This two bedroom, 2.5 bath well appointed luxury townhouse is located in the gated complex of Monte Alto in the La Cala Golf Resort. The complex is a 9 km drive to the Beach/Mediterranean coast and walking distance to 4 golf courses, the 4.5 Star La Cala Hotel/Spa and 4 hotel restaurants. There are 2 communal swimming pools, both with separate children's wading pools. The house has underground parking, with a private garage, aircon and free WIFI.
I have listed my property for 6 Guests. However, the beds for Guests 5 and 6 are only suitable for toddlers or small children. There are two Ottomans located in the Living Room that can be converted to Fold-up Cots (80cm x 180cm). Photos of these Fold-up Cots can be seen in the "Living Room". These Ottomans are small enough that they could be carried upstairs to the bedroom floor, if desired. Groups larger than 4 Guests will be considered for suitability, on a case-by-case basis in conjunction with the Host.
The space
On the ground floor, you will find a fully equipped kitchen with small terrace and a Weber gas BBQ. Through to the lounge/dining area, there is a dining space available for 6 people, a leather L shaped sofa with electric recliner, a Smart TV with international channels and a wood burner for the cooler winter months. Leading out from the lounge is the terrace/garden. The covered part of the terrace has a lounge seating area with coffee table and glass curtain wall giving the option to have an Indoor or Outdoor terrace. There is a further terrace area which is open and partly grassed, with a sun lounger. There is a WC on this floor.
Up to the 1st floor you can find the 2 bedrooms. The Master Bedroom has a European King size bed (200cm x 160cm Mattress), fitted wardrobes, en-suite bathroom (toilet, bidet, Jacuzzi bathtub with shower attachment) and access to a private balcony with sun loungers (x2) and table/bar stool seating for a couple.
The Guest Bedroom benefits from 2 single beds (which can be converted into one larger bed), fitted wardrobes, an en-suite shower room and access to a small balcony/terrace area with a traditional mosaic tile table and seating.
Each of the two bedrooms are fitting with electric shutters for a perfect night's sleep!
At basement level you can access the private, secure garage space in the underground parking garage and also access to the two swimming pool areas.

Our property is located about a 10 - 12 minute drive from many shops, stores, amenities, and restaurants in "La Cala de Mijas" (there are a few restaurants at the La Cala Hotel and there is "Restaurante El Jinete" close to resort entrance). There are a couple of restaurants (Kudu and El Soto) and a small convenience store (Minimarket La Casita) in "La Mairena" which is about a 7 minute drive away.
Options for transportation would include:
1. Rental Car. We would recommend Malagacar (near Malaga Airport) who provide good quality cars at reasonable prices and include unlimited mileage and a second driver for FREE. We would also recommend the "Full Pack" coverage option.
2. Use UBER or BOLT apps to take a taxi to the Fuengirola Train & Bus Stations (which are both located near the intersection of "Paseo Jesús Santos Rein" and "Calle Alfonso XIII"). From there you can pretty much access any corner of Spain (or Europe) on train or bus. The UBER/BOLT taxi cost is usually between 17 - 20 Euros, each direction. Alternatively, you can take UBER/BOLT down to numerous Bus Stops in La Cala de Mijas, if you know which bus route you need to catch. The main Bus Stop in La Cala de Mijas is at intersection of "Calle Torrox" and "Bulevar de la Cala" and is about a 12 to 14 Euro UBER ride.
3. We can arrange a professional "Private Chauffeur" if you don't want to drive and just want to sit back and enjoy the magnificent scenery of Southern Spain. Prices vary based on distance covered, etc. I can provide recommendations on a Private Chauffeur that has been vetted by our Property Management Company "HomeCare"
4. Cycling. Southern Spain has some amazing biking routes and people from all over the world come to do mountain biking and road cycling here. I will say though that biking is not setup as well as Copenhagen or Sweden, so Be Careful.
