Very comfortable, comfy beds… the only issue that doesn’t make it a perfect 10 is the master bathroom shower head needs to be replaced or cleaned because only some of the spouts work. Everyone would shower in the extra bathroom but I would still stay there again.
Central location made it easy to get around. We liked being close to the many restaurants and historical sites in San Antonio. The house was clean and equipped with everything we needed during our stay. Beds were comfortable and rooms are spacious. Check in/out process was seamless. Thanks for making our stay enjoyable!
The house was just as advertised: 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, kitchen and living room. We found the major furniture very adequate, but it was less well "equipped". No hair dryer or toaster, for example. And plates (6 for 5 people was adequate but barely. No bowls, no blankets for those of us who found things cold. The TV had cable access but we had to sign in our own connections to use it. The neighborhood? Well, a bit run-down but we didn't care. Other complaints we saw (bad bed or street noise) didn't bother us at all. Fixed?Still, the owner was very responsive and promptly addressed our requests bringing over bowls and blankets (thin) and telling us how to raise the temperature (something we never really mastered but got it up). The location worked very well for us. Easy access to downtown and out-of-town excursions for our city break. We loved San Antonio and the side areas such as the LBJ ranch and Austin. Had a great time and found the place good value for the money.

The house overall was very nice it was an older house with wood flooring. The 3 beds were spacious and comfortable the heater worked great since we stayed when we had the cold front. The outside was too noisy if you plan on sleeping in that’s not happening you can hear everything outside. The neighbors are always messing with the trash cans every night. It is a busy street a lot of cars passing fast with loud music. There was construction early in the mornings and the workers were talking really loud. Parking is limited, you can park in the back of the house but the gate can easily open. The house was great but the outside environment was not.
A lot of great places within walking distance. A lot of culinary and attractions within driving distance. House was amazing and our family enjoyed all amenities the house came with. I would recommend to family and friends. When we do visit again, this VRBO will be checked first.
From the gorgeous wood floors to the stylish tiled showers, we loved this charming old home dressed in Texas elegance. The comfortable, ample seating provided us hours of enjoyment watching Trump’s election celebration! We loved that Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church was just around the corner. Our host, Daniel, was always attentive in answering my questions, offering any additional help if needed. We were so pleased with our stay at The Yellow Rose!
We enjoyed our stay. Good location short drive to the zoo and the River Walk in a comfortable home.

Nice but needs a few improvements
We liked the location and decorations all appealing. The lay out of the room were good for our group the couch was very nice and comfortable.
The Master suite room had a few signs of dead roaches, the bed had a big dip in the mattress. The other king room had sheets that hairs and stains, so more attention to bedding. The mattress also sloped to one side, so our friends were uncomfortable and changed rooms.
Overall we enjoyed our stay we reached out to the owner for a few things and the response was fast and very helpful.

Check in process was nice, it was clean, one of the beds has a big dip on one side that was uncomfortable, and we were looking forward to using the hot tub but it didnt work, and the street was really busy at night, there was this one loud car driving around the neighborhood all night it was annoying, and also the neighbors constantly getting in and out of their cars during the night it was very loud, but the host seemed nice and the place was nice, just not the best location
Rented this home for the week while we moved my son into his apartment. Had lots of space for us to bring in all of his stuff and was well located near the areas we were apartment hunting. There were a few places to eat at one end of the street, but we didn't try any of them. The actual street was pretty busy (enough that it had speed humps on it), but traffic wasn't too bad at night.
The beds are pretty firm except for the one my son was using, which he said had a big dip in the middle. And the shower in the second bathroom was very tiny. But it had a nice big section sofa we could all watch tv on and a nice big tv.
There is room for one car to park behind the house and a gate to close it off (though it doesn't lock or secure itself in any meaningful way).
Communication with the owner was great. He even asked if the landscapers could come while we were there, which I appreciated.
The house is very clean and nicely updated. The house is centrally located in between the zoo and pearl brewery. The house was comfortable and had everything we needed. We would definitely stay here again.
Location great to Fiesta Parade route and local business down the street. Great Mexican restaurant down the street for breakfast tacos too. Hot tub was nice after a long day walking all over San Antonio. Night Life is just walking distance away.
The host was very communicative and the home is in a great central location, if a bit “up and coming”. Tobin Hill is a charming location, and an easy walk to the River Walk. Lots of charming little restaurants and bars nearby.
The house itself is a recent flip and it’s pretty obvious the moment you drive up. The yard still matches the neighborhood if you check Google Streetview. The house in the most recent 2021 street view photos is ready to collapse and the owner appears to have done the bare minimum to prevent that before listing on VRBO. It looks gorgeous in the photos and real life matches but it’s pretty surface level beauty. It was perfectly adequate for the 6 of us for 2 nights, however the floors squeak loudly and some of the floor boards are ready to collapse. In the 3rd bedroom we were afraid that we were going to fall through the floor, so found a safe path to walk around it. They really need to address this flooring issue since it’s through the house and is a safety hazard. Do not jump. The mattresses were very lumpy; in the master bedroom it feels like the springs have completely collapsed, in the 3rd bedroom the frame is completely missing some slats to the mattress sags severely.
Otherwise, large bedrooms, beautiful kitchen, the nightstands have plenty of outlets, the showers had great water pressure and enough heat for all 6 of us to shower in the morning. TVs in every room. And the host left large mugs in the freezer.
We stayed at this property for one week and found it extremely comfortable and relaxing. Although it was just the two of us, the house is
perfectly setup for a group of four or six - tv's in every room and plenty of space and kitchen area. This place was tastefully decorated
with the host thinking of the guest right down to the little things such as frosty mugs in the freezer. A place to park in the back was also
a nice touch as was the front porch chairs to sit out and enjoy a coffee. For sure recommend this property and had a good experience communicating
with the host.
