The house was in a great location for a relaxing getaway during the CoVid-19 pandemic. We had plenty of space for 6 people and the screened-in wrap-around porch provided a lovely breeze and was where we hung out most of the time we were home. Kitchen offered more than we've seen at other places, so we could easily cook most meals and eat either out at the picnic table or on the porch. Clothesline, outdoor shower, and grill were all perks we weren't expecting and really appreciated. House was in great shape and generally had great ocean breezes during a hot week.
My concerns have to do with communication. I sent a message before our trip asking about linens and never received a response. When we arrived I called and emailed a couple of times with questions, also no response. I had to go to the OceanView Realty office to have my questions answered, which was frustrating. Also, the binder in the house had no information that would be useful to a traveler. Information about obtaining beach stickers, where those beach stickers are used, accurate trash and recycling information (we had outdated info in the house), and travel tips about beaches, places to see, and restaurant information were all missing. The binder had detailed information about plumbers, handymen, and how to open and close the house for the season, and a rental contract from 2009, but nothing for the week-long renter, including contact information for the owner.
It's a great house in a great location, but the lack of useful information and the lack of a response to calls, emails, and VRBO messages were frustrating. Fortunately we have traveled to the Cape before and knew some of how to get around, so we had a great vacation.
Also, this house does not have wifi, which is hard to believe in this day and age and is definitely a downside.
