Calling it a cabin is an understatement. It was a beautiful home with a beautiful view and brand new interior. We had a great time. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen immaculate and the bathrooms, luxurious. No complaints. Only suggestion? Nightlights. It is dark in the country.
We decided to take a trip to dig for diamonds at the Crater of Diamonds. The Gemstone seemed very fitting for that trip. It was me, my husband, 15 year old daughter and one of her friends. The cabin setup was perfect. The location was convenient to everything!
We went to the Diamond mine and actually found one! Played cornhole, sat in the fire pit area, walked down to the pond area, just generally relaxed and enjoyed ourselves. A wonderful getaway!
We came to town to visit the Diamond mind and the location to the park and to town was perfect. The town square is super cute with a variety of restaurants and shops. The house was roomy and comfortable and very well refurbished. We enjoyed the outdoor space including fire pit for roasting marshmallows and playing bags.
Really cute little cabin nestled among 3 or 4 similar cabins. It was clean and cool and was updated. It had a great living space that was large enough for lots of people gathering. The bedrooms were spacious and comfy. Everything was great. The only thing missing was water in the pond but I would stay again regardless. Close to the Crater and fishing which is what we came for. There is no grocery store in town. There are a few restaurants and a couple of convenience stores. Cute little place.
Beautiful countryside, lovely remodel. Great place to stay picking up our Kids from Camp Ozark. Bring coffee though. The only latte in town is at the five and dime store. Little Mexican restaurant was tasty!
We'll be back
They new cabins were very clean and welcoming. The outdoor area was nicely done. Our only issue was that the light switches were very confusing. We were able to see and do everything we wanted. It was in a great location to lots of the attractions.
This property is AMAZING! My husband and I stayed with our 2 boys (9 and 12). The location is perfect. The home was spotless upon our arrival. We loved sitting out making smores by the fire in the evening. Absolutely glorious! If we make out to Arkansas again, this home is a MUST! We enjoyed every second of the peace and quiet at this home. It was well stocked with anything we needed. 10/10 for sure! Thank you for an amazing stay!
I can’t recommend this property enough. It is just outside of town, beautifully decorated, well maintained and so comfortable. This is the type of place that makes you feel like you are coming home instead of visiting for a night or two. The property owner/manager is incredibly responsive to emails and was so nice to work with. Definitely give this place a visit if you are in town!
We absolutely loved the cabin. It was clean, well maintained, and the inside was beautiful and spacious. The outside was a dream and it was so quiet you could sit on the back porch for hours. We will most certainly stay there again if we travel back that way.
We stayed at the Gemstone for 3 nights, and enjoyed every minute. There were so many amenities that were so well thought out - from the blackout blinds, a small portable lantern for night time exploring or power outages, to the cute table on the back deck to hold sporting equipment. We also loved the big kitchen table for meals and our games every night.
We had a fantastic 4 night stay. It was the perfect location for us to go visit crater of diamonds, hot springs, and the little Missouri River. The hosts thought of everything we would need and had quick responses when we had questions. We will definitely be booking to stay again!
The location of the property is convenient to town and access to Diamond Crater Park is easy. The town is very quaint and has a lot of history and shops to check out.
The cabin is laid out as pictured with plenty of accessories in the Cabin to make it feel like home.
Be prepared as there are a lot of bugs outside, So keep your bug spray handy.
It’s very relaxing and you really get a feel of nature and the sounds are incredible that come from the property and the pond Insects and animals.
We have plenty of room Our dog was very comfortable and enjoyed being able to walk around the property safely.
All in all, we agreed that it would be lovely to come back to this area and vacation again At the same location.
There’s several more cabins located at the same location and I would recommend either of them for your next vacation stay.
The Gemstone cabin was amazing!
This cabin was like new! Everything spotless and so many nice touches! Dishes and games/pack and play if you have kids. Outdoor area is nice with fire pit and more. Bed was super comfy, high quality linens. All around excellent! Highly recommend!
Girls long weekend. We enjoyed the quietness of our cabin. We were able to get out and explore. We dug for diamonds, visited hot springs for a day trip the back to the cabin for relaxation. We would highly recommend staying at the gem stone.
I was impressed with the exterior and interior. This was perfect for family. My wife lounged with the dogs and watched movies while the kids and I worked at the diamond mine all day. At night it was very peaceful we enjoyed s’mores at the fire pit sitting and looking thru the centers we brought back that day. Would definitely go back
