About the host
Hosted by Jenny

While I was born in Los Angeles, I spent the majority of my childhood in Sonoma County. After leaving for college at ASU and then living and working in LA for several years, I returned to the beauty of Northern California's wine country. I own a children's clothing boutique in Santa Rosa, am married and have three children (two of which are twins!). We're a busy family but we have fun and enjoy whatever adventures life throws our way.
Speaking of adventures, we moved to Austin, TX in 2021 and are enjoying getting to know a new city, make new friends and experience new adventures. We have since added three new Texas vacation rentals to our real estate portfolio- a glamping retreat with two tiny houses in Fredericksburg, TX and a beach house in Galveston, TX. With a background in, and passion for design, I poured my love into each of these new projects and I love how they turned out!
I absolutely adore all four of our properties and look forward to sharing them with you!

Why they chose this property
Our little neighborhood of Alamo Springs feels remote and tucked away in the hills of hill country, yet it's just 20 minutes from the hustle and bustle of downtown Fredericksburg. But what makes this spot particularly special, is the fact that the sky is dark and filled with stars at night, you hear nothing but birds chirping, have views from the windows of wild grasses and ancient oaks and grazing deer, yet just down the road you can grab a burger and a beer and listen to live music at Alamo Cafe or gather on the terraced seating at Old Tunnel State Park to watch the bats ascend at dusk. Within 5 minutes you can wine taste, listen to live music and make friends with their exotic animals (zebras, kangaroo, camels, Bicon and more) at Grapetown Vineyard and Farm or grab a burger and fries from Bankersmith. It's truly an ideal vacation getaway!
What makes this property unique
With a background in design and an affinity for high end style, this property is the perfect combination of luxe living while surrounded by nature and wild life as well as dark skies, stars and fireflies at night. And while it's up in the hills and feels like it's "in the middle of nowhere" you can go just down the street to enjoy a burger, live music and full bar at Alamo Springs Cafe. Our property truly is a magical spot and we love getting to share it with our guests!
