About this property

Victorian gem in the TX Hill Country! Small-town charm, wineries ,& wildflowers

This charming little Victorian gem was constructed sometime before 1900 and maintains much of its original charm. There is a porch or deck on every side of the house so you can enjoy your morning coffee or evening glass of wine from a local winery while appreciating the sunrise, sunset, and quiet beauty of this tiny town in the Texas Hill Country.

The house is only minutes from the town square, with a lovely historical courthouse in its center. Several local wineries have storefronts/tasting rooms on the square, and there are little shops and restaurants, and the still-operating Odeon Theater, which has frequent musical guests and movies.

The bedrooms have combinations of window treatments so you can allow as much or as little light in as needed. The kitchen and bathrooms have had several updates such as new faucets and appliances to make them more appealing and comfortable, and there is a small coffee station and mini-fridge set up in the room between the two bedrooms for added convenience.

Mason is a great home base for explore the Texas Hill Country, with access to larger ( and more expensive/crowded) towns like Fredericksburg, Llano, Junction, along country roads dotted with wildflowers, horses, goats, cattle (including longhorns!). It is about a two-hour drive from the Austin or San Antonio airports.
