Nice and Quiet

We were in town for a baseball tournament centered around Melissa with games in many neighboring towns. This home was conveniently located. I was able to add an extra night on with ease. The home is in a decent and quiet neighborhood near conveniences. It was clean for the most part. The kitchen is stocked with dishes, utensils, and pans. There is a Keurig. No coffee pods or seasonings for cooking are provided. The bedrooms are as pictured. Pillows were flat so if you prefer fluffy take your own. Bathrooms were as pictured and stockedbwith toilet paper. Towels were provided but are not of good quality. We did have to clean the shower drain on one of the tub shower the first night as it was holding water. The living room had plenty of seating but TV is outdated with no satellite/cable. If you plan to use it take a Roku or similar. The washer and dryer worked very well. There is a small seating area and propane grill outside. There was not a propane take provided though. If you plan to use it maybe arrangements can be made prior to your stay. The game room was fun but hot (June). A fan would have been nice. There was quite a bit of dirt and spiderwebs but not enough to deter us. There was also a box of trash left in there. We mostly played pingpong and fussball. The basketball game only had 1 basketball. It did not have working batteries so it never actually worked. The air hockey table worked. The wifi worked well. All in all it was a great place to stay.

Perfect place for my family!

My daughter's birthday was the same day as the eclipse, so we'd promised her a trip into the path of totality. The 6 of us (my husband and me, two teens, and stepdaughter and her boyfriend) all flew to Texas from Hawaii. I'd originally booked us a couple of hotel suites, but this house was so much better for us and was nearly the same price. It was great being able to gather in the living room before and after our daily adventures and the kitchen was a pleasure to work in. The neighborhood was quiet and close proximity to major roads and other amenities. We didn't spend much time in the game room but probably would have if we'd stayed another couple of days. Communication with Shawn was prompt and easy. I would happily stay there again if my travels bring me back that way.
