The most amazing place !!! We've loved it
From the moment we drove through the gates we were impressed, the building itself, the friendless of Ben and his family, the rooms, the grounds, the quality of all the extras, a lot of attention has been put to details, the kitchen has any cooking gadgets you need, you'll never run out of any plates, cutlery, plenty of everything, the towels are lovely and fluffy, the wine glasses are quality ones, there are welcome little things in each room. All these details are the ones that for us make this not a great rental, but an extraordinary one. We were 2 families of 5 and both the adults and the kids enjoyed the week 100%. If you want to relax by the pool and Jacuzzi, this is for you, if you are the sporty type, you have a brand new tennis court, plenty of other games, and great surroundings for a walk or run. I could go on and on, but I won't. Best summary would be to say that on the last day Ben, the owner, asked us for anything they could improve to make it a better rental, we couldn't think of anything to say. Thanks Ben and Shelley for letting us into your chateau, thanks for all your help. I'm pretty sure it won't be the last time we see each other. The Beever-Salinas-Rodriguez extended family

A wonderful house
We were a three generation family of 9, although the house would comfortably accommodate more. This is a top quality house with excellent amenities. All the rooms are beautifully and individually decorated to a very high standard. The beds are comfortable, the bathrooms luxurious. The entertaining rooms are beautifully furnished and spacious. The kitchen has a delightful array of crockery and all useful gadgets and equipment. Great care has been taken over every aspect of the property. The pool is well provided with loungers sunshades and towels. It was clean and kept very well. The gardens are beautiful and extensive. The tennis court is excellent. There is a very good barbecue with adjacent table and chairs, as well as other places to have breakfast or drinks on the terraces. We were greeted very warmly on our arrival and shown round the property by Claude and Ben to ensure we knew how it worked. Overall all of us would highly recommend this property. It is close to a village with 2 boulangeries a butcher and small convenience store. There are many things to do nearby: kayaking was a great day. Nantes is a very attractive historic city. We all enjoyed it. Over the years we have rented many houses for family holidays. The only issue for us was whether this was the best, or the joint best of all of them!

So beautifull. Very impressive
With 12 friends we spent a week at this location. The location is actually even more beautiful than you can see in the photos and that starts at the driveway. All the rooms are so beautiful and impressive. The bedrooms are large and have comfortable beds. 6 of the 7 rooms have a beautiful private bathroom and often a separate toilet. One of the 'rooms' consists of three rooms, a nice hall and a bathroom. You then 'live' in a wing of the building. They are all very luxurious rooms with a fantastic view to the outside. You have the feeling that you are in a very luxurious hotel, but without staff and other guests. Even the hall and hallway upstairs are impressive. All the luxury for yourself. This location is overwhelming. The facilities such as swimming pool, Jacuzzi, tennis court, volleyball pit (sand), soccer goals, table tennis table, trampoline and pool were all well maintained. The garden around is also very beautiful, so you can sit on different sides of the chateaux in very beautiful places. Nice in the shade or in the sun. From the location you can immediately take beautiful walks and a good butcher and bakery are also close by (a few minutes by bike). It's not a noisy location, so you don't hear people walking on the stairs or creaky beds from other rooms. It is very quiet and because of its size you will always find a quiet spot if necessary. At the pool they have plenty of sun loungers, umbrellas and towels. There is also a washing machine which is super handy. It costs a bit, but then you have a priceless memory for life. What a beautiful location.

Lovely Chateau with great facilities - perfect for a large family or group of friends.
Perfect week spent at the Chateau - beautifully clean and well presented. Near to local towns and villages for groceries and restaurants - plenty to do with a beautiful new tennis court. Ben and Shelley are there if you need them but totally invisible otherwise!

A very special place to create family memories
We stayed at the chateau with all our extended family to celebrate my wife's 50th birthday. From our the first sight we were immediately enchanted by the scale, beauty and setting of the Chateau. We felt truly spoiled, the bedrooms were amazing, each with a luxury en-suite; the reception rooms were straight out of an 18th century romantic novel. We all enjoyed the grounds with pool and tennis court. We chose to cook most of our own meals enjoying al fresco dining on the terrace, on one evening Benjamin arranged for a chef to prepare a celebration gastronomic delight. We loved it. Benjamin and Shelley were very helpful and available if we needed them but unobtrusive. A lovely holiday.

A sweet holiday dream with all the family.
The chateau is more beautiful that we expected. The rooms and all interior are perfect, and the garden is ..., marvellous. we are a family of 14, sister, brother, husband, wife, son, dauther, mother, father... from 8 to 71 years old and all of us love our time spend there this summer. The pool is warm and the jacuzzi is hot, and the bbq is perfect. We use the kitchen and it was perfect for us like the dinning room and the piano room. I am sure we will come back soon and we will be there for more time. Benjamin, and all his family are very good host. Dont forget to try MUSCADET wine.

A Wonderful Place for a Family Reunion!
Our occasion to visit Chateau du Breil was the 5 year reunion with our 7 grandchildren, now ages 19-24. Iris and I had been looking for a special place to celebrate and when we saw Shelley and Ben's place on line, we grabbed it!. Located 30 minutes from Nantes and a TGV ride from Paris, we were so pleased to find a room for each person with individual bath, beautiful formal dining room and living room, large kitchen, heated pool--what else could we ask for? So, when we corresponded with the owners, they helped us arrange for a chef and our chef's tour of the Nantes marketplace, a tour of a local Muscat winery, reservations at a two star Michelin restaurant near by, fresh breads and crescents every morning. Gathering around the swimming pool, walking through the vineyards or to the nearby village, we knew we had found a place to build memories for our family. And build, we did.....Our grandkids were blown away by the place-- having come from hostels and camping areas, wine and cheese dinners--suddenly, they were part of the artisanal scene. What we didn't expect was the warmth of Ben's family, whom we invited to join us for our final dinner 4 days later. We didn't just live in luxury , we found new friends who made us feel at home and a part of their family. So, if you want a place to stay where hospitality and lifelong friendships can develop, give them a call, tell them what you are planning and what you need and they will make it happen. Tell them we sent you...C'est Magnifique.

Property was what you expect in a French Chateau
Beautifully laid out in exquisite settings. Every bedroom was a delight. Countryside as you would expect in the Loire Valley. Our hosts were charming & helpful. The chef we organised with wine was fabulous. A week to savour with good friends.
