Great location to relax and the hostess has a very thorough guide book she put together of amazing things to do and see in the area. We had a fantastic time!
Comfortable home in a great little town. Saw whales!
The house was very clean and safe and comfortable and roomy. The town itself is an ideal portrait of a not-too-touristy, friendly port village. We had breakfast in a local place and am sure they would have known us by name if we had stayed another day!
We had a wonderful experience in this house rental. Enjoyed having coffee on the porch each morning with a lovely ocean view. House has everything we needed, comfortable beds, great living room and dining space. Quick communication with the owner, looking forward to booking for next summer!
We stayed for 2 nights and had a wonderful time. Easy to walk to the center and do some shopping and eating. The view from the house was so beautiful! To be able to see the ocean from the house was amazing! The house was very well stocked with anything we could have needed. plenty of poop bags! Haha in the future
It would be Great to have a small fenced in area for the dogs to go out (we were spoiled at our previous stay)!
The house is in the perfect location; offering a quiet residential neighborhood with a view of the water and within a healthy walking distance to the charming downtown of Eastport. A perfect mix of rustic New England charm and contemporary conveniences, the house is just great as a home base for exploring the Northern edge of Maine. Historic home fans will just SWOON over the antique oak floors and shabby chic doorknobs. Come spend a few days living in an Wyeth painting with soft light, salty breezes, and sea glass vibes. Enjoy your visit to Eastport!!
We really enjoyed our stay at the Captains Quarters. The living room is very cozy and has seating for 5-6 people. The kitchen is well equipped with whatever you need. My only thought is that if you or anyone that you are traveling with have difficulty managing stairs, this may not be the best choice. The home sits on a hill, and the only bathroom is upstairs. Otherwise, the home is lovely, and we hope to stay again someday.
The property manager, Mia, anticipated a family's every need to insure a delightful stay. The kitchen is fully equipped to prepare family meals. The bathroom has an abundance of shelves for toiletries, an important quality for me. The family area flows to the kitchen with seating for 6. There is a new washer and dryer. The bedrooms are comfortable and have extra pillows and comforters for chiller nights. The outstanding highlight is the water view from the porch and the smell of the fresh ocean air.
