January 17 thru March 15th - Villa Blue Maho
We had the opportunity to stay at Villa Blue Maho from January 17th thru to March 15th, 2025. Alicia was an incredible host responding within minutes of any request or queries. Nyoka the house manager was a delight and ensured our stay was magical. The house has undergone numerous renovations to modernize it. The views are incredible from each deck and at different times of day. The upper deck has the best sunsets and we can confirm we saw the green flash!

Amazing stay, even more amazing host
We just returned from our little family getaway at this villa and already wish we could go back. We had the most amazing and relaxing time. The home has everything you need, and beyond. The view cannot be beat and pool access to add to that, what more do you need? Alicia the host is the most welcoming and helpful host we have ever had. She provided recommendations for us and even helped book our tours. We always felt very well taken care of. Thank you Alicia She

One of the best things in St Lucia!
My family and I stayed in Alicia’s property (Villa Blue Maho) in Marigot Bay in Jan 2024 and I have to say that the house itself and its view to the bay were among the best things we experienced in St Lucia. Alicia was very responsive, and very helpful. Always had a great recommendation for all our needs. The house was clean, spacious for the 4 of us and can easily accommodate many more. The pool was great and above all the magical view to the bay is something that you have to experience. Thank you Alicia for everything!

Most relaxing holiday we’ve had
The two of us had 10 great days at this fantastic huge property. The view of Marigot Bay is as good as the photos and the pool is nice and clean. Albeit not heated. The house itself is cosy and clean, great kitchen, living area with tv etc. And even a working barbecue with everything you need. Our bed comfortable and the showers worked great. Powerful flow and nice and as hot as you want it, always important. About a 10 min walk down to Marigot bay and all the restaurants including the main resort so great just to walk in and spend the day at their pool and swim up bar for food and drinks. It’s a little more walking backup hill but worth it to burn off all the food and drink. Pauline, Cornelius and taxi driver Moses all on hand for any excursions or questions about the island which is very convenient. It can get a little breezy at night which makes things clatter an bang a bit outside. So worth it to take a pair of earplugs. If we came back to St. Lucia we would definitely stay here again.

Wonderful week at Blue Maho!
We had a wonderful week at Villa Blue Maho at the end of February. We were 4 adults and a 10-year old girl and we absolutely loved the house. As some reviewers have noted, yes - the house needs work but not so much as to spoil our stay – the relatively low rent is reflective of its condition but make no mistake, the amazing views more than compensates for any negatives. And contrary to a recent review, I cannot agree that the kitchen is poorly equipped with crockery and cutlery as there was more than enough for us. Oh, and the soap dispenser in the dishwasher worked for us the two times we used it. The house is well laid out and equipped and the deck area with the pool was a wonderful place to take in the magnificent views over the bay. Pauline gave us plenty of tips about the area, restaurants and the bay itself and she and her husband Cornelius were so very helpful, particularly when we had car issues (dead battery). I recommend using a hire car as the road up to the villa is very steep, also without a car you won’t see some of the spectacular views and activities on this marvelous island. I definitely recommend a stay at Villa Blue Maho.

Amazing stay in Marigot Bay!
Our family just returned from a wonderful stay in Saint Lucia starting at Villa Blue Maho. The villa is fabulous - perched high above the entrance to the Bay. That covered outdoor living area next to the pool sold us on the property providing much needed protection from the sun. In the morning I enjoyed my coffee, reading a book and listening to the tour guides on the catamarans describe the area and the very popular Doolittle's Restaurant across the bay. Apparently the neighboring villas are owned by several celebrities and professional athletes - but I won't drop any names. As sailors, we loved watching the sail and power boats enter and exit the Bay. I brought along a small pair of binoculars for this very reason. The villa is very clean and bright - it looks freshly painted throughout. There are three dining and sitting areas, so we were able to spread out and relax. The bedrooms are huge with large closets and plenty of room for our belongings and suitcases. The villa has several US electrical outlets in the dining and living area so we could all charge our devices daily. Good thing because I forgot my converters! The kitchen is huge with lots of counterspace. Roof deck was an added surprise! Alicia the owner was very accommodating. We left Boston in a high wind storm and worried about arriving too late to pickup our rental and drive to Marigot Bay. She tracked out flight and checked in with us as we arrived. The villa was easy to find, even at night.

