I have enjoyed numerous VRBO vacations, but this home had everything you could possibly need and more! They thought of everything!! Thank you for sharing your beautiful home.
Needed a few days stay to do a walkthrough and close on our new house! Found Beverly’s property and thought this would be perfect. Very comfortable and lovely place, kitchen is very nice and very well equipped! She had a lot of little things others do not consider, she obviously paid attention to detail!Furniture in Beverly’s place is beautiful! Was better than the pictures, master bed and bath is pretty nice and roomy! The whole place is spacious, wonderful stay! Thank you Beverly! Loved it! Definitely will recommend this place to family and friends!
The online listing was perfectly nice, but we were even more pleasantly surprised in person. Also, Beverly was an absolute peach.

Unfortunate
Beverly was flexible in allowing me to bring our 3 small dogs with us, which was greatly appreciated!
When we arrived there was a dead cockroach in the bathtub, mouse droppings behind the sink on the counter in the kitchen, a small bug in the freshly made bed, and either a nest of bugs or more droppings visible behind the bed. I was willing to be flexible with one of those things, maybe two, but everything together made it impossible for us to stay in the house. I had to find a pet friendly hotel at 2am and pay for a second rental. When I reached out to Beverly to explain what we found, with photos, she was unwilling to refund our stay. She was defensive and told me that is just part of a house in the country. She was unwilling to see the situation from my perspective, never once apologized or tried to make it right. There is no possible way that I can recommend anyone to safely stay at this rental.
We had a very nice experience at this property. Bonus was the sleep number bed in the master bedroom. The carpet in the living room is so plush and soft. We use the property as our homebase to go to the NC zoo and the Greensboro science Center/zoo/aquarium. the kitchen was so well stocked. And we loved the notes on the cabinets telling us where things are. I don’t think the hosts missed anything you may need in the kitchen. Very enjoyable, stay! Highly recommended.
Beverly and her rental were wonderful. Even though she was without power due to Hurricane Ian, Beverly checked in on us several times to make sure we were comfortable, and even turned the heat on when it got too cold in the house (thanks again for that!). She's an absolute sweetheart!
The house is super cozy and has a wonderful view. We didn't realize the master bed was a Sleep Number until the second day - so make sure you look for the remote in the nightstand! We will definitely go back to visit this lovely home! Thanks again, Beverly - we appreciate you so much!!!
Bev was a very gracious host. She checked on us prior to our arrival and during our stay. She was quick to respond if we had questions. The house is very well kept. Kitchen is fully stocked with whatever you may need including some basic condiments. I will definitely stay at her place again and recommend it to others
My girlfriend and I needed a weekend away, and we happened upon this cute and spacious home at the north end of Lake Badin. There were 2 parking options, one with room enough for a boat, if we had one with us, and there are a number of public boat ramps within a 5 mile radius.
The place was immaculate and comfy, with 2 bedrooms and 1 medium-sized bathroom. If we hadn’t brought leftovers with us, we would have surely cooked in the kitchen, but reheating food went smoothly in the heavy duty le Creuset pots provided. Good knives and plenty of condiments and staples were also found for furthering the potential cooking. The den/living area had a bank of leather recliner chairs with cupholders, and we watched some DishTV in comfort while we ate our meals.
The house is situated either within or just adjacent to Uwharrie National Forest, so there are lots of outdoorsy possibilities, but it was pretty rainy while we were there, so our exploring was mostly in a 4wd vehicle, so we took lots of pretty pictures on the many gravel roads. We never lost GPS signal on these more remote roads, so hard maps weren’t necessary, like they can be for less-gridded areas of the country.
Beverly was attendant to our very few needs that weren’t explicitly stated, but mostly she just bid us a good relaxing time, and that’s just what we had. Highly recommended!
We stayed here to have a relaxing weekend of fishing. It was very clean and spacious for just my Boyfriend and I. Property owner was very kind and messaged and asked if everything was going good. Will stay again. Plenty of fun on the lake. We brought our boat and had a great time.
Bevs place was absolutely amazing! The security alone made us feel safe! Lots of room for people to spread out and the view of the lake from the front porch was priceless! Will definitely be going back in the near future for pleasure instead of work this time! She has a repeat guest with me!
My husband and I were looking for a weekend getaway with access to Badin Lake. Beverly's property fit the bill perfectly! Had everything we needed to make our short stay perfect.
This house is in a great location and has everything you need. It is not technically on the lake, but right across the road from the lake. You can see the lake through some trees and houses. The front porch is a nice place to relax in the morning. Communication with the home owner was excellent. I would definitely stay here again.
I was at High Rock Lake for a bass fishing tournament. Beverly's place had plenty of parking for my truck and bass boat. After entering the home, it was obvious the place was perfect for visitors. The theater seats were perfect for relaxing and watching tv or to take a nap. The screened in porch is perfect for viewing lake badin, and watching the birds....neighborhood was so quiet and peaceful. I sleep like a baby, bed was so comfortable! I look forward to my next visit to New London!
Bev thought of everything!!! This property has everything you need to make the most of your vacation stay. The kitchen is fully stocked, the beds are comfortable, and the view is incredible!
We stayed in Beverly's home for a bass fishing tournament on Lake High Rock. The location was perfect with a beautiful view of Badin Lake just across the street. The property was immaculately clean and we'll appointed. Beverly was so helpful and always available to answer questions about the area. This home is a hidden gem with a circular drive for anyone fishing or just enjoying the area lakes. We would love to enjoy time here when we visit the area next time. Thank you Beverly!!

Why they chose this property
My family has owned property at Badin Lake since 1954. They loved the area. I bought this home because of the family ties, lake view and my love of fishing.
What makes this property unique
Quiet and relaxing. Lots of time for fishing. Bass fishing tournaments year round. Great location for numerous "day trips"'. Emerald mines, NC State Zoo, Charlotte/Lowe's Motor Speedway, golfing, hiking, biking, search for Big Foot in the Uwharrie National Forest, or just sit on the porch and read a good book. Then take a walk. The woods are beautiful. Especially in fall.
