Had a great time.

Attended the Grandfather Mountain Highland Games and this cabin was in a great location. Really clean and neat. Driveway is rocked. Will definitely book again for the next trip!

Wonderful location

The cottage is absolutely perfect! Kate was a very responsive host and made the process so easy. Surrounded by trees and horses, its an idyllic location. I highly recommend and look forward to returning!

Lovely little getaway

This sweet little cabin was the perfect answer to our need to get out of the noisy city for the weekend; it was so peaceful. Property was clean and easy to access. The bed has an extra firm mattress, so if you are used to softer ones, this may be an issue. We slept fine both nights. Easy check in and out process. Will definitely come back!

1st stay at a rental house.

We enjoyed our stay. There were a few minor things but nothing major to complain about. We would definitely stay here again. Saw deer right outside our windows. Was peaceful and quiet.

Perfect small cabin

This was everything we needed for a weekend getaway. We followed instructions and had no issues finding it or getting in. Spacious for being 1 bed 1 bath. I’m sure it’s even more beautiful in the fall !

Secluded, energizing getaway

Humble, 1 bedroom, apartment style cabin in the woods. Enjoyed the open indoor space, cleanliness and, as nature intended, setting. Within 30 mins, we got to visit Banner Elk & Beech Mountain and enjoyed a great sandwich at the Ham Shop! Great place to steal away and reenergize! Loved it!

Overall, the cabin was lovely and clean. We did have an issue with getting stuck in the snow in the driveway the first night. Emailed owner (because it was too late to call), but never got a response.

Cute and secluded cottage

This cottage was super cute and secluded. It was very clean. Check in was easy. The listing had a hot tub as an amenity, but the house did not have one. The bed was also super hard and uncomfortable. Otherwise everything else was wonderful.

Very cute cottage!

The cottage was well equipped, cute, and secluded. I am perplexed as to why there isn’t a television in the living room when there is a beautiful brand new sectional. Internet worked great! The bed could use replacing, when I rolled over I could hear the springs crunching, and I’m not a big person. Overall I enjoyed my stay and would come back.

Cozy! Clean!

Hubby and I stayed for the weekend, check in and out was easy, home was clean and cozy. The drive from the main road to the house is nice with horses and cows that greet you we the way. You pass right by a neighboring cemetery that sets a spooky mood if your coming up in the dark and in return leaves you a little on edge about the living room and kitchen not having curtains or blinds! But otherwise a breathtaking views

A comfortable bed is important

Property was as described. As with other reviews, the property was very clean. Private and a lovely porch that could be accessed both from the living room and the bedroom. The negatives: we slept on the couch the second night. The bed is very hard. We had a better nights sleep from the couch. The bathroom sink drains very slow. The microwave handle is completely broken at the bottom and will probably break completely off soon. Lastly, the kitchen has very limited supplies. Unfortunately we can’t recommend this place solely based on the bed.
