Just two blocks from the ocean in Jax Beach's best neighborhood, The Oasis has the best of both worlds. After the beach, enjoy a refreshing dip in the pool. Rinse off in the enclosed hot/cold outdoor shower and air dry poolside in a lounger or in the hammock. During the colder months, put the fire pit to use (wood provided) or bundle up inside and relax on the comfy couches in the living room. Enjoy dinner with family and friends at the over-sized dining table that seats eight, or relax on the cozy sofas watching the game on the 59" big screen TV. If you prefer some quiet time, settle back in the reading area to enjoy your favorite book. This is a great place to get away and enjoy the sun and the pristine beaches Jacksonville has to offer. There is a security camera located at the front of the beachhouse facing the driveway/street.

Great Location.

We had a really nice stay here. The property met our needs very well. A short walk to the beach and several restaurants nearby. Beds were comfortable and pool and yard were really nice. It could use a little updating, but for the price it was great.

Spring Break get-away

The property is very clean and the decor is great. The air conditioning did a great job of keeping the place cool. The rooms are airy and bright. Highly recommend. They are very attentive and responsive; two of the patio chairs had a broken slat and they were fixed the next morning before we went to the pool. Would definitely book again and bring my kids. Easy walk to the beach and to two coffee places.

Beach vibes

We had a great time! There was so much space ! We could have had 8 ppl easily…. Pool was beautiful … our only issue was that the cleaners hadn’t come for our first night … but that night was promptly refunded and the entire team was so apologetic and made it right… we will stay here again!

Easy access

Our overall stay was good despite the hickup during check in. I would say that the pool not having a children's spot may not be very safe for children. Also the pressure for the outside shower is very low.Access to the bathroom was kinda confusing in the beginning. Otherwise we loved the close access to the beach and nearness to the stores. Very convenient.

Georgous top to bottom!

This is the first time I've used VRBO and I can't say enough about our stay! The inside was georgous and more than enough space for our family ( 4 adults and 2 kids). We spent hours by the pool and enjoyed short walks to the beach to play in the sand. The house had everything we needed from beach towels to boogie boards for the kids to play at the beach. We grilled out every evening and enjoyed family dinners together in the newly built dining/living area. The home owner was extreamly kind and more than accommodating. We will definitely be back for another visit!

Very enjoyable

We really enjoyed our stay. The upstairs apartment was very nice, very spacious! The pool was a huge highlight. There is a downstairs with a tenant and he was nice and I have no complaints about that part. However the listing should be clear that you are renting upstairs and there is a tenant downstairs. The listing has nothing about that currently. It wasn’t an issue for us but people should be aware of what they are walking into prior to booking.

Great location!

Our family stayed at The Oasis in early April. It was great for our family of 5. The kitchen was well-stocked - all you would need and full-size fridge/stove/oven. Space worked well for us - 2 bedrooms and a huge couch in the living room gave us enough sleeping and living space for all. We ate breakfast out on the deck most days and it was perfect for that time of year (note this location does not have a dining area inside). We did take a dip in the pool but the weather was pretty cold that week so we opted for building sandcastles on the beach most days instead (2 blocks away!). The owner, Bill, was very responsive to any questions we had. Overall, this is a great location - close to beaches, shops, restaurants, and more!

Great location to the beach and plenty other things

Family of 5 had plenty room, even with 2 teenage daughters, could have easily fit 3-4 more people. No issues with the tenant downstairs. If you like thick pillows, bring you one, I doubled up and it was fine. Beach was about 2 blocks and plenty of nearby groceries, pharmacies, food and shops. Easy access to 202 the main route out. We stay at Jax Beach 1-2x a year and this is a decent location. October will be our cut off month though lol it was perfect weather for exploring but no water activities without freezing so no more November-mid April visits will looking for the best location. We are considering moving to Jax Beach so we stay in different locations and this was a top 5 favorite location as far as access to things!

Great location, not clean

The numerous stains on the carpet were an unexpected sight. Very disappointed with that. Great location for sure but the outside if the house wasn't clean either. Just a little surprising.

Fantastic Beach Getaway!

My family of 5 had a wonderful week at this house to celebrate my husband’s birthday. There was plenty of space for us to spread out & it yet there was really relaxing gathering spaces as well. The location can’t be beat & my children LOVED the pool! Bill was a great communicator, answering any questions promptly. One of the bedrooms even had an XBox which was a much welcomed surprise for my boys! We would definitely stay here again in the future!

This owner intentionally misleads prospective travelers and VRBO has not yet provided a refund

This property was listed as a "Private Beach House" with a "private pool." Neither the house, nor the pool, are private as both are shared with a tenant. As such, we refused to stay and have requested a full refund due to the fraudulent nature of the listing - which seemingly violates VRBO policy and consumer protection act laws. After refusing to cancel and refund our reservation, the owner changed the property description to omit "private beach house" in the listing. Additionally, after confirming our reservations, the owner stated a rule that the pool can only be used when the pool cleaning equipment was still in the pool. Seems a little dangerous to expect people to only swim around pool cleaning equipment? Travelers Beware

Nice pool, great location

The pool was lovely and the house is in a great location that is easily walkable (even with young kids) to a less crowded area of the beach. Lots of restaurants and stores very close by.

Beautiful and clean. Spacious back yard and pool.

We were down for my daughter's wedding. The house was great and spacious for her to get ready at. The photographer took beautiful pictures at the house. Although the weather didn't cooperate for a swim gathering after the wedding, we had a plan B for an indoor place to gather. We were just grateful to get the ceremony done on the beach before the rain. We would definitely stay again should the need to come down arise. Thanks so much for sharing your beautiful home with us for such a special occasion. ❤😊

Wonderful Property

We needed a place to stay while our home was having some work done. We were lucky to get this place. The house was perfect for my wife and I and our two kids (5 & 8). The kids’ room was awesome and the pool is incredible. You can walk to the beach and the property manager was easy to get a hold of for any questions. We will definitely do this again even though we live only a few miles away.

Fantastic stay at this charming house

Just got back from a long weekend at this totally charming and very comfortable house. It was absolutely perfect for us. Had everything we needed for a family of four + local friends who came to visit a few times. With 3 bedrooms and a good-sized living room, we had loads of space. (The big DR table was a huge plus when we cooked dinner for 8 one night.) Bedrooms were very comfortable and quiet with beachy, colorful linens, and the kitchen was stocked with anything you could need. The location was amazing! Just a 3-min walk to a gorgeous beach, a few blocks from our friends and very close to markets and great coffee. Even though we had a chilly day or two we made use of the fab yard too--weather be darned, the kids were in the pool every chance they got. Despite the proximity to everything, it still felt very private and peaceful. And the owners were very quick to respond to all questions. All in all, a wonderful stay! Look forward to coming back.

Great place!

Property was great and met the needs of our family of 5! Only thing that would have made the experience better would have been some beach chairs, boogie boards and sand toys to take to the beach! We did leave behind some sand toys that we got for the next guests!
