. We found the kitchen to be pristine, and in excellent condition. The rooms were adequate in size. We were able to fit 9 people easily into the home, and the bedding was sufficient for each of us. The only thing that could be a major improvement in the bedrooms would be some light blocking curtains. Access to the beach was a short walk across the street to a hidden path that crosses over the dunes. It is not advised to take a lot of cumbersome items if you plan to walk. There are access points where a all wheel drive vehicle would do great. Overall, the home upon entry was extremely inviting, and very clean. We were pleased with the presentation of the home, and would definitely recommend it to friends and family. We appreciate the kindness of the owner in opening their home to us, and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Great location

The location of this townhouse was wonderful. Being able to walk to the state beach made the vacation very relaxing and the beach was almost empty during the week! Views from the house were also amazing. Highly recommend.

Large, beautiful townhouse with breathtaking views of the bay and access to uncrowded, quiet beach

The house was SPOTLESSLY clean and very tastefully decorated in a casual, elegant style. It must have been recently renovated. The main floor is a huge open plan with plenty of comfortable seating and a large dining area. Very up to date fixtures and finishes and no clutter. We could not have been happier with the furnishings! The kitchen was well stocked, had high end appliances, and included most cooking and cleaning basics. All the beach necessities like chairs, umbrella, bikes, a kayak and kids toys are provided. The beds were very comfortable and the top floor master suite is huge. We felt spoiled! The deck with gas grill on the main level was perfect for dinner at sunset. The deck on the lower bedroom level was shady and so lovely during the day - we used it for yoga practice. We had never rented on the bay side and were so glad we did! The view was just beautiful throughout the day beginning with birdwatching in the morning (binoculars provided) and ending with a stunning sunset each evening. There is a path just across the street from the entrance to access the beach. It is a little bit of a walk across the dunes, but well worth it to enjoy this quiet stretch of beach. Mostly fishermen and a few other residents from the very small cluster of town homes during the weekdays. We loved this home and definitely recommend it. The owner was responsive and worked with us when we needed to change our rental dates.

Fantastic rental

This was a fantastic place to stay. The townhouse was beautiful, clean and spacious. There were plenty of common supplies that were included like dish towels, soap, spices, etc. that have not been in other rentals that we used in the past. Bikes, umbrella, cooler, beach toys, etc. were also provided in the closet downstairs. The outdoor shower and hose were helpful as well. The view was fantastic over the bay and the walk to the beach was not difficult at all, even with 5 young children. We have used many VRBO's and would recommend this rental to anyone headed to the Fenwick/Bethany area.

Fantastic experience, great location

We had a wonderful stay at this property. I was a little worried going in for 2 reasons- first, because there were no reviews on this site, and second because the pictures make the common area look a little small. I'm happy to say there was no reason for worry. The pictures do not do justice to the common area- it's big and light and spacious. The kitchen is large and well furnished. The whole place gets a lot of light (except possibly the front downstairs bedroom, and that was fine with us in the mornings!) The upstairs master bedroom is gorgeous. A note about that extra side room- it's lovely, but it is open to the downstairs and you need to walk through it to get to the bedroom, so it would be hard to use as an extra room for a young child as we had considered doing. (but the closet up there was so big, it was fine for a small baby! with the door left open a crack of course, nice and dark.) Plenty of pillows all around The other concern I had was that I did not realize it is actually on the bay side of the highway. Crossing the street turned out not to be a problem at all- we rarely had to wait long before a good break between cars. The walk across the dune to the actual beach was more of an issue, but even that got easier after we perfected our technique. (used a beach cart, carried toddlers on shoulders, left the big wheeled stroller at home.) The porches were fantastic- especially at night we loved going out there and smelling the ocean air. And the location was great for access to the beach right across the street, the Fenwicke Island State Park a half mile away (with concessions and bathrooms), Bethany and Rehobeth to the North and Ocean City to the south- all of which we visited during our stay. The covered parking for two cars (with one in front of the other) was very convenient when we were packing to leave in the rain. The rest of the time, it was great to have the extra spot outside so 2 different cars could come and go without having to coordinate. Finally, the layout with the master bedroom on the 3rd floor and other bedrooms on the ground floor (with main floor in between) worked especially well for us to separate two families so that noise from young kids didn't disturb the other family. (we were two couples, one with twin toddlers, one with a newborn. technically it was one bedroom more than we needed, but that turned out to be useful for separating a snoring spouse. :)) All in all, I would definitely recommend this property. Enjoy!
