Experience quaint Wellfleet in this clean, well kept, 3 bdr 2 bath home surrounded by nature,. Enjoy cathedral knotted pine ceilings in the living room. The first floor has a fully appointed open space kitchen with plenty of counter space leading into a dining area and living room. Step out from the living room to an over-size deck for outdoor dining. This home is literally a few minutes away from the ocean, bay side beaches, and freshwater ponds! There is plenty of room for a trailered boat with a convenient bay side boat launch 3/4 mile down the road and another one couple miles to the Wellfleet marina. Comfortably sleeps 6 with a queen bed in the master bedroom and downstairs has 2 bedrooms with 2 twin beds each plus an extra cot. Newly installed outdoor shower

The charm of Wellfleet: Just a few minutes drive from this secluded location the town center has art galleries, shops and restaurants. Wellfleet harbor is a constantly changing panorama of sailboats, motor yachts, sport fishing boats and trawlers. Some of Cape Cod's finest ocean surf casting are found here. Also well-known for its plentiful supply of shellfish, including the famous 'Wellfleet Oyster'. Take a ride on the Cape Cod Bike Rail Trail. The trail follows a former 1800's railroad right-of-way for 22 wide paved surface miles (the trail is only a 1/2 mile away from home) Make sure to stop along the trail and visit the beaches, ponds or have lunch. Don't forget to check out the largest Flea Market on the cape. For a family night out step back in time and visit Wellfleet's 1950’s style Drive-In Cinema or head to the Beachcomber nightclub for drinks, food and dancing.

Perfect house for our needs

My husband and son and I had a week at this wonderfully comfortable house. It is quiet and close to everything we wanted to do (ponds, town, gym in Eastham). Frank was a responsive and kind host. The kitchen was well stocked and had cookware that was a joy to use (I am so tired of finding scratched Teflon in rental houses). The gas grill had gas ready to go. There were nice touches like the flower boxes that attracted hummingbirds. We had a great time both at the house and in Wellfleet.

Lovely house at the marsh!

The homey property was in a great location- woodsy with a hint of that wonderful smelling salty marsh air. The owner was so nice to deal with-pleasant, helpful and responsive. It was sad to leave!

WellFleet GetAway

My wfe and I and three young adult daughters really enjoyed our stay. The accommodations were what we expected, a little like camp, but better. We loved the wooded privacy, the outdoor shower and plenty of room. The location was most convenient and the host was responsive. We plan on returning next year!

Recommend place to stay.

Loved the location of the house - easy to find (even in the dark). Had a little snafu with the TV but Frank came to the rescue - he was quick to respond to our call and we found the “right” remotes to operate the TV. Listing stated a hairdryer but there wasn’t one to be found and again Frank told us to get one and he’d Venmo the cost and “quick” it was done. House is perfect for families or couples - would recommend it to others. My friend was from CO and had never been to the Cape and found it charming. Thanks! Hope to come back again.

Loved it

We had a great time during our 10 day vacation at Cape Cod. We loved the house, its not fancy but very cozy and comfortable. The location was perfect (we went to the French bakery almost every day). Communication with the owner was quick and easy. Would definitely recommend!

Fun in South Wellfleet

We had a wonderful time! We loved the location and that actual lot where the house sits. Plenty of space and lovely big trees. What sets this house apart from others are the back deck and the outdoor shower. We loved sitting out on the large deck for breakfast and lunch and at night while watching the moon rising through the trees. And, the outdoor shower after the beach was a real delight. Go and have a good time!

Great overall with a few caveats

We enjoyed our stay as the property was very functional and in a great location! The new outdoor shower was a huge plus, especially with 2 toddlers. However, although clean the basement rooms had a ton of cobwebs and spiders as if someone hadn’t stayed there in a while or it wasn’t dusted appropriately. This was easily fixed but a more thorough cleaning in the future would be great! As some other guests have noted there was a slight damp/musty odor in the basement but it was not strong and by the second day of our stay we no longer noticed it whenever we went in the basement. Also, although we brought all our own linens and towels there were no oven mitts or pot holders in the kitchen which made cooking difficult, it would’ve been nice to know so that we could have brought some. Other than these few slight annoyances we greatly enjoyed our stay and found the home to provide everything we needed. The location, space, deck, and backyard were all greatly enjoyed!!

Wonderful home away from home!

We had a truly wonderful 2 week stay. Plenty of room for our family of 4. The home is configured perfectly with 2 bedrooms and a full bathroom downstairs and the master bedroom and bathroom upstairs. The deck was so inviting and relaxing. Yoga on the deck in the morning and glass of wine in the evening. Situated just perfectly to plenty of beaches, the bike trail, restaurants, etc. One more thing - very safe neighborhood where I walked everyday of our vacation. Thank you!

Escape Hatch Review

Property worked but might want to consider providing linens and towels including kitchen towels. Also the sewage smell from water way behind home was prominent for a few days. This may be weather related. The deck with awning was great. Also appreciated the air conditioning.

Fun and Restful week in Wellfleet

We loved the house. The kitchen in well appointed. The outdoor shower is perfect. The layout of the house worked out well with grown ups bedroom upstairs and teens downstairs so our different sleep schedules didn't affect each other. The owner was extremely responsive with questions that came up during the week.

Stay during 8/24 -8/31

Key box code wouldn't work when I arrived there on Saturday. I tried for 30 minutes. Had to stay at friends about an hour away on Saturday night. Went back on Sunday after looking on the website for a way to contact the property manager. After contacting him, he realized that I was given the wrong code. He gave me the corrected code and I was able to access the house. We had stayed there last year and had a great time so it was a little disappointing this year to have the prblem with the key box.

Clean, relaxing and great location

We loved our stay. Four adults two teenage boys. We all had enough room. Great having two bathrooms and laundry. We have been going to the cape for years especially Wellfleet. The nice neighbors brought over fresh eggs! Outdoor shower for after the beach and a wonderful deck with grill and a hammock. Will definitely stay here again.

Overall good experience but basement musty

Home is clean and well maintained. Quiet location apart from rooster crowing next door. Basement very musty and bedrooms there uninhabitable due to odor. Kitchen nice but could use more frying pans. Advertised as having bicycles but we were told they were not safe to use.

The cabin itself was very cute and homey. Loved the hammock!

The only problem I had with this rental was the beds. It was like sleeping in a jail. The beds were like planks!! All of them, got so bad considered sleeping on the pull out couch but that was like sleeping on bars . Unless the beds were updated I would not rent again.
