About this property
Red Rock Base Camps Teardrop Trailer #4. Take your hotel room outside!
Nothing beats the feeling of spending the night in the great outdoors and there is no better way to experience Moab's amazing red rock desert. Our new Escapod Topo 2 trailers will make your camping experience a glamping experience! Especially when you get to cuddle up in a cozy queen sized bed with soft sheets, pillows, and comforters. Greet the beauty of the red rocks while cooking breakfast in our well equipped outdoor kitchen. We deliver to your campsite. No need to tow!
Comfortable queen bed, soft bedding and plenty of storage inside of the trailer. Well equipped kitchen off of the back, including a gas stove, stainless steel counter, hot and cold water sink, and necessary cooking and cleaning essentials. Additionally a yeti 75 cooler, camp chairs, headlamp, camp rugs, and a trash can are provided. Trailers are solar powered and have propane heat. USB and wireless phone charges are available inside the spacious cabin. Teardrop trailers do not have a bathroom in the unit, bathrooms are available withing walking distance to every campsite in all campgrounds.
Included items: Bedding, pots/pans, cooking utensils, dishes, wine/bottle opener, French press, strainer, cutting board, knife, cleaning supplies, paper towels, dish towels, sponge, camp rugs, headlamp, trash can, camp chairs, cooler, propane, lighter, water.
How it works:
**If your reservation is March-May, Sept-Oct, Moab can be busy! You are required to select your first come first serve campsite by 3pm or have a reservation prior to your arrival. Earlier arrival is always recommended**
1. You can show up in Moab on your check-in date, pick a first come-first serve BLM site, message me with your campsite details and I will deliver your trailer to the site within 3 hours of notification.
or
2. You can reserve your own site at a local campground that takes reservations. KEN'S LAKE RECREATION AREA NOW TAKING RESERVATIONS! Just let me know when you make your reservation where you have your site booked.
**NO DELIVERY TO ARCHES NATIONAL PARK DUE TO FREQUENT GATE CLOSURES.**
Showers: Your trailer does not have a shower. Most reservation campgrounds have showers, just check their amenities before reserving your site. BLM and primitive campsites do not have showers. There are great showers in town though. The Moab Aquatics Center has inexpensive clean showers, which is what I would recommend if you choose a BLM site.
There is a delivery fee if you choose a site outside of a 10 mile radius of Moab. Delivery Fees: $0 within 10 miles. 11-30 miles $80 includes drop off and pick up. No delivery beyond 30 miles.
Pet Fee: $40
Campsite fees are not included in rental price. Guests are responsible for campsite fees. Please bring cash or check for BLM payment.
Coolers do not include ice. Please remember to grab a block of ice before heading back to camp.
After hours first come first serve site selection past 5pm will incur a $100 late fee per hour beyond 5pm. (re: 5:15pm $100, 6:15pm $200, etc.)
FAQ:
"I want to camp in a first come-first serve site. Where should I look?"
Most renters opt for first come-first serve sites.
Recommended areas: Sand Flats Recreation Area, Kane Creek Road, Hwy 128, Hwy 279, and Ken's Lake Rec Area. All of those areas have multiple campgrounds.
"I want to tow it myself. Can I? "
For a variety of reasons, most of them legal, I do not allow customer towing at this time.
"How much water does the trailer come with?"
The trailer comes filled with 21 gallons which should last up to an 5 night rental with conservative water use. Remember, this isn't your home tap so be very thoughtful with your water use. If you are renting for a longer period of time I refill your tank half way through your reservation. If you run out of water before your reservation is up or your designated refill day I can refill your tank for a $40 fee.

About the host
Hosted by Wendy Palmer Marsh

My name is Wendy Palmer Marsh and I am the owner and founder of Red Rock Base Camps.
Red Rock Base Camps was born of my love of camping. There is something truly magical about spending time in our red rock desert and I wanted everyone to have the opportunity to experience it.
Moab has been my home for over 20 years now and I am still exploring new places and loving every second of my life here. I would love to help you find the perfect ride or trail while you are here.
I moved to Moab in 2003 when I first started mountain biking. I eventually had a successful professional downhill mountain bike racing career. For 15 years I managed Chile Pepper Bike Shop and for 9 years I co-owned and coached for Moab Mountain Bike Instruction(now Momentum Mountain Biking.)
I am a mother, a widow, a wife, a step-mom, a mountain biker, an adventurer, an entrepreneur and a lover of nature. Let me show you how special staying in my desert under the glorious Milky Way is.
We are a small family run business. We strive for perfection. We want you to have the absolute best experience that you can while staying and playing here.
Let us take care of the heavy lifting. Don't worry about packing camping gear! We provide everything that you need and even deliver! All you have to do is relax and soak in those healing desert vibes.
