We stayed in cottage #1 on the water. It was perfect for 4 friends. Plenty of room, nice outdoor seating, beautifully lit up outside. There was a large fire pit. We were next door to the Ferry. A fun free ride to Bemus Point. We didn’t have a boat but we enjoyed the dock. A short walk to a lovely ice cream shop, a convenience store,a produce stand, & a walking trail.
My husband and I went for a spontaneous weekend getaway. We found the right spot to put our Kayaks in the water because
of the beach right there. You can hop on Ferry to Bemus point. Place was nicely done inside. Newer and comfortable. The grass needed cut and more wood would have been nice. Everyone bought some which was nice. You share the firepit. It doesn't have a screen door on patio or main door for a nice Lake breeze. Maybe they can add that. And spray for the webs all around. All and all I recommend cabin 1#!!

We recently stayed in this cabin while visiting family. It is right on the lake, and check in process was easy. The grounds of the property had some pretty flowers around, but parking lot was very small, and there are a couple of storage buildings on the property which were dilapidated and unsightly. The outside of the property also smelled of garbage terribly.
The cabin is exactly that, a cabin. Not really a modern tiny house. Tons, and I mean TONS of cobwebs inside. Multiple spiders inside. I get that it’s a lakeside cabin, but probably the grounds need to be sprayed for spiders.
The property is right next to the Stow Ferry and across the lake from the Casino which played music into the night. Fun for some, but not really for a family with young children.
There is a “loft” that has an area rug only, no furniture.
Water has a yellow hue, so pack bottled water to make your morning coffee!
We probably wouldn’t stay here again.
We loved staying at the Cottages at Stow. The location was perfect - close to everything you would want to do while at Chautauqua - and the property was clean and well maintained. I have been visiting Chautauqua since I was a kid and this is one of the best places I have stayed at.
The tiny house was extremely clean and modern. We loved the little beach and firepit area. We didn’t realize that some of the cottages are being renovated and not being rented out, so we had the beach all to ourselves! We appreciated the staff leaving the canopy up so my sister and I could sit under it while my nephew swam in the rain! We are definitely planning a trip back.
We had a wonderful visit at this tiny house on the lake. Beautiful views. The house itself was open and spacious.
Ended up we had a few tag alongs and it easily accommodated 6 adults.
We will be back again! PS: You can fish from the beach.
