Philly Trip

I’m very thankful I was able to stay at this location. Isolde is a wonderful hostess and it was great to meet her and chat with her family as well! The off street parking was a great accommodation to have and Lyfts were plentiful in the area and more affordable than I expected. The outside porch with seating was an added bonus. The location is unmatched and so close to everything. The bedroom is cozy and has a very homey vibe. We are already planning our next stay! Thank you for a great experience.

Awesome

We loved the house and everything around it! The street we stayed on was actually part of the sightseeing tour! A whole lot of history around the area. I would recommend to anyone that loves history to stay in this house and also the owner was very nice and knowledgeable about the area.

Wonderful Location

The property is located within a 10 minute walking distance of independence park historical locations with the opportunity to be within the local atmosphere. It is also a 25 minute walk from the convention center. Food options are nearby along with the host being gracious to us for use of kitchen. Parking is located within a gated lot with solid security surrounding it. It was a wonderful location and would stay here again if given the opportunity. Highly recommend.

Cozy spot, amazing location, lovely host

Perfect alternative to a hotel room for a single or couple visiting Philadelphia. Location in Society Hill neighborhood is extraordinary - close to all the historic spots. Isolde is a lovely host, gives you space or open to a conversation - your choice. My husband and I won't hesitate to book this cozy space again.

Charming

My husband and I totally enjoyed our stay at Isolde’s home. Her home is so charming and beautiful! We had the 3rd floor to ourselves. The balcony was a plus to have. We were able to leave the car parked and walk to the Historic downtown. We wish we had more time. We will definitely stay here again. Isolde is such a sweet and welcoming lady.

Great place to see Philadelphia from

We had a great time exploring Philadelphia from this apartment. The apartment (you really do have to walk up 3 flights of stairs!) was centrally located to see all the history (or all we could see in 3 days). This neighborhood is an excellent location... and very cute with all the row homes and old churches around. Isolde was super friendly and we liked getting to give Jethro (dog) a pat as we came and went. We had dinner out on the patio our last night.... very lovely, and enjoyed relaxing and reading there in the afternoons.

Great location lovely home

The host has a beautiful home and the accommodations are private on the third floor. They are comfortable and very nice. I did not have much opportunity to use the rooftop deck but what a nice option in the city. The location is prime, so close to so many things!

Perfect Location

Perfect location for exploring Philadelphia’s Historic District, Society Hill and South Street. Gated parking was convenient and allowed us to take day trips to surrounding areas. Isolde was a gracious host. Loved chatting with her over coffee and breakfast!

An amazing taste of Philly

My friend and I booked Isolde's place for a weekend trip to Philadelphia. Communication was prompt and Isolde was very accommodating, even clearing out space in her fridge for my unexpected left overs. She is very respectful of her guests and will give you plenty of privacy. Each morning, Isolde prepared a quaint continental breakfast for us which was the perfect start to our day. Getting to interact with her dog was the cherry on top! The property is an easy walk away from many of the city's highlights and parking was a nonissue as our booking came with one spot in a gated and video surveilled lot just behind Isolde's place. Reaching the third floor, where the room is located, is not a strenuous climb but may present problems for those who have more than a couple of bags/ those who cannot climb stairs well. The bathroom is well stocked with linens but a reminder to bring your own shower gels. We were unable to fully enjoy the outdoor patio due to the above 90F temps but Isolde has decorated it with many beautiful plants. All in all, I would give Isolde's place 6 stars if I could. What a lovely way to introduce myself to my new home as I head off to school!

Charming Stay

My friend and I loved our experience at Isolde’s. Historical exhibits are minutes away by foot. Convenient CVS and grocery store (ACME) on the way for drinks and snacks. Isolde provided a perfect continental breakfast to start the day. She also provided lovely conversation, recommendations and help with anything we needed. I want to go back to her place with my sister who lives in PA!

A beautiful location

Isolde was absolutely wonderful and you're missing out if you don't stay here. There's a cute little balcony with some privacy and the location is so close to many historic sites. I would absolutely stay again.

Fantastic place with exceptional host.

I stayed 4 nights (wed to sun) and enjoyed the whole 3rd floor (bed, bath and patio). The owner was such a pleasure to talk to that it felt like I was staying with a good friend or family member. She provided a tasty, light breakfast to start each day (the jams are really good) and water in the room. This is a very high quality home in a safe location that puts you close to big attractions (liberty bell, independence hall, becuna, olympia, riverfront). She has done a wonderful job decorating the guest quarters. I appreciate someone that cares about how your stay is going. I was also very happy with the gated parking given I needed to leave valuables in my car. Didn't have to worry a bit about it. I absolutely would stay again and I hope to be back. It wasn't far from the river front in case you want to run, walk or ride your bike. 5th street/independence metro station is half a mile away- easy walk.

Comfort and Hospitality

The bedroom and bath were nice. We really enjoyed having a rooftop balcony we could enjoy the evenings just relaxing. Isolde was a wonderful hostess. By the end of the two night stay we felt like we were good friends with her, her dog Jethro and her sister who was visiting. The downtown location was exactly what we wanted to experience. Staying in the heart of the city, being able to walk places for dining and tourism. Having secured parking allowed us to park and not worry about our vehicle. Isolde was the best. We would love to see her again.

Fun in Philly!

Located in a great spot to access historical sites, Isolde's place was just as advertised. The weather conspired against us so we were unable to utilize the cute outdoor deck, but our host was always sunny, friendly and accommodating. A bonus was a continental breakfast each morning, along with home made jams. When we return to Philadelphia, we hope to return to Isolde's place.

Private 3rd Floor

My girlfriend and I had a wonderful trip to the city of Philly, and the place we stayed may have been the best part! Isolde is a wonderful host! Understanding and accommodating, but most of all empathetic! She made our trip worth the stay. We will definitely be using Isolde's lovely home as much as possible when planning trips to the city!

What makes this property unique

The house is uniquely decorated. My grandfather was a sculptor and many of his pieces are located throughout my home. The home is very cozy and has a European flair to it.
