About this property
Spread out and breathe across from the beach!
This property was built in 1938. This property includes two structures: 1- Main house w/ 3 bedrooms(King, Queen and Full), full bath with a shower upstairs, 1/2 bath downstairs, living room, open kitchen and dining rooms, & sun room. Second structure: "The Camp", formerly a garage, has a king bed upstairs in the open area with a kitchenette, a small table, work desk, and private (toilet). Downstairs: shower, two bunks, a double bed and couch. House has AC mini split; Camp has 2 portable AC.
Outdoor area consists of the large outdoor shower with a metal roof, a substantial yard for playing, and a large deck with a new Weber grill. The Beach Market is next door for sandwiches and salads, and within walking distance are the Garage restaurant and Clambake. We get our Lobsters at Bayley's down the street. The gourmet kitchen allows easy prep work for the daily meals with and evening chit chat on the stools at the peninsula.
Please note- the property is best suited for adults or families with kids a little older than 5 as it does not have a tub and they must be mature enough to navigate the bunk beds and make their way upstairs to the toilet. The house is not child-proofed in any way and the stairs are steep.
The Space
The two structures enable a family to spread out and enjoy their vacation without everyone crammed together in one place. The camp is very cozy but quirky; the king bed upstairs is visible when those staying downstairs come up to use the water closet. Three to four couples could easily spread out and enjoy the whole property. Or two couples with kids. The laundry is in the ancient cellar of the main house so older folks may have a difficult time navigating the narrow stairs. The deck is large and has a bistro table for two as well as a large dining table for 6, plus room to scoot the other chairs over.
All areas are accessible except for the boats/kayaks.
Before approximately May 15 and after Oct 15 (weather dependent), this listing includes just the house and all outdoor areas due to the lack of heat in the outbuilding. You will be able to enjoy the back deck and yard. The outdoor shower will only be available when it is warm enough to turn on the seasonal water supply. King beds are Casper mattresses.
