Perfection on a wonderful island!

Amazing location, views stunning! This little cottage was perfect, quiet and ideal for what we needed for our stay on Nevis! Austin the host could not have been more helpful before and during our stay! He communicated with us before hand sending useful information, he collected us, drove us around and took us the supermarket! Our hired car was waiting for us and we had the best 3days doing as much as we could and always looked forward to coming back to the cottage to enjoy the views and solitude!

Our host, Austin, made all the arrangements for worry free arrival and departure. A cab met us at the airport in St Kitt's and took us to the water taxi. Austin met us on the Nevis side and drove us to the cottage where our rental car was waiting in the driveway. The cottage was very comfortable with a lovely verandah and gorgeous views. There was always a breeze so the weather was comfortable. It is a small island, so it was easy to drive to beaches, sites, stores and restaurants. The internet was excellent and there was a small TV with a Netflix account (no cable channels). I highly recommend this for a quiet secluded rural vacation (you will hear roosters every morning).

Best view on the island!

We had a great stay in our cottage. Austin was a wonderful host. He was invaluable helping us get our delayed luggage to the island and giving us tips on snorkeling spots as well as just being friendly and answering any questions we had about the island. I look forward to visiting again and soaking up the best view on the island.

Delightful seaview cottage

Pleasant breezes and fantastic views! This cottage is great - beach colors and billowing white curtains. Austin is very helpful in providing information for travel arrangements - airport, taxi, water ferry and car rental. Great host and wonderful property.

My Second Stay

This was my second stay at Seagrape Heights. It just keeps getting better and better! The cottages are beautifully kept and beautifully run! Nevis is an island of spectacular beauty! Watching the sunrise every morning is a sheer delight. You will find lots of adventure, or lots of peace and quiet, whichever you prefer, or both! I went with my two sisterfriends and we had fun we will never forget!!! Be sure to go to the Gin Trap to watch the sunset, to Golden Rock to explore the flora and fauna, Nisbet for live music night, Mangos for live music brunch, and Sunshine’s for the Killer Bees!!! Enjoy!!!

Stunning views, fabulous host

We could not have had an easier arrival on Nevis. Austin arranged every necessary detail on our first visit to the island. He even spent a day giving us a tour of the island and showed us some local spots we would not have found. The cottage was immaculate and set in the hillside with a wrap around porch that has views that are like no other. We will definitely return here and have been sharing this gem with everyone we know. So many hidden beaches just minutes from the property. This place is on the top of our list. Can't wait to return and enjoy more from the top notch host Austin.

LONG DISTANCE VIEW

Perched on a hillside to capture the cooling tradewind breeze, SeaGrape cottage was wonderfully elevated for a gorgeous 180 degree view of the sea below and St Kitts in the distance. While the bedroom did have air conditioning, the windows were thrown open to enjoy the sound of the surf. While the pictures on the website will give you a good idea of the location, they cannot convey the pleasure of a morning coffee nor an evening glass of wine enjoying the stunning view from the porch. The cottage was immaculately clean and well stocked with the little things that are needed to get you going for that first day(s) when staying in a self-provisioning cottage. My wife and I are not strangers for this type of vacation and yet, I was impressed how well thought out everything was and that everything actually worked. Even the knives were sharp. I cannot vouch for the TV as we never turned it on, why bother. If I had to pick one outstanding reminder of my stay I would have to say it was how Austin made everything easy and welcoming. He took care for all the arrangements; trouble free transportation from St Kitts and back, rental car, recommendations for the island and bits of local knowledge that made our stay more relaxing and certainly more enjoyable. Thank you for your kindness. Rick and Cate

Spectacular views of the ocean and sister island St. Kitts - a perfect spot

The photos and description of this lovely cottage don’t do it justice! My wife and I loved our stay - very comfortable, clean and well equipped cottage in an awesome loctation. Fabulous views, walk to the water, minutes drive to the waterfall hike, a few minutes drive to some of the best quiet beaches including Lovers Beach and Oualie Beach. Can’t believe we didn’t stay longer. We had been to Nevis before and picked this cottage based on its location. We were really really pleased with the accommodations, the bedroom is super comfy, the porch is a perfect place to relax, the owner communicates quickly and clearly and gave us great suggestions, provided us with a connection to a discount car rental (Strikers) and Tazel (property manager/assistant) arranged everything for us including transfer from the airport in St Kitts to the water taxi to a pickup in Nevis and a rental car drop off! Wow! Tazel also provided us with countless tips on beaches, hikes, restaurants etc. We will most certainly return!

Sea Grape Heights is Heavenly!

Staying at Sea Grape Heights was an absolutely AMAZING experience!!! I stayed in the one bedroom unit from 3/24 to 4/2/18. Austin and Dawn are fabulous hosts! They’ll help to link you with any services you may need (ex: car rental/driver’s license). They also have plenty of resources to help arrange for outstanding activities and adventures (ex: a dolphin encounter, basket weaving lessons, and a hike up a rainforest mountain to see a waterfall)! The cottage is extremely well appointed, completely comfortable, and absolutely adorable! The ocean view is to die for! I highly recommend it to all!

