Beautiful house in a beautiful location

The house had everything essential needed for a comfortable stay. Minimalism in a beautiful way. The location was peaceful amidst the mountains. Very quiet place to get way from busy life. The host was very prompt and friendly and took the time to call and walk through the house amenities and information about the area before the stay. One thing to note - all the kitchen utensils/cutleries are available. But remember to bring any cooking ingredients (spices, oil etc). Overall, a beautiful house in a beautiful location.

Perfect little spot!

First, all the reviews you read about this property are true. It is immaculate and the communication with the owner is worthy of tour guide status! The thing that separated this place from others is that there was no clutter. Nothing looked used (granted this is a newer property but still!). For those who are OCD - this is a dream! Everything is labeled. All guess work is taken out of the equation for what light switch does what and where. The tap water was excellent too! The utensils, cooking spatulas etc and pots and pans were nice. Towels and linens were comfortable. Yes, the internet was spotty but that was in the description and didn't take away from our stay bc after all - you are in the Yosemite area! We loved being able to back our truck right up to the front door to unload and load every day. Very convenient. Only thing that gave me anxiety each day was the return trip from Yosemite as it was dark (we stayed mid-November) each night and finding this entrance was a bit of a challenge. We finally figured out some markers that helped us spot the driveway (which is definitely steep!) for us to turn in. The trick though is that you are in the fast lane and need everyone behind you to recognize your blinker to know you are turning left when there doesn't even appear to be an entrance/driveway!! Much easier to see in the day time though! Key question is would I stay here again? Absolutely. 45-50 mins from Yosemite Valley!

New, clean, and comfortable house at a great location

The Yosemite Lilac House is a true gem for those who visit Yosemite National Park. The host, Charles, was very helpful and knowledgable about the area. We followed the tips from him and had a wonderful time touring the park. The house is new and the photos don't really do justice to the fine craftsmanship and decoration.

Great stay!

Could not have been more impressed with the Lilac House and Charles. From the start, the communication was outstanding. I talked to Charles about our trip and he provided so much helpful information about the area and Yosemite. Once we arrived at the house, he met us and gave us great suggestions that were really helpful as my wife and I made our first trip to Yosemite. Also, the drive from the house to Yosemite couldn't have been an easier, turn right out of the driveway/road to the house and about 40 minutes later it takes you right to the entrance at the par. The house itself was beyond our expectations. It was clean, organized, and had all of the conveniences you could ask for. The bed was very comfortable, the bathrooms were spotless, and the kitchen was stocked with whatever we needed. We hope to visit the area again sometime and if we do, there is no doubt where we will stay. We really could not have asked for anything better.

MidPines Yosemite Stay

Beautiful home!!! Extremely clean and comfortable. State of the art appliances. Beautiful sunset from the loveseat outside. Charles gave excellent suggestions for travel routes from Mammoth and not-to miss excursions ahead of time. He was present at check-in and made sure I had all of my questions answered. Don't hesitate a minute to book this property for your Yosemite trip!!

Top Notch Accommodations with a caveat.

House is brand new, IMMACULATE, comfortable, and spacious. Owner thought out every detail to make our stay comfortable. That being said, just for the owners information, I didn't like the bathroom sensor lights because I want the choice to turn on the lights, specially in the middle of the night. Internet connection was spotty one night (out of 3) which interrupted our movie is all. Apart from those minor details, the accommodations were absolutely top notch. FYI to future guests, if you want both rooms, better tell the owner ahead (it was locked upon our arrival because we didn't bring guests.) 5-Star on almost everything. 4-Star on check in process because upon arrival, we had to leave again to get internet connection to call the owner for the lock-box code. 4-Star on location due to gravel driveway which will soon be paved per the owner. 4-Star overall because rating would not allow a 4.5. For the right price, I would stay here again.

Very helpful host!

The Lilac is a lovely property. Clean, all amenities that could be needed, and brand new! Less than an hour from Yosemite National Park, which is where we spent our days during our stay. The host is extremely helpful and knowledgeable, as he used to give tours at Yosemite. We highly recommend this property, and would definitely stay here again if we are able to visit again!

Beautiful New Property

We were excited to find a house 15 minutes closer to Yosemite than Mariposa. The house is a brand new listing and was immaculately clean. Perhaps because it is a new listing, there were some stricter rules than most places we have stayed. For example, no non-paying guests are allowed to visit. Assuming you are comfortable with the house rules, this is a no-brainer over a Mariposa hotel.

Lilac House near Yosemite

We had a wonderful stay at the lilac house near Yosemite. Charles are host was very gracious. Showed us everything about the house. It was brand new, wonderfully decorated and very roomy. It’s a perfect vacation home for a family or just a couple. It was well furnished and the kitchen had all the supplies you could use to prepare any meals The location is about 40 minutes from Yosemite national Park. It’s a bit of a drive but staying at Lilac house was well worth it.
