This property is like a retreat. Beautifully furnished and decorated. Spotless. The porch was a wonderful place to relax and enjoy the kayakers. Birds, turtles, deer, armadillos. A nature lover’s paradise. Wonderfully stocked kitchens and organic cleaning products. Springs close by and a fantastic host
Beautiful home with everything you need and want. We were there for Christmas, so it was a little chilly outside. Didn't get to enjoy the beautiful screened in porch or outside activities. Sure looked fun. The river is stunning and relaxing. Parking was a little tight with two bigger vehicles.
Lovely, relaxing cottage with beautiful view and close proximity to the river but privacy from neighbors. Well appointed with all the basics plus some fun recreational extras to entertain the family, such as ping pong, darts, corn hole, and fire pit. Very convenient short drive into the quaint town of High Spring. A great place to stay!
We had a great time. Beautiful views from the deck and house. Enjoyed many cups of coffee lounging on the screened in patio. Quiet area with lots to do on property.

Beautiful home with everything you need. Our hosts, Frank and Karoline, were friendly and prompt with answers to my questions.
Five stars all the way. We will be back.
Cliff notes review: Book it. If you can’t have a good time here, you can’t have a good time anywhere.Longer review: Came with hubby and son (5). Looking for something on the river. We really fell in love with this area after a trip to Postcard cabins nearby. This cabin was slightly more price-wise than the tiny Cabins at Postcard but worth every single penny. (And of course way more space). Both my husband and I were so impressed with the interior of the cabin and porch. You feel like you are living in a magazine. Also my son just could not stop saying how awesome it is.Just perfect. We took full advantage of the fun outside too. Lots of fun playing ping pong, horseshoes, darts, cornhole chess, the ring game, fishing so much (even caught a fish!), grilling, and hanging by the fire. My son and I played and swam at the park next door in Poe Springs one day as well. A must visit… it is so close u just have to. You could easily go everyday. We also went kayaking (bring your own) and had a blast. We got dropped off up river and floated back to the house. (About an hour from the boat ramp) You could make this an even longer trip too with other stops further down river. As we were checking out today we were already talking about planning a trip back in the Summer. We can’t wait.
River Deva is the perfect homebase for an authentic natural FL experience. The location of the river cottage on the Santa Fe River at the end of a (well-maintained) dirt road ensures a quiet, private, rural retreat. Many enjoyable hours were spent on the large screened (a requirement in FL!) porch overlooking the river and the unusual tree swing in the butterfly garden. The cottage itself was spotless, had comfortable furnishings, and as an extra bonus, smelled great! The kitchen had a good assortment of pots, pans, utensils, and even spices. We "ate in'' exclusively, but some good food options were available in town. We did venture into friendly High Springs briefly one afternoon and enjoyed visiting a few shops and coffee at Colsie's. In addition to being close to Poe Springs, the trails of Gilchrist, Ichetucknee and O'Leno State Park were just a short drive away. Communication with Frank and Karoline was great and we appreciated their recommendations.
We are already working to schedule our next visit this spring for more river therapy!
