Sunset Beach Resort is located 2.5 miles/4 km south of the town core, which means you are away from the crowds yet still within easy reach of everything. In the neighborhood we have:

--Suya Tour operator (1 minute walk)
--Marin’s, a small grocery store (2 minute walk)
--A few good restaurants (4-15 minute walk)

And there are more shopping, restaurant & entertainment options on the way to & in town, which is not far away!

The Belize Barrier Reef, the longest in the western hemisphere, is very close to shore making the area ideal for scuba diving, snorkeling and fishing; other water sports are also popular!

It's easy to take a day trip to the mainland to visit Maya sites such as Altun Ha and Lamanai; or to observe some of the 500 species of birds found in Belize and/or catch a glimpse of monkeys, manatees and crocodiles in the wild!

Once booked, I’ll send you a website link with further information on the condos, the resort, and the area. And of course I’m happy to answer any questions at all via email or phone!

In addition, we can help with island flights, golf carts, tours, etc, plus of course while you are there our on site staff can help with any questions or issues that may arise.

An onsite staff person will meet you for check-in & to provide you with a key; we will need to know your island arrival plans (& would be happy to help with the logistics!) in advance in order to facilitate this.

Notes:
-One complimentary housecleaning for each 10 days booked
-Pack 'N' Play available upon request

Perfect Christmas family vacation

We have stayed at Sunset Beach Resort before. This year we rented two condos so we could bring all of our kids. This condo was great. And the property is awesome. The property manager, Jason, is truly the best. Barbara is thorough, and a great communicator, you know all your details before you arrive. We highly recommend this property.

Trip of a lifetime

My husband and I arrived on 4/9/16 to a two week stay to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary. Everything was totally smooth in that Judy (one amazing lady, just love her) took care of all the arrangements including our flights on Tropic Air. We were picked up at the airport and taken to the condo. The condo was great, exactly as pictured on the VRBO site and had everything you could want or need. Location was perfect, away from the hustle and noise of the city but still just a short golf cart ride away. By the way, a golf cart is a must if you plan on exploring the island which you absolutely should. Chapin, the caretaker was super friendly and helpful. We did everything . . . and then some. Bone fishing with Abner Marin from Gofishbelize was the pinnacle of the trip for my husband who is an avid fisherman. If you want the best fishing experience of your life, go with Abby. He is also a super cool person to spend the day with. Reef fishing, snorkeling, trip to Lamanai (if you are a history buff at all don't miss this) & swimming with sharks. Ramon's was the best place to book all your trips they were fantastic. If you catch fresh fish, take it to Pineapples at Ramons and they will fix you the most fantastic meal for $10US per person and the view from their dining area is fabulous. OK, so now for more good stuff . . . the food. Oh my! If you know where to go you will get the most amazing food and can eat for about $15 a day if you are on a really tight budget. There are a couple of upscale restaurants that are really pricey, but you can get food just as good at other places for half the price. Must visit: Robin's chicken (absolutely the best jerked chicken and sides ever) $7.00 US per person. For ceviche - go to Caliente's HUGE servings of really super fresh ceviche for about $14.00 US, Neri's taco place where all the locals eat you can literally stuff yourself for less than $5US. Must go to the Truck Stop on the northern end of the island. Super cool place with three different food venues (Latin, Asian & home made ice cream). On Wednesday nights they have movie night outside under the stars (we saw Monty Python and the Holy Grail)Corn hole, horseshoes and firepit. And go to Mesa Cafe in town for coconut french toast, oh my. Deb Bennett the condo owner was great to work with and you will love Judy when she comes to see you. Could write pages and pages but this should at least give you some idea. Go, see, do and enjoy! Joni

Beautiful view!

This was my third time staying in a condo at Sunset. The property is very well maintained and close to downtown San Pedro and many great restaurants. The staff is very helpful getting you bikes, kayaks, a taxi, or arranging excursions. All the units are very clean and spacious with comfortable furniture and great air conditioners. Highly recommend!

This property is exactly as great as the pics show!

It's hard for me to write this review because it's making me sad that my trip is over. I found myself calling A2 "home". The condo is perfect. The staff is so kind and caring. The condo has all you really need. I stayed for 3 weeks. I left for a short stint on the mainland but found myself "ready to get home" my temporary "home" on the Caye. I loved meeting the other guests as well! Some I made friends with and we all went out for a snorkel one day up north! The complex is quiet. I was there in low season so had the place to myself often. I was primarily traveling alone and Barbara and Rosa were my life lines! From travel glitches to changing plans, they saw to it that all was arranged and managed. I really can't see myself staying anywhere else in the Caye and I explored the whole thing while there. Big shout out to the staff, Juan Carlos, Chopin, Janet and Manolo. My tribe while I was there!

Great Place!

Sunset Beach Resort in San Pedro was exactly as described and everyone was incredibly friendly and helpful. It was a nice quiet relaxing vacation with a great pool, pavilion, and the view ever. Hammocks in Palm Trees, kayaking, and bicycling, and even a handy water entry at the end of the dock to snorkel around, gave us plenty of things to do and enjoy. The condo was perfect for two and could have held a couple of more if needed, but for my wife and I it was ideal. We spent a lot of time relaxing, reading, and cooking local foods. Great place. Highly Recommend for anyone looking for a beach and sea view, who likes to hang out on the property rather than spend a lot of time in town. We loved driving the golf cart into town for scuba, shopping, and just sightseeing too.

A week in paradise

Beachside property with about 18 condos of different sizes. Very well maintained. Our 1 bedroom condo was just right for our needs. Woke up every AM to see the sunrise over the Caribbean. Very comfortable queen-sized bed, very functional bathroom with walk-in shower, small kitchen with all usual working appliances, drinkable tap water, very comfortable family room in the front of the unit that looks out over a small but accommodating pool and the sea beyond, about100 feet from our doorstep. We loved it. Special props to Chaplin, our caretaker of the facilities at Sunset Beach Resort. Thank you to Judy Allen and Barbara Smalley who were both very helpful every time we needed them. We were also very pleased with their recommendation for our taxi cab driver, Manola. On our way out today but hope to be back.

Relax and enjoy the quiet...

2.5 miles from town...away from the crowds and craziness....but only a 10 minute cart ride from it if you want to be in the thick of the shops, restaurants, bars, and the day-to day activities of San Pedro. Everyone in town seems to be on a mission: going to work, selling vegetables, driving any type of vehicle that moves...but never to busy to say hi or give directions. Sunset Beach is quiet, clean and has everything you need (market, tours, and swimming) within a short walk. Owners/managers are most accommodating and will arrange transportation to the island, a taxi and a golf cart which makes everything easier after you've spent all day traveling. Tourist bars/restaurants are OK but not much different from U.S. Much more fun to hit the local neighborhood haunts, buy fish off the dock, and explore the back roads. Tour to Mayan Ruins was a highlight.

I've lived most of my life in the U.S. but have also lived for a couple of months to up to two years in different countries: Germany, Spain, Australia, Colombia, Ecuador, Mexico & Belize. Since 2011 I've been living a somewhat nomadic lifestyle while exploring, working & volunteering in new & old places -- it's a great way to keep learning!

During my travels I met a couple who owned rentals in Cartagena, Colombia, & Ambergris Caye, Belize, vacation rentals I'm listing. From that more owners have asked me to help them out with their rentals & I've fallen into doing something that I love -- helping people like you with their travels. Let me help you with your dream vacation!