Great Home Base to Explore the Islnsd

The cottage is high up on a hillside, providing beautiful views of both the Atlantic and Caribbean. It is fully equipped, spotlessly clean and the front porch was great for relaxing, reading or just enjoying the warm breezes. The photos are very accurate, but are of the two bedroom cottage. We stayed in the one bedroom, right next door, and it is of the same design, just somewhat smaller overall. The owner Austin could not have been more helpful, and as he lives on the island was available to help at just about a moments notice. Also, the arrangements he made for our taxi at the St Kitts airport to the dock, then water taxi over to Nevis, all late at night, were seamless and the same for our return to the airport. The cottage is quite private and not really within walking distance of much, but is short drive to all areas of the island - a rental car was important. It made a great place for a home base from which to get about whenever we wanted.

One of the best ever!

View? Check Clean? Check Has everything we need? Check (including a cooler to take to the beach) Has the funnest driveway on earth? Check! To top it off, Austin is a great host and easy to learn the local info from. The pictures don’t do it justice, so if you’re wavering, just do it. You won’t be sorry...

Great Cottage, Beautiful View!!!

I can't say enough good things about Austin Wallace and his cottage. Austin went above and beyond as a host to make sure we arrived safely and were comfortable during our stay. He arranged a taxi to pick us up at the St. Kitts airport and take us to the ferry and then arranged to have us picked up in Nevis and taken to the cottage where there was a rental car waiting for us. The cottage is roomy and comfortable. It has everything you need for a great stay in Nevis. The view is spectacular! We enjoyed sitting on the porch and watching the sunset in the evenings. The cottage is located close to a grocery store and there is a great fruit stand just down the road. You do need a car to get around, though. The driveway is very steep so I would advise you to allow Austin to help you arrange for a rental car that is able to get up it. I would strongly recommend this cottage to anyone.

Stunning Nevis Rental!

Stayed in the 2-bedroom cottage with traveling companion for one week. Located on top of a hill, there are stunning views of the Caribbean Sea & St. Kitts in the distance from the wrap-around porch. Beautifully decorated cottages (there's also a 1-Bedroom unit) feature full kitchens with all appliances, dishes, etc. living rooms, and full bathrooms. Although not used, there are A/C units in all rooms and free WiFi. Tap water is drinkable. Easy walking distance to beaches. Located about 7 miles from Charlestown, shops, and restaurants, so a rental car is recommended, although owners may arrange for private taxi services. Had a wonderful time, relaxing and enjoying Nevis sites!

Very good accomodations

We really enjoyed our stay at Seagrape Heights cottage on Nevis; we spent a week. The view was wonderful overlooking the ocean. We enjoyed sitting on the porch admiring the view and relishing the breezes. There was plenty of shade on the porch which is very important for us. There is a land line for client use, wifi access, and tv, although we never used the tv. The kitchen is well stocked with necessary cooking utensils, stove and refrigerator (with ice maker) but we usually always ate out; we so enjoy the food on Nevis. There is a nice sized shower in the bathroom which we really appreciated. Every room has a ceiling fan which were very adequate for our needs; but there is also an air conditioner in the bedroom which we never used. It was so nice to be able to hear the ocean at night when going to sleep. There is an outside shower for rinsing off after being on the beach. This was very nice, especially since my husband is a diver. It made it easy to clean off his equipment. The only reason I have given this four stars instead of five is that we missed watching the sunset from our porch; the cottage faces pretty well north. A very, very pleasant place to stay. Thank you. My name is Austin Wallace. I was born in Nevis and lived there until was 18 years when I migrated to St. Croix (U. S. V. I) and later attended college in Vermont and post graduate at the University of Michigan. My wife Dawn is a Vermonter who first visited the Nevis in 1976 and fell in love with the island and its natural beauty. After retiring in 2007 we moved back to Nevis where we have a home. One of our plans was to build two home style cottages with adequate amenities and a rental rate that is affordable to visitors to the island. e SeaGrape Height cottages were designed and constructed in accordance with our guidelines. This is the first full year that they became available to guests.

Why they chose this property

SeaGrape Heights cottages were designed by me and my wife Dawn. They were built on land owned by my parents. Since her first visit to Nevis, Dawn picked this spot to build our house. Due to the lack of an access road our house was built in another location. Years later we were able to construct SeaGrape Heights in that spot

What makes this property unique

SeaGrape Heights cottages have the feeling of a home and specifically a tropical home. They are perched on a hillside and accessible only via a private road. They provide the feeling of truly being secluded with no other buildings nearby. The view is indeed very spectacular. This alone is worth the stay.
