June vacation on Moose Pond

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay on Moose Pond! We swam, fished and kayaked. Our family included a four year old who enjoyed the toys made available by the owner. He particularly loved the ride on sand digging toy!

Beautiful house, nice grounds and large deck. We loved the sandy beach and boating accommodations, but it would have been nice to have the floating dock.

Winter family vacation

Great house for a family vacation! Well equipped with everything we needed. Plenty of instructions for heating, electronics etc. Rooms were comfortable and the extra game room in the basement was the perfect place to hang out after a day of skiing. Host was very helpful with extra information before an expected snow storm, letting us know what to do if we lost power. We got lots of snow and the power stayed on. The house was in a great location for a week of skiing and just a short drive into town.

Beautiful Lakehouse Property

My family and I had a wonderful stay. This house is perfect. Great location and easy to get to. We had six adults and three dogs, and there was more than enough space for everyone. We spent most of our time outside enjoying the lake, canoeing, kayaking and fishing. Brought a 21’ center console boat, and dock had enough space to fit. Easy access to the town boat launch. Kitchen was well stocked for cooking and we had some great meals and evening campfires. Everyone absolutely loved the place and we will be back again (assuming we don’t buy our own lake camp before then)! Had so much fun that we’ve all been doing research since the stay. Hosts were incredibly friendly and helpful. So many things provided for entertainment and outdoor use. Thank you so much for letting us borrow your beautiful property for a week!

PERFECT FOR US

Highly recommend this place – this was clearly one of the best lake houses my family has rented in years. The location was great, at the foot of Shawnee Peak on Moose Pond, which is a quiet place to swim or boat. Bridgton is not far away, so you can make a quick run for groceries, lobsters, or a nice restaurant. Well decorated, the interior was comfortable and pleasant, and contained more than the average level of tools and amenities in the kitchen, which we very much appreciated as we tend to cook during our stay. Bedrooms were well-maintained and the beds were very comfortable, and we also appreciated the individual A/C units in each bedroom so we could set them each to our preferences. The game room in the basement was also great, particularly on rainy days when we played billiards, foosball, and video games. The back deck was quite large and the dining table comfortably seats eight with a great view of the beautiful landscaping and the lake. We enjoyed the very large and well-maintained fire pit – great for s’mores – as well as the open sandy beach. Also very much enjoyed all the water toys and equipment in the lake shed – made the lake all that much more fun. Only downside is that this place is popular, so you have to reserve extra early!

This place was wonderful!

This was the best place we could have stayed for our vacation. The house was perfect - it was spacious, comfortable and inviting. It had everything that we needed for our ten day stay. We spent time both indoors and out. We used the paddle boards (I fell in three times before i decided that the only way I would stay on was to sit and paddle), a double kayak and the canoe. We tried fishing but it was a little too windy and the fish weren't biting. We did enjoy paddling on Moose Pond. We had a fire in the fire pit on our last night and it was wonderful. There was plenty of wood and the seating was really comfortable. This vacation was our first family get together since the death of one of our daughters, this past spring. Everything about this home helped us to enjoy our vacation - although there were sad moments, we were able to make some really great new memories. I would definitely recommend this home for any large family or group. There is room to spare and almost everything you could need is already there. I will definitely consider staying here again, when we decide to take our next vacation! Thank you for allowing us to share your home.

Beautiful all around! Debbie B.

My family and I just spent a week at “Last Call” and it is an amazing place! At one point there were 13 of us for a couple of days (with the owner’s permission), and there was plenty of room for everyone. When we walked in, it was a WOW reaction! The house is beautiful inside and out with all the amenities imaginable. Thank goodness for all the fans in the house because it was a very humid week, and they were a tremendous help. The views from and seating on the spacious deck are awesome; the lake, landscaping, patio and fire pit area closest to the house are incredible. The game room downstairs was a hit with the kids, and they enjoyed the floating raft, canoe and kayaks too. There was ample room for parking our cars and the boat trailer. You can tell the owners put a lot of work and pride into this property. I had some questions prior to our stay, and Christine was quick to respond. Anyone who stays here won’t be disappointed. Thank you Chasse family!

Amazing home with a great location.

Thank you Christine and Jason, your home is beautiful!!. We stayed here with our children and grandchildren, and had a great time. When we arrived, Jason was at the home and greeted us. He explained everything to us about the home, the back grounds and the beach area. We brought with us, a boat, 4 kayaks and a standup board. What I didn't realize is that Christine and Jason had for our use were, kayaks, standup boards and a canoe. If anyone is looking to book this home, we highly recommend it. The only things that you need to bring with you are, food, paper products, toiletries and your linens. There was absolutely nothing else that we needed. You need a spice, I'm pretty sure that the have it. They were able to fish off the dock and the little ones had a great time, all day at the beach. This beach is perfect for the little ones, as well as the big ones Our youngest grandchild is 2 1/2 and was able to enjoy the beach and the water. To sum this week up...…….WE HAD A GREAT VACATION.!! Thank You, Loretta and Joe

Christine is an attorney and Jason manages a technology company’s business with the US Military. We have two children and two Siberian Huskies. When not renting "Last Call" we are usually there.

Why they chose this property

We both grew up in Maine and have always dreamed of owning our own lake house. We chose Moose Pond because it is a true four season getaway. In the summer, we can swim, fish and boat in its sparkling clean water or use the hiking trails just a short walk out our front door. In the winter, we can walk to ski at Shawnee Peak or x-country ski on the frozen pond. We also love the proximity to the White Mountains region of NH. In a nutshell, we are able to get away from it all here or be just a short drive to anything we want or need all year round.

What makes this property unique

Plenty of room for friends and family to be comfortable together or have alone time. Beautiful landscaping with rock ledges, flagstone paths and an abundance of flowers. Two fire pits: one at the waters edge and one up closer to the house.
