Private Hideaway

Nice home with large open dining/living area. That space was great for family (all adults) to hang out together, and each couple also had their own bedroom. Kitchen very well equipped.

Return to heaven

Our family originally built this home and it was amazing to see what Jose’s family has done to it over the years. If looking for a quiet place to stay that is still within a short distance of civilization, this is your place to go

A great mini-vacation

We live in Vermont, and decided to vacation in the state due to the coronavirus. We had to make several changes in our original reservation (due to the pandemic), and the property manager was very helpful in handling these. The place was even better than we imagined. We wish we could have spent more time away. There was so much to do, even just a short drive away. And, we could have happily stayed just at the house. It was comfortable, bright, and well-provisioned. In addition, although we couldn't swim in the pond, it provided endless entertainment to the two children who used the net to capture (and release) "critters." Hopefully, there will be another visit in the future. Thank you!

Our stay was great. Everything we could possibly need access to was communicated before hand. Very clean. I would definitely look to stay again in the future.

The house could not have been more perfect for a serene, weekend getaway.

The opportunity to stay in a stranger's home and feel like it is your home of 20+ years is rare in my experience. Yet, this was the feeling my five friends and I had from the moment we set foot in the front door. Not only was the house incredibly accessible and easy to find for one so peacefully tucked away, it was also warm and under constant natural light that easily made its way inside. And while the property manager had to come and adjust furnace settings on the first night for some extra warmth, he did so immediately and with minimal disturbance. After each long day of skiing, all we wanted was to return to the confines of such a comfortable setting. A fully stocked kitchen and open floor plan made cooking and sharing meals doubly enjoyable. With three queen beds and a nicely furnished living room, at no point did any one of us feel uncomfortable or like we were lacking privacy. I sincerely look forward to the opportunity to stay in this house again in the future and know it will be possible given how welcoming and responsive the owner was. Wouldn't stay anywhere else!
