Welcome to Kai Tana, a cozy 2-bedroom beachfront cottage in sunny Rum Point.
Surrounded by mature palms and casuarina trees, Kai Tana offers a serene escape on a wide sandy beach with cozy accommodations for couples, honeymooners, or small families.
The beach here is very sandy plus the reef-protected waters make for excellent snorkeling just off the backyard. Although barefoot water entry is tempting, water shoes are recommended to protect against foot injuries. Sunset walks along the shoreline in either direction are a must!
Inside, the oceanfront living area provides all the comforts of home including tall windows that flood the interiors with natural light and stunning far-from-home ocean views. Air conditioning, complimentary wifi, and an HD cable television will keep you cool and connected during your stay.
The home's kitchen is equipped with modern appliances including a drip coffee maker, toaster, and microwave. All cookware, dinnerware, glassware, and flatware are provided. The home features a formal dining table in the living area and a patio dining table for alfresco dinners under the stars. A charcoal grill is also provided for surf and turf cookouts by the sea.
The beachside patio is your slice of paradise to soak up the sun and spellbinding views. A palm-shaded hammock sits on the beach beckoning daydreamers for lazy days by the ocean.
The home is licensed by the Department of Tourism to sleep 4 guests across two bedrooms.

***Getting Around***
A rental car is highly recommended. Taxi cabs are unreliable and expensive outside of town and Seven Mile Beach. Plus, there is no Uber or Lyft on the island. We recommend Budget Cayman, Avis, or Marshalls for rental cars. After booking, confirmed guests will receive a promo code for 20% off a rental car with Budget Cayman.
***Villa Cleaning & Sanitation***
All villas are cleaned and sanitized before each guest's arrival. We also ask our owners to provide a starter supply of extra cleaning products. Additional housekeeping services can be purchased after booking in 3-hour time blocks. Scheduling may be coordinated with your property manager upon arrival.
***Beach Notes***
All beaches in Grand Cayman are technically public since the Crown owns up to the high watermark. Be advised, the beach or water entry behind your property may vary slightly from the images displayed due to shifting weather and tide patterns. The next-door beach is also always available for your use. We advise guests to wear foot protection (pool socks or aqua shoes) when entering the ocean to avoid injury on coral heads, ironshore, or rocks.
***Ocean Debris & Sargassum Seaweed***
Beaches in Grand Cayman may also experience floating ocean debris and sargassum weed seasonally. Sargassum is a seaweed that has increased in frequency over the summer months. Our owners take measures to remove heavy sargassum and will have the beach raked before your arrival.
Should sargassum be extremely heavy behind your property, we will reach out to the owner for alternative solutions which may include a partial refund or relocation. We try our best to work around Mother Nature.