Lovely villa but in need of a face lift.
We are 4 independent friends who regularly rent holiday villas and who stayed in Villa Blue Maho for 14 days. We have a slightly mixed review of this property because there are many pros but also several cons. The villa is beautifully sited with wonderful views of the marine goings on in Marigot Bay; a good, medium sized pool and airy and comfortable bedrooms and beds. The villa was very clean with a good supply of clean linen and towels. Pauline, the house manager was helpful and the cleaners effective. Pauline got us an additional two sun loungers when requested as there were only two for the four of us on arrival.  Cornelius also fixed the ageing lock on the main bedroom door which was sticking badly. However the villa is in need of quite a bit of love and attention. The exterior is becoming shabby and needs some repair (gutters etc) and the property definitely needs a re-paint. The upper West facing terrace could be a lovely place to catch the afternoon sun but badly needs decorating and some sort of shade awning erected - the metal structure is already there. Sadly this terrace is also completely devoid of any sort of furniture. Similarly the rotary dryer on the pool deck is also unattractive and takes up a lot of valuable leisure room. Internally there are several lights that don’t work and many of the taps drip and the shower heads definitely need attention as they are not very effective. Some items need attention in the kitchen (the non-working fan by the cooker, the wobbly upper shelf and non working soap dispenser in the dishwasher etc. The kitchen is very well provisioned with cooking utensils but some crockery (cups and mugs) and cutlery are in fairly short supply for four and would be a bit of a problem with a full house of seven people. One thing that is not clear in the description is that the small bedroom in the upstairs apartment can only be accessed through the larger bedroom and the bathroom can only be accessed from the smaller room by going through the larger bedroom - not ideal. We also felt that a rather more detailed ‘Villa Book’ would be useful giving general area information (doctors, banks, restaurants, shops etc.) and specific information about the villa (recycling arrangements, how does the complicated microwave oven work etc). However the advantages outweigh the disadvantages and overall this villa is fair value for money but we feel the true rating for this property should actually be about three & a half stars.

Amazing vacation home!
We had 2 wonderful weeks at the Blue Maho villa! The view was outstanding! The privacy was great! We were not disappointed! Just as all the other reviews stated, the house could use a little TLC and updating, new pans in kitchen, new grate on bbq(rusty) but over all, the view outweighed it all. We loved the master bath right off the pool, was like having an outdoor shower. Was nice to have our own pool even though it was cold! Pauline the manager was great and very helpful but would not recommend her husband, Cornelius' boat charter! We were very disappointed. We wanted a day of good snorkeling at the Pitons and he failed to tell us there were 2 marine reserves with great snorkeling and he dropped us off at a beach with no snorkeling and a heavy current! Took us to a restaurant for lunch that we had to pay the fee to get off the boat dock, then it took almost 2 hours for lunch and he added a lunch for his employee onto our bill! Not at all what we expected! The island is absolutely beautiful and we did many other fabulous things we'd recommend, the tram at rainforest adventures, the Segway tour up the mountain in Rodney bay, the drive in volcano and mud baths, eating at the Pink Plantation overlooking Castries and the Dasheen restaurant at the Ladera resort overlooking the Pitons were some of the highlights! We did rent a car and the driving is crazy but was worth being able to go when and where we wanted, just don't go out at night! We would definitely recommend st. Lucia and the villa overlooking Marigot bay! The villa helped make it one of our best vacations.

Million dollar view!
The location of the villa was within walking distance to restaurants, stores and to the water taxis to the beach across the bay. The view from the back of the villa...which was located by the pool...was amazing! We just enjoyed watching the boats coming in and out of the bay every day...all day! Needs some minor work on the villa and the outside, but the location of the villa is ideal!

Our stay was wonderful
You villa was perfect. We enjoyed the amazing views, had coffee on the upper deck every morning and a glass of wine watching the gorgeous sunsets on the back deck every evening. Enjoyed cooking in your well provisioned kitchen. Had every pan an dish I needed, I love to cook even on vacation. We can't wait to return next year and hope to stay in Blue Maho again. Pauline and Cornelius were so friendly and helpful. We called then several times for guidance. I will try to plan our next year adventure and contact you to make sure Blue Maho is available. We love it. Thanks so much.

