Scenic Riverfront Retreat – Experience the Magic of Spring in Estes Park

Welcome spring in all its glory at our peaceful riverfront escape, nestled on the banks of the Big Thompson River just outside Estes Park. Surrounded by majestic snow-capped peaks, budding wildflowers, and the soothing sounds of flowing water, this private retreat is your perfect home base for relaxation, adventure—and even some world-class fly fishing.

The Space
Our cozy mountain home is designed to bring the outdoors in. The wrap-around deck is perfect for soaking up the fresh alpine air, sipping morning coffee by the river, or stargazing at night. Inside, the sunlit Great Room features soaring ceilings, a wall of windows, and panoramic views of the river and surrounding wilderness.

Each bedroom offers its own stunning view—from mossy rock formations and towering pines to sun-dappled aspens—making every morning a serene experience. Relax by the fireplace with a puzzle or good book, enjoy a warm drink in the spring sunshine, or unwind to the calming sounds of the river and birdsong.

Outdoor Oasis
Step out to the secluded back patio and immerse yourself in nature. Spot playful wildlife, listen to birdsong, and bask in the warmth of spring sunbeams filtering through the trees. In the evenings, gather outdoors for stargazing under the mountain sky.

Prime Fly Fishing Location
Just steps from your door, the Big Thompson River offers excellent spring fly fishing. Cast your line into the clear, cool waters and try your luck catching brown and rainbow trout—whether you're a seasoned angler or trying fly fishing for the first time, the river provides a peaceful and rewarding experience.

Guest Access
Guests have full access to the home (excluding a utility room beneath the house). The third bedroom is an open loft with a full-size bed, creating a cozy nook for rest. Additional sleeping options include a sleeper sofa in the living room, a futon in the master bedroom, and a pack ’n play—comfortably accommodating up to five extra guests.

What to Do
Spring is a breathtaking time in Estes Park and nearby Rocky Mountain National Park. Trails come alive with wildflowers and wildlife—from elk and deer to the occasional bear awakening from hibernation. Hike scenic paths, enjoy early-season whitewater rafting, go horseback riding, try mountain biking, or spend your days casting a line in the river.

Prefer a laid-back pace? Discover local shops, art galleries, and cafés in town, or tour the historic Stanley Hotel. Take a drive along Trail Ridge Road (seasonal) for unforgettable mountain vistas.

Why You’ll Love It
Whether you’re chasing mountain adventures, fly fishing from your backyard, or simply soaking in the peaceful rhythm of the river, our scenic retreat offers the perfect setting to relax, recharge, and experience the best of spring in Colorado.

Enjoyed our escape to Estes

We had an absolutely wonderful and cozy stay! Great communication. Great accommodations. Great location. The kitchen was stocked with all necessities for cooking. The views are great and the home rests in a very peaceful setting. I loved sitting on the deck (and next to the open windows in the LR) to hear the sounds of the water.

Love the sound of the rushing river!

The host was an excellent communicator, and even volunteered to connect us with a fishing guide. The multi-level property is built into a hill right above the Big Thompson River, and there are stairs down to the river where you can fish for rainbow and brown trout from their property. Well equipped and nicely furnished.

Nice house, no AC

Love the location and river access. The property itself is commensurate with the cost. Our kids enjoyed the property also. Everything was in working order. Only complaint would be that we booked bc the listing said Air Conditioning. There was no AC. That was our main reason for booking. And initially the host was very responsive but never did get replies back for our early check-in or AC question (upon arrival).
