About this property

Hawk's Landing - pet friendly, hot tub, luxurious

Summary:
Our log cabin can comfortably accommodate 12 guests. You and your tribe will love every second of your stay and enjoy all the special amenities this mountain cabin has to offer.

The Space:
Upgrade your mountain get-away with a stay at our luxurious log cabin! Including six bedrooms, two living spaces, large deck, cozy backyard, outdoor hot tub, gourmet kitchen with all high end appliances and gadgets, and a very functional kitchenette, plus amazing views while still close to all the local attractions, we are sure that every one in your group will find their favorite spot.
Great for large families, reunion events, work team building or just a romantic weekend away from the hustle of the city, Hawk’s Landing is pet friendly so no one is missing out on the fun.
Bordering on Pike National Forest and tucked away on the side of Pikes Peak with incredible mountain views, yet easily accessible year round, our cabin is conveniently located less than 10 minutes away from Woodland Park, 15 minutes away from Manitou Springs and only 20 minutes away from Colorado Springs.
With high vaulted ceilings, rustic decor and comfortable furniture, Hawk’s Landing is guaranteed to enhance your Rocky Mountain experience. With ample space to comfortably accommodate larger groups, plenty of parking, including a two car garage, six Smart TVs, High Speed Internet, Nest Thermostat, central AC and heating, remote controlled gas fireplace, charcoal barbeque grill and gas fire pit, a large hot tub, a large selection of board and card games, puzzles, your only problem will come up when it is time to leave.
Guests will enjoy complete access to all amenities on the property as the sole guests, excluding two locked closets, one on the lower level by the laundry room and the second one inside the main level shared bathroom. We do not offer cable TV or a phone landline. All our TVs are smart TVs and provide free access to Netflix and HULU or you can log into your own preferred streaming networks. The main livingroom TV comes preloaded with thousands of movies and TV shows you can watch at any time. Cell phone coverage is very good throughout the house and enhanced by WiFi connection.
Neighborhood:
Part of a small, quiet mountain town with easy access to 24 Hwy, Hawk’s Landing is within walking distance to hiking trails and Green Mountain Falls Gazebo Lake. Stop at the Mucky Duck restaurant where you can enjoy local live music on Saturday nights, have breakfast anytime of the day at The Pantry, or take a 10 minute drive to Woodland Park for an array of picturesque shops and restaurants while enjoying amazing views on the way. For a quick supply/grocery stop there is a Walmart in Woodland Park less than 10 minutes away and several other grocery stores including Natural Grocers for specialty items.

Guest Access:
Personal vehicle is recommended. 4WD vehicles are a MUST during cold season (October - April)
We recommend backing up onto the driveway as when the garage is already occupied turning a vehicle around at the top might be tight. Also we highly recommend exiting the driveway facing forward as it is a bit steep. Our driveway is long and narrow, could accommodate up to to six vehicles on the drive and two inside the garage, however plan your parking accordingly as a full shuffle might be needed with multiple vehicles. No parking is allowed on the road.
Initial access to the house will be up the deck stairs and through the front door. You will be receiving a personal lock code to let yourselves in. A garage door remote control will be available for you if you wish to use the garage during your stay. Please return garage door remote control to the same location prior to checkout.

This cabin makes a good home base for trips to many nearby tourist attractions including Manitou Springs, Pikes Peak, Garden of the Gods, Cave of the Winds, Manitou Cliff Dwellings, The Manitou Incline, Seven Falls, Old Colorado Springs, U.S. Olympic Training Center, North Pole Santa’s Workshop, Eleven Mile State Park and many others.
Guests who love the outdoors will find great hiking, biking,
4-wheeling, golfing, and fishing nearby.

Other Things to Note:
Our cabin is pet friendly. We can accommodate up to three (3) pets per reservation. If you plan to bing your pet/pets, please include that into your pre-booking message and acknowledge you have read and understood our Pets section of House Rules.

Hot tub maintenance services are being preformed before and after each reservation. Please follow the Hot Tub rules posted inside the master bathroom. Needed chemicals and supplies are available inside the outdoor storage box next to the tub or inside the master bathroom vanity cabinet (during winter time). Keep the tub covered at all times when not in use and secure with the 6 river rocks as you found it to prevent occasional heavy winds from blowing the cover open. Please reach out if you need any assistance with the hot tub during your stay.

We pride ourselves in providing a clean and tidy space for all our guests. Due to high interest and accepting same day reservations, we want to allow our cleaner all necessary time to thoroughly complete cleaning and disinfecting tasks. For this reason we are not able to accommodate late checkout requests. Please plan accordingly and book the correct amount of days as to allow for a prompt 11 AM checkout time. A late checkout fee of $250 will be added to your reservation costs if house is not vacant by 11:30 AM.

Roads condition:
A 4 WD vehicle is A MUST during snow season ( October - May) to be able to access the house. The roads are maintained and cleared by the county, but even though we do our best to keep our driveways clear of snow, the long driveway is on an incline and hard to navigate with a non 4 WD if only a small amount of snow / ice settles in. Please reach out to your host with any questions prior to planning your trip.

Interaction with Guests:
Your host lives and works in Woodland Park, about 20 minutes away. She is easy to reach via Airbnb messaging system or by text or phone call for emergencies. Phone number is available post booking.

Cabin in the CO

Everything you could have needed plus more was available. We wanted to grill some steaks and the manager quickly replied to let us know what type of grill and that they had some charcoal on the property. Then when I went to cook it had a stocked spice area which was unexpected. The cabin had a beautiful Christmas tree which made it still feel feel like the Holidays.

Great mountain getaway

Stayed with a group of 9 adults and we had a great time. The house was well described and perfect for what we were looking for. The tips for backing up the driveway were clutch, as we're the portable space heaters that came in handy! The property was well maintained and the hosts were very easy to get a hold of and super responsive. Would highly recommend!

Great relaxing stay

My wife and I stayed with our 2 dogs while doing some work in Colorado Springs. It was a very relaxing and lovely home to stay in. It helped make the trip not feel like a work trip at all!

Born and raised in Romania, I moved to US in my early twenties. I travelled and lived in many states since but felt a deep connection with beautiful Colorado and especially the Rockies and decided to catch roots over here. Being able to share this piece of heaven with guests from all over the country and abroad is what I love most about hosting.
