Great House, Great Location!

As a family of runners, we LOVED being so close to Papago Park, where we could run to Tempe Town Lake, and to ASU to visit our daughter - Great Location! We also liked that the house is very well stocked, we had everything we needed to enjoy our stay! The only negative is that the hammock fell down on my daughter, and I see that there are other reviews mentioning this as well. Although it isn't very far from the ground, the large metal hook that it hangs from hit her in the head, and she had a large welt, with swelling, because of this. I think it's time to put it away, or hang it appropriately. Otherwise, great stay, thank you for sharing your lovely home!

Good value, sweet location

I chose this rental home for it's proximity to the canal bike paths, Tempe Lake paths, and Papago Park. We were able to use the bikes provided 3 or 4 times during our stay. We also hiked the short trail up to Hole in the Rock at Papago Park for sunset twice. The pool table and patio dart board were a plus, as was the Direct TV with saved movies. We thought the door code was for the garage door and started to panic when we couldn't get in, but then found the front door had a coded lock which worked with the number we were given. The owner was responsive and helpful via email. This was my first time renting VRBO thru Evolve booking, and the booking agents were responsive but didn't always have the info I was inquiring about. Don't let that deter you, this home is in a nice neighborhood and was clean and comfortable. I saved a couple hundred dollars by taking the Skyharbor Sky Train (free) to the Light Rail ($2 each, one way) which took us into Tempe where the rental car rates were more reasonable than at the airport.

Lovely week in a favorite neighborhood

We lived in the Phoenix area for 30+ years before moving to Reno, NV a little over a year ago. We have season tickets to the Giants Spring Training so we like to come back for a few weeks in early March. It’s an expensive time of year here so we were grateful to find this lovely, spacious home in the very neighborhood where our son lives (and the same model as another son sold last year). While our expected group shrank due to illness and we didn’t really need all the room, we enjoyed the soaciousness and comfort. The house was beautifully appointed with lovely art and furnushinigs. We enjoyed cooking on the grill and sitting outside on the back patio. The proximity to baseball, golf and favorite restaurants made this the perfect getaway! Thank you, JoJo, for checking in on us and sharing your love of the neighborhood, travel, and our similar backgrounds. Hope to meet you one day!

Super cute home!!

Oh my gosh this property is just fabulous! The house is gorgeous, with plenty of room and things to do! The pictures online do not do it justice. Super clean and well-maintained. I have nothing but great things to say about the owner who took his time to call me and make sure I knew how to get into the home, make great recommendations of things to do in the area, and made sure all our accommodations were comfortable. The house is located in a great neighborhood in Tempe. There are close hikes to do nearby which I highly recommend. And you are very close to downtown areas where there is plenty of bars and great restaurants. (Great for the foodies). I will definitely be staying in this house again next time I come down to Phoenix. Five stars all the way.

Wonderful home and wonderful host

We were in Arizona for Spring Training. This home was exactly as described: comfortable, well decorated, had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. The neighborhood was very quiet yet was fairly close to grocery shopping, dining and freeway entrances. There were a couple of small problems our host took care of immediately. He and his wife were charming and very accommodating. We had a wonderful stay and would definitely stay here again.

Our experience started on a good note when Joe called the day before our trip to welcome us and gave his contact info in case we needed anything during our stay. The house was clean, spacious and the well-stocked kitchen made meal preparation easy. The location was great for us, situated conveniently between ASU and downtown Scottsdale. We enjoyed the beautiful back yard patio and gas grill. Joe, we appreciate your home was presented as promised, it made for a relaxing and enjoyable trip.

The house was the perfect accompaniment to a stay in the area. It was spacious, had everything we needed, clean, and welcoming. We had a great time playing billiards and darts. Great kitchen to cook. Perfect Vacation Home!!

The home exceeded our expectations in every way. It was beautifully decorated with a very nice outdoor patio with a grill and dining area which we used each night after spending the day watching baseball. The owner, Joseph, was very nice and checked in with us to make sure we had everything we needed, which we did. The beds were comfortable and the location was perfect. What more can I say other than, "we will be back!".

