About this property
Cabin Retreat Between Marshall and Hot Springs! Firepit, Creek, Pure Bliss!
Escape to the serenity of this recently renovated log cabin in Marshall, ideally situated between Asheville and Hot Springs. Whether you're seeking a romantic stay or an adventurous getaway for up to four guests, this cozy cabin offers the perfect setting. Immerse yourself in the beauty of nature as you explore nearby attractions such as white water rafting, fly fishing, skiing, hiking trails, and horseback riding adventures through the breathtaking mountains then return to your cabin retreat!
Leave behind the hustle and bustle of urban living and find solace in your serene retreat away from it all.
*Getting there*
Our cabin is tucked away in the peaceful mountain woods, which means getting here includes a winding uphill drive that turns into a one-lane gravel road with a few pull-offs along the way. It’s part of the charm—but also something to be prepared for!
Our gravel road can have potholes whether it’s rainy or dry, so expect a few bumps along the way. During wet weather, it can also get muddy and a bit more challenging to drive. While 4WD/AWD isn’t required outside of winter (I personally use a 2WD), it’s definitely recommended—especially if you're not familiar with mountain roads or if rain is in the forecast.
--Low-clearance cars are not a good idea.
--4WD/AWD is a must in the winter months in case of snow/ice.
We want you to love your stay, so please make sure you’re comfortable with a bit of an adventurous drive. We don’t offer refunds for road-related issues or concerns.
*Living Room-
Snuggle up by the fireplace on our Couch that pulls out to a full sized bed! Perfect for guests to get ultimate relaxation while watching a movie on our smart TV or to sleep on, if 4 guests will be staying.
*Kitchen & Dining-
Cook up your favorite meal in our kitchen fitted with a 4 burner gas stove, full sized refrigerator, toaster oven (no full sized oven), microwave, coffee maker, a blender, dinnerware, pots, pans and cooking utensils.
An island is situated with two bar stools and offers plenty of counter space to whip up your meals!
The dining area comfortably seats 4 and is a perfect spot to enjoy your meal while looking out into nature through the picturesque windows.
*Bedroom-
Head to the second level and fall asleep in the King bed. We supply 4 pillows so you can chose your level of comfort!
Inside, you'll find a luggage rack, full-sized mirror, iron & ironing board, and a coffee cart for waking up slow in bed(:
The bathroom is off of the master with a stand up shower and towels are provided.
*Outdoor Space-
Immerse yourself in the beauty of nature as you gather around the firepit, surrounded by majestic trees, and perhaps catch a glimpse of the local wildlife.
Just a short walk away is a beautiful, rushing creek.
**Washer and dryer are only available upon request. They are located in our basement that is unfinished and not ideal for consistent use. We are able to make this available to you if requested**

*Other things to note...*
Ingles is the closest grocery store, 25 minutes from the cabin.
We do supply WIFI fast enough for streaming but it is via satellite, so during bad weather, the WIFI can drop or slow down. Cell phone service varies by carrier but has been no issue for any prior guests!
The cabin is immersed within nature, therefore we coexist with the local critters and if doors/windows are left open, they may wander inside.
**Please note-It's a gravel road for 1.5 miles that's windy and can have potholes/muddy areas during rainy times. Please consider you and your vehicles capability to make it up the mountain.
4WD/AWD required in winter months-our road doesn't get much sun so it can ice over if cold enough.
We do not supply firewood or propane for the outdoor grill.
Heating- propane fireplace in the living room & portable electric heater
Cooling- 1 window unit upstairs, get's it cool very quick!
One dog under 50lbs is welcome with our pet fee! We understand pups are a part of our family and some hangout with us on the couch or the bed, but we ask that you keep them off of our beds and couches to protect the longevity of our furniture.
While we have a lovely outdoor space, it is not fenced so your pup will need to be on a leash.
Pets are not to be left unattended and we ask that you clean up after them outside.
We have 3 exterior cameras: One at the front door, one at the back door and one on the side of the cabin
Leave behind the hustle and bustle of urban living and find solace in your serene retreat away from it all.
