My fiancé and I spent one night here in this cute little cabin while we were visiting my family in the area. The hosts were accommodating to our late check-in but our correspondences weren’t as quick as they probably should have been. We did arrive in the very dark of night and the cabin was quite difficult to locate as it is below the road level. The driveway is also something to be avoided for most people without a high clearance vehicle and 4wd. I would recommend the host move the parking to road level and have a walking path or stairs going down. I also am a little upset about the extra charges. Especially the cleaning fee as we were only there for less than 10 hours and quite literally used the bed and restroom.

We rented the cabin for one week, July 13 through the 20th. When we first arrived, it was like driving through the setting for one of the “Wrong Turn” movies. When we arrived at the cabin I found the front and back doors would stick so tightly that my pregnant wife could not open them. During our stay, we had to kill four or five roaches. The refrigerator door would only open halfway before it jammed on the floor. The wood around the kitchen window is rotted. The pots and pans in the kitchen were scorched and sticky to the touch. We only stayed four of the seven scheduled nights. We returned to the cabin the evening of the 17th and found there was no electricity. I had assumed it was a normal outage. After calling the local power company I was informed the power had been disconnected for nonpayment. When I tried to reach the owner, I got hold of the property manager. I informed them of the power situation and they said they would look into it. In the meantime I was forced to find a hotel over 30 minutes away to stay for the duration of my trip. I requested a refund through the property manager. I was told they would look into it and have not heard a word from them over five days. This is the worst rental I have ever experienced! I travel frequently and this is the worst experience I’ve ever had.
