Enjoy convenience and excitement staying just ONE BLOCK from downtown Leavenworth. Within 5 minutes you can walk to authentic European-style shops, enjoy quaint Bavarian music, and visit our local breweries. Right across the street is a fully stocked local grocery store, Dan's. Leavenworth offers easy access to skiing, mountain bike trails, hiking trails, riverfront paths and an enchanting downtown stroll. Arrive by train or park the car in your private space (room for 4 vehicles plus on street parking) for the weekend. This turn-of-the-century home has old world charm and a cozy atmosphere that will take you away from your work-a-day lifestyle. Bergen Haus is a comfortable and welcoming home that has been enjoyed by many families throughout the years.

The 5 bedrooms have comfortable queen sized beds with ample space for luggage and personal items. A large living room, and dining area provide plenty of room for the family get together or friends enjoying each other's company. Meals are easily prepared in the modern, well appointed kitchen. Family members can sit by the cozy fireplace and enjoy this retreat after an active day. For hot summer days we have added AC window units (in two of the bedrooms) plus ceiling fans throughout the home & bedrooms.

We have 5 couples and this house was perfect with each room having a queen bed. It is an easy walk to town, just the perfect location. This was our second time staying here. We plan to book again! Thank you!

Spacious and Convenient
There was ample room for our family of 10, including adult children and 3 grandchildren and the location was ideal. It was so nice to be able to walk to town! It also was easy to walk to Dan's Market for groceries or around the corner to access the river trail. The kitchen was well equipped and we easily fit around the dining table. Everyone enjoyed cross-country skiing at Icicle River Trails, too. The host responded very quickly when we had questions. We were very pleased with our decision to stay in this comfortable and convenient home.

Great Family Location
Wonderful place to spend a family weekend. Allowed us to all hang out together watching movies, playing games and preparing meals to save money. Love Leavenworth but obviously can be expensive! Walking distance to everything this Bavarian Village has to offer without being in a hotel in the middle of it all!

Great home for large group
This was our second annual Christmas family weekend in Leavenworth. The house is located within walking distance to downtown and all the Christmas festivities. Beware the crowds downtown are getting so big that it's overwhelming this beautiful town and shops on weekends.

Overall its a great place to stay. Cons: we ran out of propane in the middle of bbq’ing dinner with no spares. Only two rooms had ac and the house can get very hot in summer.

We’ve stayed here many times now. We bring our parents, our two daughters and their husbands and our 5 year old granddaughter. The house has plenty of room for everyone, and nobody feels cramped. The front porch is wonderful to sit on in the evening. Location is perfect. Only a couple blocks from downtown. My only complaint is that somehow we seem to always be there when the temperature is over 100 degrees and air conditioning would sure be nice, but we make do. It’s not going to stop us from staying at this beautiful house! Highly recommend.

The only reason i gave a one star for communication with the property management is because there really wasn't any issues. The house very quiet and well equipped. Everyone had a good time. I would stay here again if I'm in Leavenworth.

Great spot for a group of people
We had a great time checking out Leavenworth while staying at this place. The place was large enough for our group and met all our needs. It was nice to have a lot of parking on the backside of the house as the front has parking meters. It was a nice little walk to the heart of Leavenworth so we never really drove after arriving. The grocery store was a short walk too. All and all we really enjoyed our stay!

This house is awesome. The host is very accommodating and gets back to you quickly. We were in Leavenworth for our UPCI Ladies Retreat. 420 women all gathered in Leavenworth. Ladies stayed at motels and different homes. Gods presence blest us so much. This home was so comfortable, clean and the beds were nice. I’d definitely stay again.

Great little gem
I was pleasantly surprised at the charm this house has. It was perfect for our annual adults trip to town. And although we rented this cute vintage house during one of the coldest weekends Leavenworth had seen in a while. -14 at night and -4 during the day. Our hosts were more than accommodating to ensure we were comfortable. Would definitely rent again!!

Great property/severe lack of communication
The house itself was lovely. Much bigger inside than the pictures would have you believe. Everything appeared clean and in neat order. Definitely old house charm - floor boards and doors were very noisy. Heating was a little wonky, but we were never cold. The only reason I am giving 3/5 stars is because of the lack of communication with the owners. I never received information regarding checking in/out prior to our stay. I reached out via email and called the owner numbers given with no luck. One phone number was a fax, one went straight to voicemail. Upon arrival I called a number tied to my reservation confirmation and was told they had no record of my reservation. I ended up calling VRBO Customer Service and was finally able to get the code to the key box and get into the house. Overall we were happy with the house. We had 3 families with kids and there was more than enough space for all of us.