This property is very close to everything in Phoenix. Our longest drive was 30 minutes to the edge of the Phoenix metro area. Most of our drives were 10-20 minutes to various places in the city. The garage was awesome and easy to park our car. The kitchen was fully stocked. There was plenty of room to sit and talk in the kitchen, living room, dining area. The back patio was so private and secluded. It felt like we had the whole back yard to ourselves and it was a retreat from the big city. The beds were comfortable. The rooms were quiet. The temperature in the home was easy to maintain. The showers were always warm with great water pressure. Everything that you could need in a home...it was here. We even had a small glitch with our sheets and we needed several clean sets of sheets and the owner of the property bent over backwards to make it right and got us a new change of bed linens right away.

the property was very clean and well located for golfing. you can go in all directions for good close golf course. the kitchen had all the cooking utensils you would need. the, garbage cans are marked just the opposite what what the book says but guests can figure that out. thanks for letting us use your propety , dave

Ideal vacation home

We were delighted to find this rental for our 3 generation family vacation. We needed a new location at the last minute due to the California fires and were worried it would be difficult to find one that would accept our cat and be toddler friendly as well as comfortable for the adults. This met our needs perfectly and we loved the location, walkable to parks, trails, and a short drive to the zoo and the butterfly wonderland. Everything in the house was immaculate and in great condition, the kitchen was generously supplied, and the grill worked well. Patio was great for our toddler and plenty of play space inside, too. Added bonus is that two of the three beds are incredibly comfortable memory foam. The only minor suggestions that I have for improvement would be to add more flatware, since the 4 person settings weren't enough for our party of five; and the dishwasher works fine but needs some work on the creaky rollers that would bring it up to the standards of the home.

Great location!

We were very pleased with the vacation rental house. The location is right off the 202 freeway which allowed us to get around easily! The house was nice, clean, quiet and offered a large back yard with grass for our 2 dogs. It was great being across from Papago Park to hike and walk the dogs. The bed was really comfy too! We would definitely stay here again.

Highly Recommended!

We LOVED this property for so many reasons. Upon arrival we were greeted by Artie while exploring the spacious and comfortable patio area. That was such a wonderful surprise! We loved all the flowers all around the front and back patio areas and the hammock chair was a hit as well. The bikes were greatly appreciated and were used frequently to ride the scenic paved Papago trails a short distance away. There were so many personal touches that made us feel right at home. We really appreciated all the d̩cor, comfy couch, nice TV's, appliances and grill. The pool table was enjoyed by all. This home was supplied with everything you could possibly need (besides groceries!) including a very well stocked spice cabinet. The location can not be beat. Thank you for the care and attention to detail in opening your home for others to enjoy! We hope to be back as soon as possible!

Highly recommend!

This property is awesome! It was perfect in every way! The decor is gorgeous and screams home. It provides everthing you need for cooking and entertaining. You melt into the memory foam beds at the end of the day. I never have slept in such a comfortable bed. It is close to the interstates which provides easy access in your travels. Kyle our contact was very helpful. I highly recommend this as a rental. I will return!

Home away from home

This home was cozy and comfortable- we were notified before we arrived that the previous tenants had broken a bed frame and there wasn't any time to replace it before our arrival- the bed itself was fine- So we stayed and the bed looked a little sub par without the frame- but at the last minute- we understood the owners problem. We were contacted by the owner and received $50 reimbursement for our disappointment. We never had the garage door opener through out our stay- we contacted Kyle- and he said he would get one for us- but we never did get the garage door opener. We still had a good time, fun place to stay- the kids loved the pool table!

Great location, comfortable stay!

We enjoyed our stay very much. 3 of us visited Tempe for a week to participate in the Ironman event. The location was a short drive to the race and to all the action in Tempe. The house was clean, comfortable and safe. Any questions we had were responded to quickly and the check in and check out was simple.
