The Cottage is located in the grounds of historic Vincent Forge Mansion on the banks of French Creek. The setting is serene and bucolic with lawns going down to the river, yet grocery stores and modern amenities are only 10 minutes away. Located in Chester County, the cottage is close to Civil War battlefields, Amish Country and numerous points of interest, including nearby Phoenixville with a vibrant bar and restaurant scene. The Cottage is new barn conversion and is decorated to the highest degree of comfort with all modern amenities and a fully equipped kitchen including dishwasher. The kitchen adjoins an open living/dining room with a woodstove for cozy nights in. The living room and bedrooms all have smart TVs. On the upper level, both bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms to complement their queen beds, with linens, robes and toiletries provided. There is a washer/drier in the cottage and a powder room for convenience on the lower level. You will have private parking for 2 cars and a private patio with gas grill and firepit surrounded by gardens. Cozy cottage

The cottage was so cozy, clean and well stocked. The property has a rich history and beautiful grounds that we were able to explore. The beds were clean and comfortable. It truly felt like home away from home. We thoroughly enjoyed our time and can’t wait to return.

Calming Get Away

This is an amazing spot, and such thoughtful care has been taken to update these historic buildings. We had a lovely relaxing time and loved how easy it was to find great places to eat nearby. We also really appreciated how well stocked everything was at the house (including some groceries!) The hosts were so responsive and we can't wait to stay here again soon!

Well Done

It was definitely a cozy cottage and this owner had everything ready for us to stay . Went above and beyond by providing snacks wine and eggs for our first morning. So well thought out to anticipate our needs. I highly recommend this cottage . Beautiful property and dog friendly was the cherry on top! Thank you Lawson!!

Quiet and comfortable

We stayed at the property for a week in October. The cottage was a great place to relax and unwind between trips to visit friends and family. The grounds were beautiful and the cottage had everything we needed plus some perks: food and beverages until we could get to the store. We will definitely keep the cottage in mind when we visit again.

Lovely Host and Beautiful Cottage..

The Cottage and property is beautiful, it lies along a private road few neighbors. The cottage is clean comfy and the hosts were very accommodating we were allowed to check in a day early. If you are looking for a relaxing getaway this is it.. We spent a few nights enjoying the sounds of nature around the beautiful fire pit. Lovely!!

Quiet, comfortable stay.

We were attending Dressage at Devon. We didn't want a hotel and found this gem. A 30 minute drive, but worth it. Cottage was well provisioned and Lawson, the owner, was super. Very cozy and private. Will book again.

Perfect stay in paradise.

Home away from home (in a tranquil setting)

Our experience at the Vincent Forge Mansion cottage was extraordinary. The hosts really went above and beyond in providing for all the guests' needs. The property was great for our family! There is a great fishing spot on French Creek, the flower gardens are beautiful, and there is ample lawn space for kids to play games. We couldn't have asked for more in our "stay-cation."

Absolutely magical stay — better than pictured, worth every penny!

We had the most incredible stay at this cozy little gem on the banks of French Creek. We stayed with our parents and baby, and it truly knocked our socks off! The cottage somehow managed to feel both luxuriously comfortable and homey — the perfect size for our group, with thoughtful touches in every corner.We were struck by how pristine and beautifully maintained everything was. It was spotless, incredibly well-stocked (seriously, the kitchen had everything), and the décor was warm, elegant, and inviting. The beds were dreamy — plush mattresses, soft linens, cozy robes — and having en-suite bathrooms for both bedrooms made everything so easy and relaxing.The hosts went above and beyond. They were friendly, thoughtful, and super responsive — truly made us feel taken care of. Even though the cottage is tucked into a peaceful, quiet setting, it was just a quick drive to stores, restaurants, and attractions. But honestly? We barely wanted to leave. The grounds were stunning — lush lawns that roll down to the creek, tall trees, gardens, and birdsong everywhere. We’ve stayed in a lot of vacation rentals, and this one is maybe our favorite. The photos don’t even do it justice. Every detail has been thought through with such care. It was peaceful, family-friendly, and a totally perfect escape.Whether you’re looking for a quiet weekend, a base for exploring Chester County, or just a reset surrounded by natural natural beauty, this is the place.

Delectable Country Retreat

Lawson and Mike have created beautiful and immaculate places to stay. The Cottage is serene, has every amenity and is beautifully furnished and fitted out. Together with an onsite manager, the couple of very minor questions we had were resolved promptly and very courteously. Others have commented that the Cottage is at the very top tier of properties and we would totally agree! For anyway who is seeking a delightfully relaxing getaway, this is the place; tucked away in a bucolic setting, yet with ready access to the surrounding area with its many places to visit.

Beautiful place to stay while in town for a family wedding

We travelled down to Spring City for a family wedding and this cottage very much exceeded our expectations. When we drove in, we noticed the absolutely gorgeous landscaping! The front patio was our favorite place to spend our time, especially in the morning for breakfast. The cottage was immaculate and clean. The host asked us if there was anything we needed for breakfast supplies. I was so surprised because I only expected an empty fridge to put our food in that we brought with us. To my surprise, the fridge had, eggs, bacon, bread, milk, bagels, butter, peanut butter and more! There was a full basket of fruit on the counter as well as snacks, coffee, tea and wine! The beds were so comfortable and we even had bathrobes to use if we wanted. We felt so much at home and will definitely return if we are in the area again. We highly recommend this property!

Coming back!

My husband and I are originally from the area. For the past few years we have had trouble finding a comfortable place to stay whenever we come back home. Our search is over! We will be returning for every visit back to the Philadelphia area! We stayed in the cottage, which was decorated with perfect cottage charm. Every room was inviting and cozy. The entire cottage was clean, the furniture was excellent quality, and there were wonderful welcoming gifts. It was also well stocked with all those items you might have forgot to pack, or didn’t realized you needed. The property itself is beautiful and has lots of history. I especially appreciate how the cottage has its own outdoor seating and hang out area. It is very apparent that a lot of love and attention to detail has gone into this property, inside and out! Cant wait for our next trip home!
