It was our 4th time staying here. We love the location, privacy and outdoor hot tub in the winter months! Owners are very accommodating and responsive.
The home was perfect for our family! Alison and Brian were amazing with communication and the jacuzzi was the cherry on top. Everything you could think of was included in the house from family games, movies, to even towels just for the jacuzzi. One of our favorite things was sitting by the cozy fire in living room each night. So peaceful!
Cute and cozy place. Can walk to Ski Brule if you want you’re so close. Hot tub was an added bonus. Having WiFi was nice being the service is spotty once you’re outside.
We love staying here! This was our third time. It’s a lovely private location that is still close enough to town (to run for pasties or other necessities). Our stay was quiet and peaceful. The hot tub was clean and we spent a lot of time there in both day and night. The view of the night sky from the hot tub is phenomenal. We didn’t use the fireplace, but did turn the heat on at night. The thermostats’ numbers were misleading and the first night we ended up too warm, but keeping them about 60 kept us comfortable. The kitchen had all the utensils and pans we needed and the coffee maker worked fine too. The bed was very comfortable, I slept very well and have been searching for a similar mattress topper for our bed! We had a very nice stay, and look forward to coming back.
Edelweiss is a charming chalet.
Accommodations were comfortable for our party of five.
Kids loved using the hot tub, one cool summer evening.
Love that Iron County repaved Brule Mtn Rd; had been the absolute worst road I had ever driven on prior to repair.
With cooler temperatures during stay, would have used campfire pit but
- was filled with water (can holes be added for drainage and reducing smoke?)
- no area seating (to seat 6 - 8)
Regards,
We loved this cozy cabin nestled into the pines! So darling!!! Hot tub was dreamy!!! Ideal location to be able to easily enjoy the ski hill!! We’ll be back!
We had a lovely stay at the cozy ski chalet. It was perfect for our weekend getaway. The hot tub worked great. And the proximity to the ski slope was wonderful. Thank you!
This was our first trip to the U.P. The place was perfect for a our family of 4. Cozy, nice hot tub, close to the hill. Wi-Fi was spotty, but that’s to be expected up north. Overall great place to stay.
We stayed 3 nights for our 24th Anniversary. Perfect location to access Ski Brulee and zip into Iron River for anything you may need. The cabin had a very well stocked kitchen. The Queen bed was very comfortable and the hot tub was private and truly the cherry on top! Highly recommend this property. Thanks for a great stay.
We’ve enjoyed the proximity to the ski hill and out door hot tub tucked in amongst the trees so much we have visited 3 times in winter. It’s a quaint cabin, always cleanly and easy to check in/out of. Only thing that would have made our stay better would have been a Packer playoff victory.
My family enjoyed this cabin. We loved the location being so close to Ski Brule and watching the NYE fireworks from the warmth of the hot tub. Our only downside was we could not get the fireplace to work even with the instructions manual. We will for sure be staying again.
We stayed in this cozy cabin for our 1st family ski trip. We had a blast. Check-in and check-out process was super easy. Location was prime! Hot tube was a perfect way to end our long days of skiing. Plenty of towels, games to play, and space to make fun family memories.
The only issue we had was the heat. All the thermostats were set at 50 and there was posted instructions not to turn off but we couldn’t get the cabin to actually cool off. It felt like 80+ degrees in there. We dealt with it and felt good at times.
We’d rent again!
all worked out well. we found a dead chipmunk under one of the single beds, been there awhile. I disposed in the trash. location great, walked to the ski area for dinner one night. weather was a bit unexpected for December, but that one is always a wildcard. plumbing, electric, and heat all worked fine. maybe come back next year.
If you're looking to go to Ski Brule, this is a great little cabin. It's very close to the main lodge (probably not walkable with gear in the winter, but literally a 2 min drive). It's also not right in the heart of all the cottages at Brule, so it's nice and quiet with nothing but trees in the back yard! Although the bathroom/kitchen are dated - it's maintained well and everything is clean. It's well-stocked with everything you'd need in a kitchenk, plus so many towels for both the bathroom and plenty of extras for the hot tub! Check-in/out was clear and easy and the only question I had was answered very quickly. Cabin was toasty warm too. Would definitely stay here again!
We travel simple and the bedrooms, bathrooms and kitchen had all we needed, esp working coffee. Comfy beds, great hot tub, bathroom good order. The place can get warm and the temp can't be touched so we learned quickly to crack the windows.
The owners were wonderful helping me quickly overcome a few hurdles and I'm so thankful! New hot tub cover arrived on out way out, needed, old one was quite heavy and almost too hard to move. Loved watching wildlife every morning and little trips around the UP from 30 min to 2 hrs gets you a lot! Even in a snow covered end of March. We will be back. From St. Louis, 1st time in UP.
We had a great time at SkiBrule, and this place checked all of the boxes for us.
