We appreciated the nicely finished interior of this older structure. The decor is crisp & clean. It was roomy but cozy place to stay. We came to ride our bicycles on the Longleaf Trace trail. This was a great location to get to the trail. It was convenient to go downtown for a great food at Southbound bagel co and Hattiesburg Burger co. burger co
Great house to stay in while my son and I attended an event at USM. House had all kinds of extras that truly made you feel welcome. There is some construction going on at other houses in neighborhood. There is no WiFi in the home so have backup plan if you need to do any computer work. Host was very quick to respond to any questions. Will definitely be staying here again when I come to visit my son at college.
Never entered the property due to condition of surroundings. Vacant, rundown homes next door, overgrown lawn. Did not feel it was well represented online. Total loss of money!! Had to get accommodations elsewhere. This experience makes me leary of further bookings thru VRBO.
My family stopped here to go to the Zoo and Waterpark on our way to the beach. In all honesty, there was no “wow moment” pulling into the neighborhood, in fact, the houses leading up to this one made me worry. HOWEVER, aside from the two old abandoned houses to the left, everyone else in the neighborhood seems nice and like they care about their houses and neighborhood. The neighbors to the right were very sweet and the Hattiesburg FD were running drills in their new purple fire truck on our street and they let our son get inside! So that was a fun memory. As for the house itself, everything was great, but know that there is no wifi! This was fine though, as there was good service. For the price of this place, it is a good stay!
