This beautiful and historic home provides plenty of privacy while also being central to many popular activities in the Berkshires.
The rental property is completely private, guests will have access to the entire house and property.
Guests have use of an outdoor patio with picnic table, gas grill and mountains views, as well as a hammock for dreaming (or
napping). There is also a campfire pit with Adirondack chairs for guests to enjoy!
This inviting home comfortably hosts up to 8 guests across its 4 bedrooms / 2.5 bathrooms. Featuring ample space and privacy, it provides all the essentials for a delightful evening of home-cooked pleasures, boasting not one, but two fully equipped kitchens.
This unique residence seamlessly blends history and modern comfort. The front section, dating back to the 1840s, served as a Schoolhouse, while the rear part, a stylish addition completed in 2000, harmoniously expands upon its heritage. As our guests, you'll enjoy exclusive access to the entire home during your stay, ensuring a private and immersive experience in this captivating blend of old-world charm and contemporary design.
The charming front section of the home features a cozy main floor bedroom with a queen bed and a full bath nearby as well as a family room with smart TV. Ascend to the second-floor loft, where you'll find two twin beds and a combined kitchen and dining area. Please refer to the photos, as it's important to note that the space with the twin beds does not have a door and is shared with the kitchen in the loft. The 2nd floor has a fully equipped galley kitchen featuring a range/oven, microwave, refrigerator, coffee maker, and a complement of cookware.
The newer addition to the home, situated at the rear, boasts two additional upstairs bedrooms—one featuring a King bed and the other a queen size bed. A full bath conveniently serves these bedrooms on the second floor. On the main floor, a spacious fully equipped kitchen welcomes guests with seating for eight around the table. Adjacent to the kitchen, a generously-sized open family room, complete with a smart TV, invites cozy evenings indoors.
Unwind and enjoy the amenities, including an in-home sauna, yoga space, dual smart TVs, high-speed WiFi, an outdoor hammock, and a secluded patio complete with a gas grill and picturesque mountain views from every angle.
Location is everything in the Berkshires, and right from your door you can stroll across a meadow, hike along a mountain stream, cycle through scenic farmland or along the 12- mile Ashuwillticook Rail Trail in nearby Adams. Or drive 20 minutes to MassMoCA and North Adams for an afternoon of art, followed by craft beer at Bright Ideas Brewing, right on the MassMoCA campus.
Tanglewood and attractions in Lenox and Stockbridge, MA are a scenic 40-minute drive south. Other nearby attractions include the Norman Rockwell Museum, Art Omi, and Arrowhead where Herman Melville penned Moby Dick (recently opened to the public and featured in the NY Times).