Best view in St. Lucia!!!
We stayed here 11 glorious nights. The view was so spectacular, it was hard to leave the villa!!!! Bring binoculars to enjoy all the fun in Marigot Bay! Loved and used all 3 decks and even saw the Green flash at sunset from upper, west deck!!!!!!! The bedrooms were huge with comfortable king beds. The TV was the largest we have ever had, in the Caribbean, to watch the Superbowl. The kitchen had EVERYTHING you could possibly need to cook with. Loved having a dishwasher and gas grill. It was so nice to have plenty of clothes hangers and hooks. Loved all the towels and having a washer and dryer. Walking distance to Marigot bay restaurants and a free, sweet, private cove (ask for directions) The house is a little tired and could use some TLC, however it is very clean and comfortable. So enjoyed our day with Cornelius on his boat, "Smooth Operator". Great snorkeling, in morning before the crowds! Happy we rented a car, but the driving is a challenge with left side drive and narrow, steep, winding roads. The rental company said we were responsible for the flat tire. Locals were friendly and helpful. Bought fresh fish, to cook, from the fisherman, on the dock in Castries just over the small bridge on the left.

Nice place, loved the view
Vill Blue Maho, is on a hillside with a great view. The deck and pool were great. We had a constant breeze so bugs were not a problem. The pool was a little cool to step into at first but was refreshing. Overall we had a great trip.

Loved it!
Wonderful house with great views, nice clean pool and outdoor spaces, and plenty of room for the family. We were able to easily get water taxis to the best beaches along the coast, and it's a good central location for driving trips as well. The caretakers were wonderfully helpful. It's hard to imagine a more beautiful place to have breakfast than the kitchen deck. The house could use a little maintenance. Many light fixtures are showing bare bulbs, so it's not as comfortable as it could be at night. Also the stove must be lit with matches, and we could not figure out the oven at all (not that we particularly needed it). It would also be nice to have the sunset balcony set up. None of this detracted from our vacation - we had a great time - just some things to consider to make it perfect.

Awesome Time
We shared this accommodation with another couple and there was plenty of room for all of us. The choice of watching the bay from either the small upper deck or the deck by the pool was fabulous. The villa was clean and comfortable and we appreciated the manager, Pauline, who was available any time if we had questions or concerns regarding the villa.

Beautiful position above the small harbour with ferry access to the beach
An ideal property for our family, who came for varying times throughout the 3 weeks we spent there. Villa was as well equipped as any family home, had both east & west facing terraces so always somewhere for everyone to sit either in sun or shade.

Absolutely fantastic!
This charming fabulous home was so comfortable we could have stayed for a lifetime. With three decks that oversee the ocean, there was always entertainment watching the boats. Marigot bay is so fascinating, I would live there & never have to go far. The people were kind, generous & loads of fun. So many great restaurants in walking or water taxi distance. Wonderful night life with great live music. You can walk easily home or taxis are always available. We went on an incredible boat trip with Kieran (info@toursinstlucia.com) & it was a highlight of my life. This home has so many comfortable places to relax, it felt like a mansion. Incredible kitchen with all the updated machines you could ask for. So easy to cook in, I felt like I was home. The home sparkled with cleanliness. The huge yard was well manicured & felt like living in a rainforest with interesting plants. I loved the tiny Antillean crested hummingbirds that live there probably because of the amount of the blooming bougainvillea. May God bless you for sharing your home with us!!!

Convenient location and Comfortable stay
We stayed for 6 nights in August in Villa Blue Maho. We found it to be a very large and convenient rental, with its own pool. It has incredible views of Marigot Bay and Doolittle beach. The location was ideal for us. Being south of Castries gives you relatively quick access to many parts of the island. Dining and grocery are not far away if you have a car. We also loved having our own private pool to cool off during the warm summer evenings. The property is a large, individual villa on a quiet street. From the entrance lobby, there are 2 big air-conditioned bedrooms on either side, each with it's own bathroom. The access to the pool deck is also off the main floor. Upstairs, there is a huge kitchen, and two large living areas and another bedroom and bathroom. There is good wifi access and the mosquito netting is adequate. We cooked several meals at home and found the kitchen has plenty of pots and pans, and basic appliances, though it could do with some new coffee mugs. We felt very secure in the house. External doors had deadbolts, and the driveway gate has a padlock that we always secured when we left for the day, and returned for the night. Being an older house, there are some maintenance issues that need to be addressed. The door to the master bathroom doesn't fully shut which means the a/c cannot keep up. We also encountered a leak in the laundry room. Having laundry facilities on site was a big help, though! The microwave gave out during our stay, but was promptly replaced. Note, there is no phone in the villa. And, we aren't sure why, but we weren't able to make wi-fi calls using our phone either. Pauline and Cornelius were very helpful in responding to our concerns, but, we could only reach them via email. So, I recommend having a local phone if you want to stay here. Also, it may be difficult to find the place initially – so avoid reaching there at night.

Best view ever!
Just had to tear ourselves away after 2 weeks at Blue Maho. This unique, spacious villa had begun to feel like home; it is an older property and has a few quirks but these mostly add to the charm. In general, the description of this villa was very accurate and we felt good value for money. However, some of the windows and mosquito screens could do with some attention. The through lounge is an ideal place for relaxation and the 2 main bedrooms really large and with efficient air conditioning. And the massive beds must be the most comfortable I have slept on while away on holiday. The good sized pool may be cold but is very refreshing to escape the heat. The view must be the top selling point of this villa, though. Overlooking the whole of Marigot Bay, you can spend hours watching yachts come and go, the little ferries going between the shores, the pleasure tours with their music, dancing and guides (not too many of these luckily!); plus in the evening you can see the cruise ships going back out to sea for the next leg of their journey. The manager Pauline was wonderful - she responded immediately to any problems and was full of useful information. She met us to guide us to the villa so we found it OK; however, perhaps some signs could be put up on the local roads to help people find it? There are several restaurants in Marigot Bay, most of which we tried. The Rainforest Hideaway is worth a visit if only for its position, Doolittles was rather disappointing, Mygo's OK and Juilettes at the top of the bay a good option. The drive to Soufriere, although only 20 miles, took us about an hour (we had hired our own car) but it is well worth a visit The road is in fairly good condition (compared to some of the other roads we drove on!) but winds its way up and down all the hills. We especially enjoyed the mud baths at the Sulphur Springs. And we had a couple of lovely lunches in the restaurants of 2 hotels: Hummingbird (just as you come into Soufriere) and Stonevillas Estate (on the hill going out of Soufriere). Another trip worth going on is the aerial tram ride; we managed (eventually) to find this ourselves but you might be better getting a taxi as it is really difficult finding your way around in a car once you get off the main roads; no road signs and rarely a sign to tell you which village you are in. Pigeon Island in the north is also worth a look. Altogether, a lovely holiday in the most beautiful bay on a beautiful island.

Great location
This house is ideally located. First the view on the bay is stunning. In addition, there is another patio on the other side of the house which is ideal for the Sunset on the ocean. Second, the house is at a walking distance from Marigot Bay where one can find good restaurants and a small supermarket. If you have a car, there is also a much bigger supermarket at roughly 5 min drive. Third, Marigot Bay is a great location for the ones willing to discover the island. By car, it takes 1 hours to Soufriere, 20-30 min to Castries, 45 min to Rodney Bay, 45 min to the treetop canopy on the East side of the island. Taxi boat will be much faster than cars... Renting the house was very easy. Pauline and Cornelius who are managing the house are very helpful and friendly. They lived for 18 yrs in France so they also speak French. The swimming pool was great for our kids. On the low side, the appliances in the house are dated (in the kitchen and the BBQ) but the house was very clean. Swimming in Marigot Bay was also disappointing. This is a marina surrounded by resorts so the water and the beach were not very clean. If you want great snorkeling go to the Anse du Cochon (20 min drive), Anse Chastanet or Sugar Beach. Altogether we had an excellent stay in this house and we would not hesitate to go back there.

Home away from home with the perfect view.
This was my first time renting a house so I was a bit nervous prior to arriving. I was put at ease with the communications I had with the owner of the property via email who answered any questions I had fairly promptly. My family and I were visiting St. Lucia due to a funeral and Ginny, the owner was very understanding and accommodating to our situation. I am truly grateful for that. Getting to the property was a bit tricky arriving at night because its in a secluded area with many winding roads. Luckily Cornelius, one of the property managers, for the house was waiting for us with the key and was able to provide more detailed directions to our taxi driver. Upon arriving late after a delayed flight we were eager to see the property and I must say the property looked exactly like in the pictures. Cornelius gave us the tour of the house and answered any questions we had. We also had contact numbers for him and his wife Pauline should we have any issues which was but was hardly needed. Waking up the following day and seeing the property in all its splendor as well as the magnificent views really made me happy I chose this house. The kitchen was well stocked and the general cleanliness and maintenance of the entire property was well done. It was spacious and well ventilated and the cool breeze was fantastic. Even more surprising was that we had no trouble with mosquitoes and the beds were fantastic. If I had to nitpick something negative about the house it would be that the pool was not heated. I took a dip once and it was freezing despite enjoying the warm Caribbean weather. Also, its an older house so some the fixtures might need updating but despite these minor things I would gladly return to this hidden gem of a property. I encourage anyone to choose this hidden piece of heaven. Thank you Ginny, Cornelius and Pauline. Hopefully my family and I can return under better circumstances. Warm Regards, Javis (from St. Maarten)
